They don’t clearly state “duties” are extra and above what they charge for ‘shipping’ - 3 belts aren’t worth 100$ in shipping and taxes. And don’t blame my president- I’ll buy American! In response to your response, you don’t CLEARLY state there would be any duties owed upon delivery. If you’re assuming just because I’m purchasing out of my country- I should know that, that has not been the case at any other clothing store where I have purchases. Wolf and Badger in fact advertises “Duties included. No surprises at checkout.” And countless others. And regarding the box I supposedly checked- I went back and looked and saw no box. Meaning once again, your claim of ‘clearly stated’ was not very clear. I will appreciate my refund when I receive it- until then I would appreciate to have access to the tracking information on the status of my return to sender request.

We appreciate that you have provided a further response, but we need to clarify the facts for anyone reading this review.
Our website clearly states on each product page:
“PLEASE NOTE: should there be any duties and fees, it is the customers’ responsibility to cover any duties and fees levied by their own country.”
This information is provided before an order is placed.
More importantly, our checkout system will not allow an order to proceed to completion unless the customer actively ticks the checkbox confirming that they have read and agreed to these terms. It is therefore not possible to complete a purchase from our website without accepting this condition.
You say that you went back and could not see the checkbox. Regardless of whether you subsequently noticed it, the checkout system requires that box to be ticked before an order can be completed. We therefore stand by our statement that you accepted these terms when placing your order.
We also want to clarify that the shipping charge you paid to Tyler & Tyler and any import duties or taxes are two separate things. The shipping charge covers the cost of transporting your order from the UK. Any import duties, taxes or other fees subsequently imposed by the destination country are not charges imposed by Tyler & Tyler and are outside our control.
You have referred to Wolf & Badger and other retailers offering “duties included” shipping. Different retailers operate different international shipping policies. We do not claim that our shipping prices include import duties, and our terms explicitly explain this before purchase.
We would also like to address your comment about us “blaming your president”. At no point in our correspondence did we criticise you, your president or the United States. We simply explained that import duties and taxes are determined by the destination country and are not charges imposed by Tyler & Tyler.
When you contacted us, we did not refuse to assist you. We explained the position and confirmed that, once the parcel was returned to us in the UK, we would issue a refund for your order.
It is also worth noting that, outside the UK, the United States is our largest customer market. We have many US customers who purchase from us successfully, and this is the first time we have encountered this particular issue with a US customer. We regularly ship our products to the United States and are very familiar with serving our US customers.
Regarding your request for tracking information, UPS has now provided a separate tracking number for the return-to-sender shipment:
UPS Return Tracking Number: 1Z55A1206792814780
The parcel is currently being returned to us following your instruction to UPS. Once it has been received back at our UK premises, we will process your refund.
You are of course entitled to choose not to purchase from Tyler & Tyler again, but we do not believe it is fair or accurate to state that these charges were not disclosed when the terms were clearly provided before purchase and acceptance of those terms was a mandatory part of completing your order.

Excellent product and assistance to resolve delivery isssue.
I have not received the order yet. UPS is supposed to phone me to get an access code for the delivery address to deliver but they have not phoned me. I can therefore nor rate the service because I have not received the order.
The issue has been resolved satisfactory. The delay was caused by the courier, and it is not a reflection of the product. yler &Tyler assisted greatly to resolve the issue. The product itself is excellent.

Quality products from an independent business
Purchased a leather wallet. Really appreciated the classic design, but with the option of boldness. Although I didn't go for the small enamel badge (the negroni was tempting), I opted for the bold colour design. Outwardly it's classic brown, inside I went for yellow. It looks fantastic and the quality is excellent.
For the quality you get the pricing is good. I'd benchmarked against the offerings from John Lewis and you get a better deal from Tyler & Tyler.
Lots of other quality accessories available. Highly recommended.
