I don't want to even leave a one start rating but unfortunatley you have to give at least one star to leave a review. This company is nothing short of bullies, once you're into a contract with them its near impossible to get out and they make excuse after excuse. I have been trying to leave Utilita for 3 years but they still keep billing me even though i'm now officialy out of contract which means i'm paying extortionate monthly bills, but they keep sending me emails saying that in order to get my bills reduced I need to get in another contract with them!!! I want out!!! I don't want another contract with them, they are robbers and bullies.

What awful customer service !! The app stop working so rang for help in sorting it out first I tried the chat bot what a waste of time over an hour later I’m no further forward , I’ve phone them about 6 times and got no help ! They all tell me the same thing that o need to delete the app and reinstall , done that ! Or how about a new passcode ?? How when the app isn’t working ?? I’ve sent them screen shots of what the apps doing to,We will call you back a week later after ringing them I’m told they have tried lies!! And I’d said I could only be called at 5.30 on Saturday lies again I said 5.30 any day !!
Then to add insult to injury enquiring if I know how to use the app , if I’m able to walk to the meter !! If I’m mentally competent !! Or better still buy a new phone or tablet as my phone must not support there app , it’s an iPhone 13 I think it’s suitable!

I have a pay as you go meter for gas and electric.
I want some account information. I tried calling them with no luck. I finally managed to have a chat but you can only chat for just a couple of pre questions and at no point a live agent can be engaged. The chat option does not provide me the information I need and there is no way to talk to an agent on live chat.
I then again on a call. while I am writing, I am on phone over 24 minutes and the music is still going with no timeline how long I will have to wait to speak to someone to resolve my issue or to get my query answered.
I inherited the Utilita service but I would not recommend it to anyone instead change it ASAP to avoid wasting your time for high cost services.
Gas meter stopped communicating with…
Gas meter stopped communicating with the meter two years ago. Numerous calls and still the meter is not working. So now I have to top up on the app and get an email sent with a code to type into the meter manually. The smart meter is not communicating and they even admitted that. I opened a complaint and they told me they don’t have any engineers in Scotland. Going to move to some other provider.

Previous to what happened to my home being invaded by a mob that are sub contracted from utilita ( so utilita are not responsible ) the said person can enter your home with no id, no warrant, no police, and best of all no electrical engineers to find out if said meter is faulty or being tampered with ( has no qualifications to do this operation on a meter).

I was hundreds of miles from my home with my son on a birthday trip for me , my sons girlfriend who was at my house when this happened let her in as she knew an electrician was coming that week

Trying to rip me off
So my pay as you go meter broke last year, i had a new meter put in but it was a credit meter, I have asked numerous times for a pay as you go meter to be put back in but because the electric meter i have wouldn't connect to my gas meter. I have been backwards and forwards trying to get this sorted, now utilita are trying to say I owe over £7000 since 2019, how does that work when I've been on pay as you go all the time up until last year when they put me on a credit meter without my consent

There should be an option for no stars because this company is absolutely shocking I'm in £8 into my emergency credit yet they've turned my electric of I'm down to £16 in my meter dept yet it's saying I'm not eligible for a power up the phone lines are useless the live chat is useless I'm getting no where I've got children there's no support whatsoever this is disgusting.

Expected a call from utilita to see if I had received my monthly paper bill. Never happened again.
Then receive same day a message IN RED pay outstanding bill immediately. So utilita are doing bullying tactics. As every month I will pay my bill when I receive the paper form so I can check it. NO I won't be paying for a late payment charge as its not my error. I am sick to the back teeth of false promises oh it won't happen again I can only apologise. NOT GOOD ENOUGH NOW. If anyone is thinking of swapping their energy to utilita DONT !!!!. Nothing but agro and false promises every month. So when I receive my paper bill I will pay it. NOT BEFORE and it's late now again. Oh and it's not the post offices faltat all. See you in court if I have to.

Purchased 2 pairs of shoes on the 5th of this month and have heard nothing back from them . Email them on numerous occasions but still haven't got nothing back. Trustpilot was on their website when I purchased so taught they would be legitimate

I have tried phoning this company, using their livechat and emailing them over the last 2 months and have not had any kind of answer. They must be the worst company I have ever had to deal with, I'm at my wit's end with them. They deserve zero stars.
Evil customer service
Lost my electric card so I called them to top up as I’ve never been shown how to do it online and I struggle a bit. I didn’t wanna make a mistake so I called them took 2 hours to answer the phone. They took the money off me code didn’t work can’t top up call them back been on hold for another three hours and nobody is answering so I ended the call and phoned them back on a different number made out. I was a new customer ringing them and using the right direct lines to be a new customer and they answered in two minutes. I explained to the lady on the phone, what the hell is going on? She put me on hold and I’ve been on hold for two more hours. That is seven hours a whole entire day and they still haven’t answered the phone and I don’t believe they’re going to this is beyond evil and disgusting and I will no longer be a customer to that shit Services they are evil.
Incompetent
The most incompetent, unhelpful, useless company I may have ever dealt with. For no reason the app didn’t accept my payment even after I was told it went on and I went away and came back to my electric having been off for nearly a week and 2 fridge and freezers worth of food, wasted. This has happened TWICE because even with my notifications on, the app just didn’t tell me my electricity was running low. No one on the phone, emails or even complaints line cares or even pretends to. On the phone they pretend they can’t hear you so they can hang up if it’s within an hour of their closing time. I requested my complaint only be dealt with via email so I can keep a paper trail and they rang me back to back during the day when I was at work even after I said I wasn’t available to speak. I wouldn’t recommend Utilita to ANYONE even if they paid me. The only decent and English person I spoke to was when I signed up. Useless ever since. Incompetent is an understatement.

am writing to formally here complain about the poor service we have received regarding the installation of our prepayment meter.
We have been trying for several months to have someone come and complete the installation. Although an appointment was scheduled, the technician cancelled at the last minute, and since then we have made multiple attempts to reschedule — all without success.
Adding to our frustration, we have been receiving confusing and incorrect invoices, charging high amounts even though no one is residing in the property.
This situation is unacceptable. We urgently need a technician to attend and install the prepayment meter within days, not weeks or months — as we have already been waiting far too long.
Please treat this matter as urgent and get back to us with a confirmed date as soon as possible.
