I used West One to get a consolidation loan. Their service was Ist class whilst the application process was proceeding. Their customer service was excellent. I recommend them to anyone needing a loan. I dealt with Tianna. She was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful

The worst experience I have had with any company . Received an AIP within 24 hrs which looked promising… 3 months later I still didn’t have an offer or a decline it was the most painful process they took 3 days to respond to anything and would come back with requests for more information and evidence in the end they had around 30 different requested documents. I genuinely believe that they didn’t want to lend or maybe they are just completely incompetent. My mortgage broker spoke to them on a number of occasions and he said that they were satisfied with the evidence only for west one to then request more. One time he spoke to them he said that the manager admitted “ we really dropped the ball on this one” but then nothing changed it was still the same story. I really wouldn’t have minded if it had been declined at least I would have been able to move on. I ended up losing the flat and I made the very expensive decision of pulling out because I could not take anymore. All in all cost me 3 months of anxiety, around £950 in valuation and legal fees and I lost the property. If your broker recommends don’t accept this there are other options and I am now with a lender that took only 3 weeks to agree mortgage.

I have worked with Peter Maina for a few months now and West One have become my most recommended lender.
In part due to their affordability and marketing leading rate and in part because of the support the BDM's like Peter give from inquiry to completion.

Very Frustrating, the bridge loan department were ok but the mortgage/remortgage were so slow and constantly changing the goal posts and delays were a regular occurrence.
Left hand has no idea what the right is doing.
Just an all round awful experience with this company.
I would advise against using west one.
