The salesman, Shane Gough, obviously has a job to do which he carried out in a very professional, yet friendly manner from start to finish. As a previous lapsed customer, Shane helped restore my faith in the Leeds VW branch. I would certainly recommend the branch to friends & family. Well done!

The car was transferred to Leeds and it was an easy process. Great communication and a great car buying experience. I part exchanged my car and was offered a good offer. Lovely to meet the manager she introduce herself and thank me for the purchase. Before i left Shane showed me all the features of the car. Thanks again for a lovely relaxed experience for buying my car, I was given lots of information allowing me to make my options. I recently visited VW at Elland road. I was looking to trade in a rarely used second car for a small first car as my eldest is taking driving lessons. The first time I visited I was lucky enough to be introduced to Ben, my sales contact. Ben was genuine, helpful, honest and we had a good chat about my requirements. We couldn’t come to an agreement and left it at that. No pushy sales or drama.

After seeing another car on auto trader and contacting Ben we had another sit down and thanks to Bens persistence and ability to broker a deal all parties are happy with; my eldest now has a new car.

Ben was also kind enough to help with the surprise presenting of the car. First class service all round.

Karolina has been amazing throughout the process of purchasing a new vehicle. She has done a great job of explaining the cost, the vehicle specifications and the delivery date.

Nothing has been too much for her and her client care skills are of the highest level. I have had a slight issue with the camera since purchase and she has called me and kept me updated as to the process of getting it looked into. Nothing is to much for her when dealing with a customer and she is a credit to Vertu.

I would never hesitate in recommending her to others as she is warm, friendly and clearly cares about her job and most importantly the customer.

New Experience- 05/02/26 - 22 times the emergency brake assist has activated.

The emergency brake assist activated again. No obstructions, no hazards and no third party involvement.

I was travelling at approximately 15mph entering a car park and it just activated all of a sudden.

Again, clear evidence that the car is faulty, dangerous and unsafe and not fit for purpose.

This is TWENTY-TWO times now since March 2025.

The fault doesn’t show on inspection so it will continue to happen.

The car is littered with faults and there are multiple emergency recalls on the VW ID range because their software / hardware systems are not fit for purpose.

Vertu Motors refuse to help and take any responsibility to end my lease and take the car off the road. The lease was organised and arranged through their Leeds VW branch, so they have a responsibility to help me. Even two of their staff have told me the there are a lot of faults with the VW ID range. They have been multiple emergency recalls for the VW ID cars.

They are happy for me to continue to drive a car that has previously caused me and my son injury, multiple times. They said the EBA activating for no reason is normal and I just have to put up with it for another 3 years!

I’m now having to submit them a letter of action before seeking legal action as they have mis-leased me a car that is not fit for purpose and is not of a good standard of quality and they are being negligent.

Again, I have had no contact with them after my previous review when I was told their management team would contact me.

Again, this is causing me severe stress and anxiety. I’m being ignored and treated as a liar. It has already caused me and my son injuries. They do NOT care about their customers and have fallen far short of their customer policies.

Darren made buying a car easy and no nonsense, really appreciated the approach, and time spent supporting me to make the right decision on a car that suits me. Was the best, easy going car purchasing experience i have had.
