I find the site easy to use. They have a good choice of properties and not overpriced. I love the One Key Cash scheme. I got £60 off a long weekend which I earned booking a two week holiday before. Perfect.

Very easy to navigate to booking process

Easy booking

You cancelled our booking, then i see the same property on sykes for £300 more for the same dates.
Why was it cancelled?

Easy to see all the amenities for each property and to see where they are. Easy booking process too and confirmation received very quickly.

I was shown a screen stating that I would not be charged yet, but then was charged the full amount immediately. There was no point where I was told I would be billed immediately. I checked the terms and conditions, which said that the payment may be pre-authorised with my bank, but when I confirmed the transaction, the entire amount was taken. I also could find nowhere in the property details that indicated the payment schedule.
I called the Vrbo help line, which was answered by what was clearly an AI voice. I was just told that the owners must have changed their payment schedule to a single payment rather than payment in stages.
We have now had to hurriedly transfer money from savings so that we didn’t go over the limit on our credit card.
The whole experience was very stressful, and I would be reluctant to book a holiday with Vrbo again. I would have cancelled, but I don’t want to let down the other members of my party.
This is the worst holiday booking experience I have ever had.

Booked accommodation only to be told by host that its unavailable on these dates, very disappointed ☹️

Straight forward to do but I did not like the fact that on the page it said 'nothing to pay today' but as soon as I hit the 'book now' button I had money to pay. Not very honest.

Very easy to use

Once we had decided on the property, it was so quick and easy to book, and receive confirmation. The payment requirements were clearly displayed. Three days of searching for a property, five minutes to book.

It was fast and easy to book an apartment. I booked online and did not need customer service.

Generally a pretty good site. One gripe that I have is that when booking accommodation well in advance (approx 20 weeks), I am not used to having to pay for the stay in full now. I had thought that I was making a reservation but was surprised when my card was charged for the full stay now.

Easy, quick, efficient

Vrbo is accessible to actually talk to a real person for questions. And they allow me to send a message to the owner. Rented one time from Airbnb and couldn’t contact anyone let alone the owner with my questions. I never rented from them again. Have rented from Vrbo every year for past 10 years. 👍

My requested dates were accepted and payment took.then I got a message saying I couldn’t book the dates . When I went back on the site it would still let me book the dates. If the date are not available then the payment should not be taken

I'd been looking for weeks and finally found the perfect place to only book it and then cancel straight away as the host was staying the same week and not updated the calender

Plenty of property choices. Helpful to contact owners with enquiries. Good payment and refund schedules.
