I bought a $100 gift card for a friend…
I bought a $100 gift card for a friend online last Christmas. Neither her nor I got a confirmation email about it, but they did charge my credit card. I've messaged support but not heard back yet. I don't need a refund, just a gift card code for my friend. Once this is resolved, I will happily change my stars.
EDIT: This has resolved quickly and with no hassle.

We had difficulty booking a sitter
We had difficulty booking a sitter. Emailed them within 30 days as per their refund policy for a refund because we found their services to be lacking. Then we're told because we attempted to make contact with sitters to try to book them that we voided our ability for a refund. Scam!! Don't waste your money.

I am very glad and thankfull to work as a babysitter thru Urbansitter. They are such an amazing community. Lots of jobs, lots of nice families, and a very helpful staff. 3 years providing childcare, meeting new people, and learning too much about diferents cultures are making my days joyfull and permiting me criate my own list of favorite families to work with, always based on trust and good care. Sometimes unforeseen situation may happens, but it has been faced and fastly solved by reliable staff. Strongly recommend Urbansitter.

Illegal platform that cares about parents more than caregivers
I had more than 100 all 5 stars reviews!
Parents who posted for $6/hr which is way below the hourly rate in both NJ and NYC, even those who reaches me out for $20/hr knowing that my rate started at $25/hr were declined! They were mad because I did not want to take their low ball rates and they reported me to UrbanSitter who decided to remove me permanently from their website!
This is a nightmare and it’s unfortunate that because of greedy parents great caregivers like me and others are being rejected. Anyway, it’s UrbanSitter’s lost not mine because I still work for parents whom I have kept their contacts on my phone.
UrbanSitter should be reported to the IRS for letting parents illegally pays caregivers who don’t even bother filing taxes because paying in cash isn’t traceable. I will not recommend this website at all, same for Care.com!!

For parents looking to have regular childcare, this site is great. We always had great caregivers when we used this service.
Unfortunately, the membership fee is quite high for parents that only require occasional care.
We had a situation with over-billing that was resolved incredibly promptly an in a friendly manner. To me, this shows a strong value system for the service.

great site but membership is mistake!
I have gotten WONDERFUL jobs off UrbanSitter. Reliable, friendly families that have remained long term friends and even led to more work! However, the reason for the 3 stars is the fee they are charging. I understand that they are running are business and need to make money, and say that it will “draw in more families” and will be a better experience for all. While that may be true, they shouldn’t charge to do it, especially if they take a chunk of our earnings. I unfortunately have had to switch to other care sites, and know other sitters who have as well. It was great while it lasted and I’m going off of the jobs I had while it was still free, but this membership fee is completely unnecessary. If you’re lucky enough to have money to spare (which is not most nannies I don’t think?) then by all means UrbanSitter is great. But if you’re looking to save money, there are plenty of other free safe options out there.

Either you don’t receive a reply or sitters cancel on short notice. Not one reliable sitter found. Waste of money for registration and time. Just frustrating. Best method is to ask friends and colleagues at work to find a good sitter.

Grateful for UrbanSitter!
I was able to support myself through college with UrbanSitter! I always love the families that I meet on UrbanSitter and have had nothing but great experiences.
It was easy to keep a flexible schedule so that I could make time to study and see my friends while still maintaining an active babysitting schedule. Now that I have a FT job post-graduation, I keep babysitting a couple of times a week after work just to maintain a steady side-income.
I recommend trying UrbanSitter to find babysitting jobs if you're looking for new families!

Hi and finding a job I have not found one but I did found someone who was trying to scam my account and UrbanSitter took care of the issue fast and found the person;so I was happy for that part and hope I can find right family to care for the kids

I used Urbansitter and was finding jobs.
Recently, someone hacked my account and changed the email. I'm uneasy as I had direct deposit set up and have personal information on my profile. I'm unsure of how unsafe it is for someone to have access to my profile right now. Urbansitter does not have a phone number to call and they have NOT responded to my emails. This is the service you get for paying for a membership?

I’m new in here and even if I had some people who reach out to me asking if I’m interested to meet and then they don’t follow up, I believe is just matter of time and what I do really liked is the urbansitter is on top of the scams. I had some weird guy who contacted me and I didn’t reply bc the way he approached was very strange and urbansitter right away, took him away. To me is a peace of mind since just like the parents, we don’t what type of family with can bump into. Thank you so much to to that and reach out to me right away when I e mail you .

A problem solver for a single working parent!
I was worried about the response rate contacting support via email. Because the issue involved the lag time of paying our wonderful babysitter. I was feeling anxious and impatient. It took about 15 hours but how quickly it was resolved made me happy with the customer service. I love the ease of use of the Urbansitter app. I am a single working mom that travels for work and having a user friendly service like Urbansitter has relieved a lot of my stress. Thank you!

Urbansitter is Phenomenal!
I have had a phenomenal experience with Urbansitter. The customer service was exceptional and fast whenever I had questions. And I was able to land a really nice gig with a day camp over the summer and during other holiday breaks. I was paid quickly and easily and earned a lot of money working with great people. I am a sitter for urbansitter they use you like a dirty mop if they can't exploit you like me they hid my profile right after I paid a newly implemented "membership fee" for the sitters???? A week later My profile was Hidden even after passing all so called checks!!!!

This has been a very expensive mistake and I suspect a scam of some sort. I posted a job and paid membership fee up front and I have not been able to get a sitter at all. Either they do respond at first and then dont show up or I have no response at all. I want to cancel my membership and get a refund but its impossible to get a response from the support team. Terrible waste of money.
