Fast Delivery and Quality Product
Placing an order with UK Sign Shop was simple. All the information required to make decisions was included on the web site and we did not have to seek additional information directly from the company. What we received was exactly what we expected.
We chose the unfinished slate with straight cut edges and engraved writing with a white finish and were very happy with the result.
All the fixings required were included and it was very easy to fix with a drill and screwdriver.
We found 1 or2 very minor blemished on the slate but they were difficult to see close up. As normal viewing will be from a distance they will generally be invisible. The company does warn in the literature about this as slate is a natural product, and we found nothing of concern in this regard.
All in all we are very happy with the final product and we found the price to be reasonable.

We’re delighted to hear that you found our website helpful and that your sign was exactly what you expected.
It’s wonderful to hear that you’re so pleased with the slate, engraving and finish, and that the included fixings made installation straightforward. We also appreciate your understanding that slate is a natural material and may have minor natural variations.

Fantastic house sign
We received our sign today and it’s perfect! Just what we wanted. Love the fact that you can create a ‘mock up’ of your sign on the website so you know what you’re getting. We also liked the fact that you could customise the sizing as we wanted it to fit on a narrow piece of wood. It came really well packaged, and looks stunning. From the slate to the engraved writing, it’s all perfect. My only slight concern is that the screws will weather over time as there are no caps supplied, but otherwise very happy.

Inability to make a sign
Paid for a sign for my shop and supplied a high quality logo. They said they needed it in vector format and a pdf file. I converted it to a pdf file and they said it needs to be vector format. They said they would do this for an extra 25 pounds. Avoid this company.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience.
We would just like to clarify that the issue was not with the artwork being supplied as a PDF. A PDF can contain either vector artwork, raster images, or a combination of both, so simply converting an image to PDF does not make the artwork vector.
Your order was placed with our free artwork check, which means our team reviewed the supplied artwork to ensure it was suitable for print. During this check, we identified that the artwork was not fully vector-based and advised that you could either provide suitable vector artwork or use our redraw service for an additional £25.
You subsequently supplied another PDF which was described as vector artwork. However, when our team checked the file, the images contained within it were still raster (pixel-based), meaning the artwork was not fully vector and was therefore still not suitable for the required print process.
The £25 charge was for our team to recreate the artwork, rather than simply convert the PDF file.
We appreciate that the distinction between a PDF and a vector PDF can be confusing, and we always aim to explain any artwork issues and provide customers with the option to supply suitable artwork themselves.
We hope this helps.
Many thanks

Very smart sign and solar light
Very smart sign. I'm glad I went for the white engraved finish it stands out nicely and looks like it will last. The oil coating was also worth the extra pounds. Bought the solar light and so far been very impressed with the quality and performance. The lighting is subtle, perhaps I should have positioned it slightly lower (needs 4 inches min. clearance) Fitting was straight forward. The service and delivery were incredibly quick.

The colour reproduction of the 2 vinyl…
The colour reproduction of the 2 vinyl images I ordered was superb. I gave UK Sign Shop a 14 year old Tiff file to work with and the reproduction was spot on. One gloss white, the other a clear reverse attached version.
Unfortunately the prints got crushed by the delivery agent. However I got in touch with UK Sign Shop, and they sent out undamaged ones, very quickly. The quality of the permanent vinyl was really good.
I'd especially like to thank Nicola and Abbey for their excellent customer service, which was both prompt and polite, despite it being the height of holiday season.
Would highly recommend if quality is important.
