I researched thoroughly as I wasn’t going to take any chances with my eyes. I chose wisely! The whole process from start to finish was superb. The surgical team were brilliant and reassuring, it was really easy and stress free. I had very high shortsightedness and now have 20:20 vision and close up vision beyond expectations I can read iPhone texts from over arms lengths…wow!

The rating actually says it all. Great surgeon, and a nice guy. The results of my cataract surgeries exceeded expectations.

I had Bilateral Refractive Lens Exchange with monofocal Lenses.a few weeks ago with Mr Vincenzo Maurino.
The initial consultation with Mr Maurino was informative and clear and he
has been very patient with my questions before and after surgery.
I was nervous before the actual surgery but Mr Maurino and his team in the theatre were reassuring and calming and the procedure was excellent.
The optometrist, Mr Satvir Hansi was extremely professional and pleasant as were the practice managers.
I would definitely recommend Mr Maurino - my surgery has been life changing!

Thank you so much Mr Maurino and team. I came to Mr Maurino's practice unsure of the process and which procedure would be best - LASIK vs No Touch Trans PRK. Mr Maurino took the time during the initial consultation and via several follow up calls / emails to explain my options in detail in a really helpful, straightforward and comprehensive way. He gave his recommendation based on my particular case (which turned out to be Trans PRK) and ensured I had all the information and answers to my (numerous!) questions before I went ahead and came back for the actual surgery. I could not recommend Mr Maurino enough for the care and attention he gave and the time he took at each stage - a great mix of professionalism and realism, whilst also being incredibly understanding and considerate.
The initially uncomfortable recovery during the first week post surgery is more than worth it for the outcome and the impact it has on your day-to-day life. Thank you again.

I went to see Dr Maurino last year about complications from LASEK eye surgery provided at another clinic. I asked if there was anything that could be done about any of the complications. He responded by telling me that I had had a very simple procedure and went into a defence of laser eye surgery in general, even though I had never brought up the wider topic, only my own issues. I felt he slightly belittled the complications (despite the horrible impact they have had on me) and concluded by saying that they're the fault of those who sign up for surgery. That may be true but I felt worse afterwards!

I highly recommend Mr Maurino and his great team at Moorfields. I was looked after incredibly well during my two cataract procedures and my vision is the best it has ever been in my entire life.

I used to be highly myopic (-10/-8.5) and am now able to navigate through 80% of my day without any glasses at all with mono vision (one eye for distance/one for close up) - and for long sessions at the computer I use glasses to support a more restful vision experience.

Mr Maurino is a lovely doctor who successfully combines his professional excellence with equal measures of kindness, calm and confidence. He is the very definition of “a pair of safe hands” - which is exactly what you hope for when going rather nervously into an eye operation.

The procedures themselves were quick and completely painless - during and after. I went for the eye drops and light sedative option and felt and saw nothing but a lot of pretty colours and lights. A day later I was seeing the world perfectly clear - just amazing. Thank you Mr Maurino!

I had the blended vision treatment and it means I don't have to wear glasses for distance or reading. It has helped me in my job and makes sport and exercise so much easier. A little bit of dryness when the air is very dry but a couple of eye drops sort that out. Mr Maurino really knows his stuff and his team are very thorough. You can trust them as they seem to be the best around.

Operation using femtolasik was a complete success.

The result from my eye correction was excellent. The practice gave me clear recommendations and explained the pros and cons. The procedure itself was a bit uncomfortable as expected but was over quickly and I felt safe throughout. After 3 months I was given the all clear and now can to about my life with significantly improved long distance vision.

i had to have cataract surgery on both eyes, this was carried out on two separate days which was my decision.
