We were looking for a self loading service. Ralph was very helpful with the preparations and Dave who arrived broadly on time as we were in a remote Dales location, was very helpful. I had not previously experienced having to pay an up front fee and then an hourly rate, but the process worked very well. I thoroughly recommend them.

Great company, quickly responded to my request with a very competitive quote. Discussion between us was clear and helpful. On the day they arrived on time and carried out the removal of my four storey property in a heatwave without complaints. I lived on on a busy city centre street with tourists always in your way but they loaded the van with care and professionalism, as well as being friendly and humourous. As the heat got worse they continued with the job and unloading was equally excellent at the other end. They even built my furniture for me as well!

Two guys showed up on time to collect a corner sofa we had bought second hand. The previous owner texted us ten minutes later to say it was on its way. They arrived in our street, moved a sofa from one house to another a few doors away , put the new sofa in and moved another sofa out onto the driveway for the council to collect. All done well within the hour. Excellent service.

this is the second time I've used Van Man for a house move. Both times went smoothly with no issues and a lot of care and attention by the lads.
Arrived on time, did all the lifting and carrying with ease and on top of everything, the cost was highly competitive.

Fantastic from start to finish. We were moving from York to Devon, so it was a two-day job. They came round first so we could meet them, and at that time offered us a load of large strong boxes which were extremely useful. On the day they were punctual, really friendly and worked at a near-run from the moment they arrived for both loading and unloading. No hidden costs, all brilliant. Would absolutely use them again and recommend to anyone moving in and around York.

Not a huge amount to move but pick up and delivery times were important as well as care of some valuable and historical items. Ralph was excellent and very conscientious on ensuring items were safely loaded and secure.

Excellent service. They charge by the hour, so I expected them to be a bit laid back. I could not have been more wrong. The van was packed up, driven across York and unloaded to a second floor flat in less than 2 hours. Such friendly chaps too, no complaints or fuss just a brilliant service.

Had them 3 times now for various moving issues. Been wonderful on each occasion. This latest was only a small job but they did great and helped loads for my situation. Very happy with the outcome and would recommend.
