absolutely awful company I could definitely say do not use nothing but problems trying to obtain the money as I asked for the same paperwork three or four times then when we went to get a red redemption certificate so we could pay the bridge in loan off they wouldn’t even tell us what the amount was. It had to all go through I solicitor. In short if you want to go to a company that triplicates everything has very high charges and won’t even give you the information you need to settle the debt then this is a company for you. Good advice would be go to another company.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to Caitlin Smith, for all her help over the last couple of months. She has always kept us up to date on all the offered cases with Legals.

Last week, we had an issue around a completion and the vendor was about to pull out of the transaction. However, Caitlin seized the initiative and managed to find a solution to the issue, and funds were released later that day. This is just one example of her hard work and excellent professionalism!

As a mortgage broker , we need lenders to respond when we need answers , Lesley Terry at West One does just that Night and Day , weekend always responds , and you get yes or no answers not maybe , West one are an important lender for those cases that just dont fit the high street and having an excellent BDM makes life much smoother

West One offer another option for clients who need affordability stretching which works very well, their call centre staff customer service could be better so I now speak directly to my BDM who always answers calls/email in a timely manner and finds answers to questions/queries when i need support.

To have a face to face BDM is espcially helpful

I recently completed a remortgage through West One Secured Loans, and I’m pleased to share that the experience was a positive one—thanks in large part to the outstanding support I received from Tina Nkay in the Residential Completions team.

Throughout the process, there were a few hiccups, but Tina remained consistently helpful, professional, and supportive. She took ownership of the situation, ensured that any issues were promptly addressed, and saw the process through to completion with care and dedication. Her communication was clear and reassuring, which made a potentially stressful experience much smoother.

I want to sincerely acknowledge and thank Tina for her commitment and excellent service. She is a credit to the team at West One.

I would advise caution when dealing with Westone. During my mortgage application process, they consistently requested an excessive number of documents, all of which I provided promptly. However, they took an unreasonably long time to respond to my mortgage advisor, causing significant delays.

Despite confirming that I met their stated criteria and initially indicating that they would honour this, the process dragged on with little clarity or progress. If a mortgage application is ultimately going to be declined, it would be far more respectful and efficient to communicate that decision promptly, rather than prolong the process unnecessarily.

Me and my wife were going for our 1st mortgage, we had been evicted from rented accomadation due to landlord selling so we hired a broker who said they could get us a mortgage. Due to a default on my report ( that i got during covid when the goverment took away my job ) from 4 years ago they put us in touch with west one.
We had an offer accepted on a house, seller wanted a quick sale, we wanted a quick buy as we were living in a travelodge. The lender was told this. If anything it made them go slower, week by week went by and the were just asking the dumbest most irrelevent questions they could think of.
It got to the point we had to back out because these guys are inept an unempathetic.
We lost a chance to get on the ladder because west one were waiting at the top with their pants down taking a dump on me.

As a broker I had a fantastic experience with West One. The underwriting was seamless and straighforward and we aquired the offer very quickly for a complicated BTL purchase.
I would give Nicky Imberg and her team 5 stars for their knowledge, professionalism and excelence in truly understanding the complexites of the case. However West One uses Graphene Legal as their solicitor of choice and we did not have a good experience with them. They are difficult to get ahold of and requested the same documents and information multiple times, including requesting information on the day of completion, resulting in delays and for my client to nearly lose out on the deal. If it was not for Nicky's intervention we would have lost the deal.

Tina was absolutely brilliant with her sunny, personable personality. She provided professionalism with a personal touch. An absolute credit to the company.
