Watch your credit card statements

Watch your credit card statements. Billed me $99 for an app. I hadn't even logged in to my inactive site for six months. I guess the $23.99 a month I was already paying wasn't enough so they tacked on unauthorized services.

Since we started using 3dcart we…

Since we started using 3dcart we haven't had any issues with our site. Cost wise is a lot less than other platforms and the tech support is top shelf for any questions that we may have and eager to help.
So far we are happy with the services we receive from 3dcart.

I am very happy with 3dcart

I am very happy with 3dcart. It is feature rich, unlimited products, photos, etc. Tracks inventory. Integrates with Quickbooks and Stamps.com. And many more features. Also tech support is always excellent!

We are a 20 year old eCommerce company

We are a 20 year old eCommerce company. Our company has used 3d cart for several years. We have also used other platforms before switching to 3dcart. There are pluses and minuses to every platform. I would say the biggest (really my only) negative is support staff. This problem is not limited to 3dcart. Finding good employees has become harder in all fields. With that being said, In my opinion, being a smaller company is their biggest advantage. Not that 3d is small, but relatively speaking, you will have a better chance of being heard at 3dcart than the other top competitors. They do have very knowledgeable support staff, they are just sometimes hard to get to. Some of the negative reviews I read are just rants. At times I have had rants also. Again, dealing with a smaller company, you will have a better shot at getting your issues heard and resolution. Overall all - my experience has been positive.

My experience of 3dcart is very poor…

My experience of 3dcart is very poor customer service, very little help unless you pay for it, hard to construct if you're not a techy type. I have used a few now inc Shopify, Big Cartel and currently Ecwid and all have been much easier to use from the outset. 3dcart may be cheaper on the surface but not when you actually try to set things up and if you decide to change the web address after a week you have to pay for it changing. In fact you will have to pay for many things that you get included with the others, I showed interest in this one when I was first setting up as it came up in google search, I set up a free trial but went with Shopify and never used 3dcarts free trial, I then got bombarded with emails with half price offers and telling me how good and easy it is etc, it's not in my opinion. 10 days in and I still didn't have a working site (my skills are very basic) and whenever I asked for help it took 1/2 days to get a response and that was of no help. I gave up and moved to Ecwid (I sell Vape products online and there's not as much choice as you think) and with Ecwid my site was up and running within hours. Avoid 3dcart if you are like me and not skilled with website creation, my opinion.

I was ready to QUIT!!!!

I was ready to QUIT!!!!! But the support I received from Tech support/customer service was thorough, specific to my issue with training and above all it was addressed and fixed with every single interaction just was amazing... They were their every step of the way!!!

Solid, Reliable Ecommerce Platform

I've used 3dcart for over 8 years and have found it to be solid and reliable. It's very customizable in terms of the look and organization, as well as the functionality. It has many built-in features that are extras for other platforms (email marketing, autoresponders, etc), but has add-on apps as well. There really isn't anything you can't do with their platform. And I've always found their customer service to be very responsive.

I've tried them all. GoDaddy was easy to set-up, and despite the easy SEO setup, traffic was slim pickings. Shopify was really nice all around, but expensive on a monthly basis. I left Shopify because it felt like I just wasn't a big enough company for them (I'm a one-person business). Squarespace was rigid - there isn't much freedom for website set up. Wix gets rave reviews which I don't understand at all. I had to adjust my site for large screens, tablets, mobile - every platform needed tweaked. It was a nightmare. And since I cancelled my year-long service at 15 days instead of 14, they would not refund me.

3dCart was a little pricey at first because they didn't include the trust certificate if you want your own domain name, and I was unfamiliar with that concept. It's included in all other plans. But once I purchased the certificate, I am sooo happy with 3dCart. I have a ton of control over my site appearance. I can fill phone orders, which is a rarity. They have a POS module. My traffic has drastically improved. I use a lot of custom html, and that's a definite bonus if you know how to fight your way through html code. Other things are purchaseable at a $100+ pricetag, but I haven't purchased anything extra and I'm in great shape. Mailchimp integrations, zapier integrations, and other 3rd party freebies are all I use. 3dCart is definitely my home.

One thing I can say is that their support is good. I can imagine they're overwhelmed, but they do answer within a decent amount of time (even outside of working hours).
3dcart software is much cheaper than alternatives like BigCommerce and Shopify, but their features and functions are on-par with them.

Let me provide you with a live "as it happens" review of 3dcart's service: earlier this evening I availed myself of their Live Chat facility in order to remedy a perceived technical fault. I raised my question at 20.01, it's now 21.01 as I write, and I am still waiting for a response. Now, let me repeat two statements which I can currently read in 3dcart's Live Chat window. First statement: "we're here and ready to help you." Second statement: "We’ll answer you right away." Hmmmm, gentle reader, make of this what you will.

PLEASE do not use 3dcart. They are thieves and will steal your hard earned money even after you cancel your services. I used these low life crooks two years ago not even for a month before I cancelled my service. Then on 7/20/2020 I find out these CROOKS started charging my account on 3/20/20 out the blue for NO reason. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR DEBIT CARD INFO. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY

Absolutely amazing experience

Absolutely amazing experience. Platform is very easy to use as long as you have a solid basic understanding of computers. The site is easy to navigate and any questions are always answered by either the knowledge base or a customer service agent. Highly recommended, I couldn't believe it was this easy to make a website. These guys are the real deal.

Very poor experience I have tried to cancel my subscription as I didn't like until I paid they told me I have to pay for all help with the website on a timed consultation pay by the hour. Then the only way to get help is to contact the help team but if you want a refund they will ignore you want your money under the 30 day money back guarantee and direct you to cancel where it will not give you your money back. You are direct to the billing team who took over 24 hours to get this resolved. And then when I complained as I was direct to a place where I would have lost my money it was my fault. And then patronised by saying have a wonderful day!

AVOID!!!

Love their reply still no sorry for trying to con me not to get a refund!

When it comes to design and custom code work we have paid webmaster task. However the support for the cart functionality is free and available 24hrs.

I'm using 3dcart over 3 years. Can't say I do not understand programming and how work with plugins and maybe I could build my own website some where else from 0. But, in the long run in business, I found, I can't do everything alone. It's take a lot of time, researches and knowledge. That's why this platform can help me save time and focus more on business, instead all the time update software, database, plugins, server and as well domain name. As a benefit 3dcart have good support and if you need something, this guys always can help.

i have had 3 cart over twelve months…

i have had 3 cart over twelve months and have no sales , i also have a site on shopify and have had over 140 sales in the same period. I have been trying to cancel my account for 5 months and they still take money from my account. i would keep away from 3D cart not worth the hassle

I'm sorry to hear of the trouble you had with sales did you ever contact us regarding that? If you are still looking to cancel there are multiple ways to do so. You can email your request to billing@3dcart.com or login to the admin and cancel:

Log into your 3dcart Online Store Manager
Go to the bottom of the left hand navigation menu and click on the $ Icon to get to your billing screens
Under the services section you'll see your domain name and plan details.
Look towards the far right of the listing and click "cancel" to review the cancellation instructions.

I've been with 3d cart for I guess it's…

I've been with 3d cart for I guess it's been about 6 or 7 years. As a website designer with a side business selling restaurant guest checks my product line got too big and complicated for me to manage as I would client websites that are not ecommerce.

I chose 3dcart after checking around ALOT. I still check around just because I think that's smart. I like the price. I like the options. I prefer the service.

Now I've seen some less than stellar customer service from time to time but I have to say that's gotten far more consistently better year over year.

I think this matters because, as a website designer, I only need help with the more unusual issues rather. An example of this was a quirk in how we ship ground UPS when over 150 pounds. It was really a UPS issue. Complicated but suffice it to say the customer service person took down the problem, repeated it back to me to make sure he understood it and sent it to be worked on. A couple days later the IT people had a fix in place.

Working with GoDaddy I often see them not listening well, assuming I am talking about a common issue and then I have to push past their bad diagnosis and repeat the problem more than once to get through to them.

That does not happen with 3dcart. It doesn't happen because the people answering the phone are listening to what you are saying and they are well-trained enough to know if they can help or they need to make a ticket to send it up...and over the years that has happened a few times.

I've seen some cranky reviews but it's important to understand ecommerce is an ever-evolving business. It's wrong to assume it's super simple to use any platform like this. Still, I've had clients use other platforms who've run into problems that just don't get solved or they are put trough nightmarish nonsense to get to a solution. I have never had that with 3dcart.

Bumps, sure, but it works out and without putting people through a crap storm of days of back and forth just trying to get someone to get what you are saying. So, yeah, damn right 5 stars.

It also states that the services will be billed automatically each month. Absolute terrible pricing model and only techies can handle this

They charge for everything and I bet everyone will feel Ryanair is far better at this.
When you compare the annual price, it sounds cheaper with 3dcart. About 114$.But you won't have many options available at the control panel.

All free themes are looking absolute rubbish plain white or black or light pink, so that everyone will hate. While they also advertise all premium templates which are colourful and has all minimum content that a e-commerce site should have. Each template costs well over 149$.

Then to secure the site, SSL costs 399$ per year. Right the SSL certificate available 50$ per year for domains from third party provider. It doesn't end there. This works only for check out page.If you want it for all pages, you need to pay 199$ more. Hope any software developer can understand how stupid this is. SSL belongs to a domain when you buy, not per page.

Even if you get the certificate from 3rd party, they still need 199$ for sitewide security, but on top they want 49$ to install it. This is what i have found in my first week. More to come like adding more users to access adds another 120$ a year in subscription and so on.
Apart from subscription fee, nothing this guys charging is justifiable.

Regarding the themes we have over 40+ free themes to choose from: https://themes.3dcart.com/All-Themes_c_32-1-1.html You can customized them but there are some that need little to no change. The ssl prices vary based on the level of security. We have an ssl for 99$for the year not just 399$ one. The fee for the third-party installation is to make it compatible for our servers. This fee is not charged if ordered directly through us due to our admins requesting the certificate. Also when an ssl is installed by default the site pages that are secured are pages when there are specific actions taken by the shopper to complete the order. These pages include the view cart, checkout, customer registration, shipping information etc. It possible to make the entire site secure and we have a knowledge base article that walks you through the steps for free. However if you would like for us to do so there is a fee. In the case of the additional user its account based, for the same price of the additional user you can go to the basic account from the startup and also get additional features included. I highly do not recommend using this company. Customer service is absolutely terrible. They do not answer to their phone calls and it takes them 2-3 days to reply if you decide to message them. Our website is closed on Sundays, but orders kept coming through, and all they said that we have to close our store manually. We can not do that because what if someone will want to place an order that day for the future. I have lost customers because of this! I do not recommend using this company if you want to spend your money on a service that will actually do their job. Will be looking for a new service, that is more professional.
