Having read lots of very positive reviews and researched the Refractive Lens Exchange procedure, I decided to have the operation performed by Mr Maurino. From the first consultation to the post operative consultation I was treated with kindness and professionalism by all of the team . I was nervous on the day of the operation but was welcomed warmly by the clinic team. The whole procedure was quite quick even though I had both eyes done together.
Definitely worth taking a support person with you as your vision will be blurry for a few hours afterwards.
The local anaesthetic applied to your eyes makes the procedure pain free and recovery was likewise.

The results were what I expected with no complications, although I was a bit sensitive to bright light the following day but this passed within two days.

Overall ,I cannot recommend highly enough Mr Maurino and his team and I'm highly satisfied in the improvement in my sight and with the care I have received.

A very good experience all round, felt supported all the way.

Dr. Vincenzo Maurino is very professional, excellent surgeon and all his team also great customer service experience.
My vision prior to the surgery was very poor and now I can clearly see everything without the need of glasses (not even the reading ones), this really changed my life!
I can now enjoy walks in the nature and looking at the birds, reading, photography,.. it is really a miracle!

My complete experience with Vincenzo Maurino’s practice was professional, calm and reassuring. I had refractive lens exchange surgery in both eyes. The operation is an outstanding success. I feel very privileged to have had my myopic sight corrected by Mr Maurino, a brilliant surgeon.

Th entire staff was amazing. They were all very caring and explained everything in great detail. I felt really comfortable going into the operation. They made sure that I did not feel any pain.

Mr Maurino also took the time to go over things with me before the operation. The procedure was rather short and although I was conscious I did not feel or see anything which was the way I preferred it to be.

] I consulted Mr Maurino about laser eye surgery. Due to complications with the cornea in one of my eyes being flat, he advised that cataract implants might be a better and less risky solution in my case. The plan (which will be completed when I have the other eye done) is to give me bifocal vision so I can see long distances but also read easily. He operated on the first eye in Autumn 2021.

The surgery has changed my life. I am much happier. By going to Moorfields Private I have had access to deep world leading expertise, and to trial my new vision Mr Maurino's colleagues fitted me with contract lenses for a short time .

I have found the experience to be extremely professional.there is a sense that one is in the best eye hospital in the world.

One quality I would single out for praise in Mr Maurino is the clear, patient, and factual way in which he advises about the risks of surgery. There is a respect for the questions being asked (quite a lot in my case!) , and I have never felt any pressure at all to bring the conversation to a premature end. I went into the surgery feeling very well and clearly advised on the risk and implications and was able to make my own choices.

After 1 year my vision is still perfect and I had no issue at all throughout the year. I never experimented secondary effects so far.

I am very pleased with the service I received at Moorfield. From my initial consultation with Mr Marino to the eye surgery and post op appointment. I had cataract surgery in March 22 on both eyes, carried out by Mr Maurino. I opted for multifocal IOLs. What a joy it was, to throw out my contact lenses and discard my specs! I was a little nervous about surgery, but felt confident that I was in excellent hands with Mr Maurino and his team. Everything was clearly explained, and all went smoothly. I would definitely recommend Mr Maurino to anyone needing a cataract operation.

I recently had bilateral ICL surgery to treat a high myopia at Moorfields with Mr Maurino. I was very nervous about the procedure but it was extremely fast, completely painless and the recovery was very quick. Mr Maurino and the Moorfields team were excellent. I am very happy with the result.
