They are massive scammers. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THEM. They trick you into buying pc protection by making you think your pc is infected, then when you realise you've been scammed and try to get your money back through 'customer services' (they shouldn't even be allowed to call themselves that), they try to make you do it by paying even more money, and it's impossible to get back. They now have £28 of my hard earned money and I have nothing but stress and aggravation for it!

I unsubcribed &cancelled my subscription last year & then found they still took another year's subscription. I had no choice but to turn off the auto billing option & remove my card details. This year they have attempted to take payment unsuccessfully on my previous card, as no card details held. This is the 2nd time I have unsubscribed & received confirmation that it was successful. I no longer gave the device it was on ,& it caused more problems than it solved anyway. I previously found them to be very good, but not anymore. No email or proper contactable source

- Alligevel har jeg lige modtaget en mail fra AVAST hvor de skriver "Tak fordi du bliver hos os" og er så flinke at oplyse opkrævningsbeløb for det abonnement AVAST selv har kvitteret for jeg har afbestilt.. HOLD JER LANGT VÆK - det er snyd og bedrag.

Absolutel useless - no way of contacting them by email and webform will not take administrative queries at all. Getting unwanted/unneccessary warnings and you cant complain. Terrible.

Half a year refund processing!!!!
It's been 6 months now please process the refund. I have sent you my statement from Oct 2021- Jan 2022 and there is no refund coming from you. I wuld really appreciate if you reply my email.

Products auto renew, wen ask for refund they say it has been sent wen it has not been recieved back have sent proof off PayPal to show this yet they still basically call you a liar. Worst customer service I have ever recieved now out of pocket for 6 weeks and have to wait a further 3 weeks before PayPal are able to get my money back STAY GLEAR OF THIS COMPANY
Have been sent an email the day after I left this review to give them more information so they can send a better reply to this review I will not be wasting my time as it’s clear of these reviews it makes no differance and I cannot be bothered with anymore stress from it will have my refund by end of month through PayPal and will never give or recommend this scamming company to anybody ever again

Warning!!!!!!! Scammers and thieves. They automatically renewed my subscription. I asked to unsubscribe and refund. I was informed that there was no problem. It took 30 days and I received nothing. I have contacted Avast many times and every time I hear that a day or two more and you will get a refund. The final is that I was robbed of money until today I have not received a refund. Beware of the thieves named Avast and don't buy their products.

Having complained to Avast that they have charged my card £74.99 for an account that was cancelled over 3 years ago. Their reply is that their payment system defaults to renewal. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF THE WORD CANCELLED!!!!!! There was no mention of returning my money that they stole. Next step report them to the card company.

Terrible customer support and do not use auto renew
Terrible customer support. Upgraded my product and used auto renew but did not realise they were renewing both the original and the new product and they refused any help or refund despite being paid twice. Will never use again and do not auto renew with them. Advised everyone I know and all clients of my practice to avoid them.
It's not worth it
Yes there customer/tech support is horrible. The support staff with whom you talk to are from India. They speak English but not American English. It is very very hard to understand them and there are loads of pitfalls along the way.
Another thing to take into consideration is their use of Cleverbridge for payment and billing. Parallels uses them also and they are the customer support from hell. After my experiences with Parallels and Avast I will never purchase any product from a company that uses CleverBridge.

hej.. har ellers altid været glad for avast og anbefalet den til andre, MEN de først trukket 450 for VPN 1 år selvom prisen var 300 dk. jeg skriver til dem og får pengene tilbage og gratis VPN 6 md ok :).. nu har de trukket 400 for driver update, som ikke virker medmindre jeg betaler 400 igen.. har skrevet til 4 gange nu, og intet svar fået hmm grr

Dreadful - go somewhere else for your software
Absolutely abysmal software and customer service.
I purchased Avast's Driver Updater software (through Paypal) which tried to replace current drivers with more up to date versions that were NOT COMPATIBLE with my computer. Unfortunately I also accidentally purchased their 'AntiTrack Premium' at the same time. I immediately contacted Avast to let them know and disputed the purchases with Paypal. Repeated calls and e-mails to their customer service (who speak very poor English, difficult to understand and have very quiet microphones so they can't be heard very well) resulted in e-mails stating that the refunds had been made - THEY HAD NOT. They had lied to me and then demanded a multitude of documentary evidence to prove that I had closed the disputed purchases with Paypal. I still haven't received my refunds 3 weeks after buying them. What a dreadful service - I will be removing all Avast products from our computers and will never use their products again.
As you can see from their badly worded reply below - they provide platitudes & give the impression they want to help but their call centre staff are liars and just want to get you off the phone. I have been promised my refunds would be in my bank within 2 working days - THEY WEREN'T.
