I have never used a more useless website in my life. You try to log in and it says you don’t have an account, you try to set up an account and it says you haven’t activated your account, you try to activate the account and it says you don’t have an account. It’s impossible. The number of website errors I’ve received to simply book an appointment is ridiculous. I wish I wasn’t forced to use this platform.

Don’t bother booking as they keep you waiting 2 hours! Shocking unacceptable service and then they charge you!

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by VFS Global. The appointment system is highly inefficient, with waiting times extending up to seven months, which is unacceptable for applicants who require timely processing.

In addition, the website appears to have persistent technical issues. Despite registering multiple times, I have been unable to log in, which has caused significant inconvenience and delays in managing my application.

Furthermore, the fee structure raises serious concerns. Applicants are charged for basic services such as receiving email and SMS updates, as well as additional fees for early passport collection. These charges feel excessive and unjustified, especially considering the poor quality of service provided.

Overall, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing, this system of getting European visa need to be abolish

I wouldnt even give 1 star if I could..
Applied for my dutch passport in Dec 2025 in Edinburgh. Told I could track the progress on their website. NOPE! Doesn't work. January 26 comes around, nothing. I send an email, no response. Feb comes, nothing again, send an email, no response. March then comes around and again NOTHING. I then get an email from dutch consulate stating they sent a letter in Jan regarding my application but i never received this.
VFS are a complete joke. Good luck trying to speak to someone about anything! You get told to send an email to the email address they dont bother replying to. They need scrapped.

The document upload is so bad that I am inclined to believe it is intentional so you are forced to buy their $100 'staff upload service'.

UKVI - if you are listening: please for the love of god dont renew the next VFS contract and outsource to another service provider.

So early this year I went to apply for a visa at the vfs office. On my arrival I had all the documents required for my travel.. only that I knew what I was doing..the organization was sponsoring my travel and I had a letter plus attached bank statement for both the organization. Do you know the guy started telling me that they only accept payslips or my personal bank statements he said it was not necessary. Kwani huku nje mnahire Akina nani??? I guess alicram requirements. I had to insist because I know. I had so much pity on those who don't have an idea

We had an exceptional experience with VFS Global Washington DC office. They went above and beyond with helping us get our documents in order, taking photo onsite and with answering all our queries. Thank you VFS Global for your assistance. Great customer service.

They are idiots in formals. My passport renewal that itself in US is not completed and its their mistake only. Their website sucks it says the same message from last 8 weeks that its under process but no update by far from VFS team and when you call them in US they charge $2.5 per minute to talk and customer representative is horrible in talking seems they intentionally want you to stay in call so they can charge you more.

Terrible service. I’ve been trying to create and account for days to book Italian visas. The system is not allowing me to create an account, tells me I’ve had too many attempts, creates a Dutch account or simply automatically verifies me as human leading to issues.

Our visa experience was disappointing. We applied on 15 Feb, attended our appointment on 27 March, but received the passport only on the day our trip was to begin (April 7), forcing us to cancel and lose non-refundable expenses. When we collected the passport on April 20, the visa was valid for just 15 days, expiring May 6, 2026, making it impossible to reschedule. This may deter us from future trips to Switzerland. We hope VFS Global addresses these concerns and improves their process.

Everything is wrong with this company. Couldn't book an appointment for a week, then had to wait for 3 weeks. Stood in the queue, only went in at the booked time to find out you were given a ticket and told where to go.
The waiting area was far to small. Hot because so many people waiting, not enough chairs. Too many people booked for the same time slot. Courier price highly inflated, use Royal Mail. Website keeps crashing so you can't track. What a greedy, unprofessional company.

Worst company ever.
We have been trying to book an appointment from Russia, but the available slots appear to be taken by bots and intermediaries. At the final stage, we are unable to confirm the booking, as the system repeatedly returns a “429: Failed to get response” error.

Their customer service is equally poor. They continue to send automated replies, resulting in a stream of useless emails. Issues are not resolved; instead, tickets are simply closed with a claim that the problem has been fixed.

Can i give it no star, like the highest disappointment for visa application. The customers are already frustrated with the papers and documents and website has it taken upon itself to give the customer a hard time, with all its glitches and low user friendly experience.

Gurpreet Kaur was very helpful during my appointment at VFS Hounslow today! There was an issue with my application form and she guided me on how to resolve it there and then.

Malheureusement la note "0" n'existe pas! J'ai déposé ma demande de visa pour le Canada, j'ai payé tous les frais, je n'ai jamais eu de retour. Je me suis déplacée jusqu'à Paris, presque 75€ dans les transports, tout ce qu'ils ont eu à me dire c'est d'attendre. Cela fait plus de 2 ans, j'attends toujours... Même pas de réponse négative, rien!!!! SERVICE MÉDIOCRE, À FUIRE....

I would like to share some positive feedback about Elsie at the VFS Global Hounslow branch.

I recently attended a passport renewal appointment, and Elsie provided excellent support from start to finish. Elsie was kind, patient, and reassuring throughout the process. She took the time to guide me through the missing information in my application and helped me understand exactly what was needed.

I was worried that my application might not go through and that I would need to come back for another appointment, which would have been very inconvenient. Elsie handled everything calmly and professionally, and thanks to Elsie’s support, I was able to complete the application successfully during the same visit.

I am very grateful for Elsie’s help. Elsie’s patience, professionalism, and kindness made a stressful situation much easier, and she made a real difference to my experience.

She is a real credit to your team.
