Very quick and painless procedure by Mr Maurino corrected my eyesight to near perfect without any complications.Traetment in the Moorfiled Hospital and follow up in the private clinic were quick and efficient. I had laser PRK surgery with Mr Maurino in 2020 in order to correct my high myopia and astigmatism. I am delighted with the results of my surgery, achieving better than 6/6 vision within a few months. The surgery was painless and over in a flash and the recovery reasonably quick - I was back at work within a few days.

Mr Maurino, his team and the wider Moorfields staff operate to the highest professional standards whilst maintaining a friendly and inviting atmosphere for their patients. I never felt rushed in my appointments and all my queries and concerns were addressed fully, regardless of how long it took.

I had cataract surgery on a very dry eye, the vision of which had become extremely cloudy.

My initial consultation was very thorough, and Dr Maurino was very clear in explaining to me the procedure he would carry out. He also asked if I wished to favour my distance vision or reading vision. I was unaware that there was such a choice. We also discussed how to take care of the eye, taking into account the fact that this eye was very dry and lacked protection, due to childhood eye surgery. Dr Maurino was very positive about the outcome.

The actual operation was performed under sedation, and was painless and stress free. Dr Maurino came to speak to me before the operation, and again afterwards, and was able to reassure me that all had gone well.

I am absolutely delighted with the result. I can now see clearly without glasses for the first time in my life. I had been wearing glasses from about the age of seven.

I had a post op check up three weeks later. Both my eyes were thoroughly checked and all was well. As discussed I will need to get reading glasses. I am currently using over the counter 2.5 prescription, but will go to an optician to get proper glasses in another couple of weeks.

All in all it was a very pleasant experience. Can I add I even got a delicious light snack afterwards!

I had been wearing glasses since I was 4 years old. I have spoken to a number of people who have had eye correction and they all said it was "life changing". I'm pleased to say that the results were as good as they could have been and would not hesitate to recommend having LASIK Eye Surgery.

It was a smooth experience. I had my first visit, followed by the operation, the next day follow-up, and the 3-months follow-up, when I was fully discharged. All information was provided to me clearly. The operation was quick and painless, as the doctor said. I was very shortsighted (-6.00 and -5.00), while now I can see well, I'm very happy. Worth the money.

Mr Maurino was excellent and Im very pleased with the results of my surgery; my vision is perfect and eyes are comfortable.
My only criticism would be that outpatient appointments can involve a lot of waiting to be seen, perhaps that part could be better organised to avoid such long waits.

I found Mr Maurino after making extensive enquiries of friends and friends of friends.
Everyone needs good eyes, I am an artist, a painter.
I had eye surgery on the NHS last year and knew that the surgery would cause me to have cataracts. I had worn glasses for many years and even with a new prescription I was struggling.
Mr Maurino performed bilateral sequential cataract surgery with Vivity EDoF implants. In other words, I had new lenses put into my eyes. Apart from the cataracts, my prescription was for long and short sight and an astigmatism. I no longer need to wear glasses at all.
I struggle a little to read small writing in poor light but apart from that it is incredible!
Prior to the surgery I had extensive examination of my eyes by him and his team, who are charming. Mr Maurino explained everything clearly and told me the pros and cons, explained what could go wrong in a small percentage of cases. He thought that after surgery I might need glasses for reading, I don't. I certainly don't need them for painting. The eyes are still settling down after the surgery and so far so good.
If there is a con it would be the cost, it was very expensive for me, of course not so for everyone but I would rather put my eyes in the hands of a skilled expert and pay properly than opt for a bargain - it would never be worth it.
I hope that I won't have to wear glasses again and that is a huge future saving and I can wear any sunglasses I like instead of an elderly prescription pair.
My world has been made incredibly bright.

Thank you to Mr Maurino and his brilliant team again. The vision in my right eye suddenly became very blurry and cloudy which was extremely worrying. (I had cataract surgery previously with multi focal IOLs which have been amazing) I phoned Ana who was so reassuring, and an appointment was made. Mr Maurino was so calming and professional, quickly diagnosing my problem which he explained clearly. I needed a YAG capsulotomy which he was able to perform immediately. I found the procedure to be completely painless and fascinating!
My vision was restored immediately and I felt like dancing as I left the clinic having been so anxious!
