Flavourless. Bland. Over-priced. We ordered takeout from the Didsbury Manchester restaurant. 3 x curry bowls & 2 extra sauces. We paid over £50. We were all underwhelmed by the flavours. Definitely... Leggi di più

Disappointed with Payment Process
Food was fine but very disappointed that overpayment error is yet to be repaid to me having been assured that it it was voided on Saturday 5th October. I have provided bank details to Whiteley Wagamama again but still not actioned. Will not visit again.
UNBELIEVABLE STORY!
UNBELIEVABLE STORY!! welcome to share.
Attended wagamama on 22nd September and left my cap (hat)
Rang up the following day to see if they have it and would save it till the next time I'm passing as I live 15 miles away.
Got told they have my cap and they would keep it in their lost property, no problem.
So I was Attending a birthday meal a week later and decided to pick up my cap on the way. So I went in to the restaurant I asked for the cap. To be told a manger has taken my property home to his/her house to wash it. (You shouldn't put caps in the washer) I was shocked and ask why a staff member would take someone else's personal property to their house. It's theft and surly against company policy. I left my number and name and ended up driving back 4 days later to pick up my cap.
The cap it ruined. They put it in the wash and it's lost all its shape and dull in colour.
When I asked if they thought it was acceptable to give someone else property back like that. "You got your hat back darling" and that she washes her own hat all time. Never heard anything like in my life. Tried palming me off with a free meal.
You've already broke my trust why would I trust you to cook my food. I think a staff member tried to steal my cap, so the team made up a b.s story.
AVOID!!!
Items missing, 2hr waits, food cold etc
St Albans branch via Deliveroo might as well give up. Repeated fails. When we ordered delivery app said 25-40 mins. 2 hrs later we are still waiting. The updates on the apps seem to be made up lies as thee delivery time just gets put back and back.
Previous experiences have been poor also. Items missing, wrong items supplied “, food cold, long wait times- it’s a bit of a lottery as to what and when you’ll get your order.
But tonight’s experience tops them all. We haven’t ordered from Wagamama for months due to the shonkiness of the experience and this will 100% be the last time.
To be fair it’s difficult to tell whether it’s Waggas or Deliveroo that are the problem.
All I know is our Saturday evening has been ruined. Again.

Don’t bother getting a delivery from Wagamama Whitely. Sent my main dish that’s wrong! They sent. Spicy dish so can’t even eat it. This is the second time my order has been wrong though I would give them the benefit of doubt and yet again wrong items sent. Waste of my hard earned money and will never eat here again. Shame on you Wagamama Whiteley

Freezing. Eat Fast, Leave Fast. Don't Tip?
Gatwick North. Stopped for a snack, nothing to complain about there. However, it is very sharp practice to turn the air con up so high that you can turn tables quicker. The uninitiated sitting in their coats etc. An intelligence insulting activity, I believe pioneered by another well known fast food restaurant chain...
Very tasty food !
Went to Wagamamas on Middlebrook near Bolton for the first time . Staff very friendly and helpful with the menu .Lots of choice and three of us who went all chose differently. The food is served as soon as it is ready at it's freshest which could mean your main arrives before your starter but it still works ok . One of us regretted choosing a main dish with chilli oil as it made the dish too hot to enjoy properly but the remaining two of us really enjoyed the taste experience of the various choices we made. Really enjoyed it - Thank you
Great night
Service was great staff were very friendly and helpful, would go back again we had Abby and Danielle serve us they were great , this was at the Basildon branch

Went to Wagamama in PUTNEY HIGH ST the other week had a pad Thai and ordered a cocktail.
The chicken in pad Thai was awful it was a dark colour and looked like the cheapest of chicken which I didn’t finish as it was not nice. I also had a drink which had no alcohol at all it was like squash and £9.50
Very very disappointed
Awfull experience at Wimbledon
Wimbledon used to be okay, but last time the service was slow and the food took too long to arrive. There was a problem with one of the dishes. The noodles and the vegetables were burned. After asking for a replacement, I found a hair on the next dish. Are these coincidences?
The waiter was helpful and apologetic, and promised the manager would come to the table, but he never did. I won't return again.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at Wagamama
This review is for wagamama great marlborough street branch (London, UK). I had an extremely disappointing experience at Wagamama, and the manager's (JACK was the manager at that time ) rude behavior was the worst part. Instead of being welcoming, the manager was outright dismissive and disrespectful, not just to us but also to two delivery drivers waiting for orders. When I politely asked about our food, the manager snapped at us like we were a bother. Meanwhile, the way they treated the drivers was completely unacceptable—speaking to them in an unprofessional and condescending tone. It created a really tense, uncomfortable atmosphere. This is not the level of service I expect from Wagamama, and I won't be returning if this is how customers and others are treated. I also added photo of the staff and manager.

Our server Aid was lovely. Helped us with the menu, gave us great recommendations and provided excellent customer experience. Nice to see someone in customer service role that do such a good job. Very pleasant and friendly.
Disgusting Wagamama @Forest Hill delivery kitchen!
Disgusting Wagamama @Forest Hill delivery kitchen, shocking crispy mushrooms tiny portion. I complained but they do not care so maybe they will about this review?! Never again I’ll order from Wagamama!
Overhyped.
Food was just okay. Asked for no veg in anything and there was onions in the side which were clearly mixed in- wouldnt have been an issue if we were told about it so we didn’t waste money on something we couldn’t eat. Waited over half an hour for food too.
Tasteless bland flavours can’t see the hype
Tasteless bland flavours I really don’t see the hype about it. Seriously over rated for the price. Vegan portions are not as generous. My greens side consisted of 2 slim broccoli stalks, 6 slender green beans & 4 small mange toute that sat there getting cold while waiting 20 mins for my main. Waitresses should not be taking orders from 11 years olds then bringing them the wrong dish after accusing the child of mispronunciation. They should be cross checking orders by the parent.
Wagamama has the dodgy practice of not…
Wagamama has the dodgy practice of not including VAT on menu "prices" where it quotes figures without a "£". This means 20% is added onto the bill and service is also not included. The Yaki Udon I had was tasty but expensive for what it was. Service was absent despite the Ealing restaurant being at most 1/4 full. The waiters appeared more interested in chatting amoung themselves near the kitchen than working.
Avoid! Kaizen schmaizen.
As a fathers day treat I was taken to Wagamama's southend on- sea, by my wife and two children.
I was looking forward to it having been a fan of Alan Yau's WC1 branch in the 1990's.
For starters we ordered Beef fillet crispy otsumami, duck gyoza and the Tama squid.
The beef fillet otsumami was a very sad offering. Tiny amounts of fillet beef so thinly sliced they were almost transparent on top of un seasoned pea puree placed on a rectangle of 1.5cm x 2.5 cm crispy fried rice. Pea puree is quite bland but it was the predominant flavour. Mean and tasteless.
The duck gyoza had little filling, little taste and could have come from a frozen food supermarket.
The Tama squid contained miniscule quantities of squid tasted of the oil they were cooked in.
It gets worse... my wife ordered a beef brisket ramen, again dreadfully mean quantities of beef in what can only be described as a packet stock.
My daughter odered the Pad Thai with chicken and prawn. Yes, you guessed it very stingy amounts of the key ingredients.
What made it worse was the over enthusiastic use of the wrong herbs predominantly mint. This made it almost inedible. It resembled a wet sloppy mess you would expect to see in the plongeurs bucket.
My son a fussy eater had the kids meal. A dried piece of crumbed chicken, white rice shredded carrot and some sweetcorn. Katsu curry sauce on the side, pitiful.
I opted for the duck donburi. It arrived garnished with burnt onions and a burnt fried egg, both cardinal sins. The mean theme continued with so little duck it was indistinguishable from the other 'stuff'. It might of been duck but on the other hand it could have been the sweepings off of the cooker hob. My wife and I washed this down with small cups of green tea.
My children had the 'refreshing fruit juice' which was tropical juice from a carton mixed with sparkling water.
For desert they ordered banana katsu, yes you guessed it, an oily mean portion, and a slice of smoked caramel cake, obviously made on an industrial estate somewhere. My 10yr old son still enjoyed it.
As a south east asian retired head chef I am not quick to criticise. I know how hard it is to please all of the people all of the time. But this was truly abysmal.
You can almost excuse small portions if the quality is high. The cooking was incompetent.
It had obviously come from head office to treat all key ingredients like they were white truffle from Alba.
Wagamama bears no resemblance to the days of Alan Yau.
As for Kaizen the Japanese philosophy.
Having worked with some of the worlds largest Japanese corporations,
I see no evidence that they understand the concept or apply it to their business model.
Kaizen in the real world translates as continuous
improvement.
Not just a trendy 'buzz' word.
It is typical of investment houses managing businesses they know nothing about but applying a formula to maximise a short term return regardless of the consequences.
True contempt for the customer.
It won't be long before the brand is sold again.
We left £104.00 lighter never to return.
Worse company ever!
Worse company ever!! No customer service, plastic found in my rice bowl the first time, complained and heard nothing back, even sent pictures because it obviously came from the packaging, gave them a second chance and same thing happened but with hair!! Complained again and heard nothing! I would never go again and advise anyone to do the same… customer service is key in any business and I’m afraid this business has none!!
