When moving to the Midwest my brother and I thought it would be smarter for us to move our furniture ourselves and take a 1K mile drive together. Let’s say none of that was a great idea! We broke countless things of ours and almost disowned on another haha. After deciding to move back south it was easy to come to the conclusion that we needed to hire a moving company and leave it to the professionals. We came across Trico and they offered everything we needed to get the job done. It was a simple pay them, sit back let them pack and load and let them unpack and be on their way process. I have a new profound respect for movers because its not as easy as it seems. They had loaded and unloaded the truck faster than we could do one when did it and they did it with out leaving a scratch or dent on anything. I highly suggest any brothers out there not to make the mistake we made and just go with Trico. If not it can cost you a loved one haha.

Too many moving has always been a drag. Every time I get hit with an extra charge too or they have me an hourly rate and they movers purposely drag.

This was a different experience. I was moving out of state and my nerves were high. Not only on about affording the move because I just gave my 1st months rent to my new place but it was a long distance. So I felt like more could go wrong. Surprisingly Trico didn't mess anything up haha.
They did really good actually. The came on time, I paid upfront, they helped me budget things and they movers moved quick! SUCCESS!

Moved out of Fort Myers Florida to the midwest with Trico. Wasn't looking forward to the moving part. I just wanted to get it over with. Found Trico online and they had everything I needed for the move.
Full service packing, Payment upfront, no hidden fees.

They made the move less dreadful for sure. They took care of all the packing while I was working. They labeled all the boxes and were really organized. The Trico guys helped unpack as well. The movers nailed it!
Customer service to the max. I still thought I was going to get hit with an extra fee at the end but I was wrong. Payment really is one time here.

Not a huge fan of moving. Who is honestly. Winter is approaching and I wanted to get things ready for my cabin in Maine. Furniture and Rugs is what I needed to ship. I wasn’t really sure how to wrap rugs either. I guess you roll them up. I also was bit worried that furniture could get damaged during a long move like this so I wanted to make sure I picked a good company for the Job. Trico proved to be very competitive for my business. I had mentioned that I was considering another company and they gave me full service packing on the house for my business!! They wrapped and took apart everything. I just watched them hustle when it was moving day. Very impressed by how fast the movers worked.I got updated tracking throughout the journey to Maine. I had my neighbor meet them in front of our cabin there. I was worried that since I wasn’t going to be there that they were going to slack when they arrived but after speaking with my neighbor they unrolled all the rugs and put things away when they got there.And they left no mess behind!

Heard about Trico from a friend actually who used them a year ago and had a good experience. I researched their website online and looked through their reviews. I then sent them an email and they got right back to me. Their website seems to have everything even an Instagram page haha. Any who I filled out info online and talked to one of their customer service people as well. They really stayed on top of everything throughout my whole move. I was able to also send them a job reference number on their site and they then messaged me the exact location of my things mid move. They made a move to Austin effortless. Thank You!

The issues I expected when I paid Trico to move my furniture from LA to Austin was that furniture may possibly get scratched and dinged up. However, I'd been reassured by countless reviews that Trico are professionals that take great care of the items they are entrusted with.

Well, what I came to find is that almost *all* of the furniture I shipped with them was *severely damaged* or broken beyond repair! What's more, one of my boxes was LOST COMPLETELY and left behind in LA - it was only with intense documentation, photographs and frantic, angry calls that my box finally turned up and was shipped to me. Sincerely, What kind of a shipping company loses boxes?! Isn't that *their only job*, to get things safe from one place to another?

As a note, I posted this same review on their website as two stars and of course they removed it. Thus, this review is now one star.

While the people that came to both pick up and deliver my furniture were very kind, very professional, and moved everything in and out without any damage, every item I packed myself is completely safe and sound, and almost every item they packed for me is damaged in some way after the move. This indicates to me there's a problem with how things are being packed, or there's a real problem with the long distance part of the long distance moving. I also came to learn they were contracted by Trico - Trico only does the LONG DISTANCE, not the pickup and delivery, so you never actually deal face to face with Trico employees which to hold accountable. Instead, I've spent the past few months playing phone tag with Trico employees and insurance reps, trying to get a settlement with which to repair my broken items.

That's another thing - Trico provided me with a single insurance option, and they have been a veritable nightmare to deal with - they as you to take extensive photos, then they schedule a LONG time away to come in and take photos of your damage AGAIN. In my case, they even scheduled ANOTHER appointment a long time away so they could come pick up my broken computer tower and take it to a specialist to have it looked at - only to come back TWO WEEKS LATER after taking it away to inform me they were repairing the computer instead of giving me an estimate, without having gotten my approval or even telling me the name of the third party!

And in this all, Trico has been utterly unhelpful - they've simply repeatedly told me to contact the insurance, or offered to pay me $0.25 per pound of damaged item. What kind of insane exchange rate is that? What kind of settlement offer is that?

This move has been an absolute nightmare: one of the worst and most stressful experiences in my life. I'm living in a special kind of hell, surrounded by broken furniture I cannot get rid of yet because Trico's provided insurance company is STILL not done figuring out my claim TWO MONTHS LATER; I am having to repair some items out of my own pocket because I just can't stand waiting anymore, but I have no guarantee of proper reimbursement from the insurance company.

This is a complete disaster.
Do yourself a favor and never, EVER hire Trico Long Distance Movers.

With so many moving companies to choose from it really becomes a headache. They're all trying to earn your business and it's hard to tell which ones are legit. So my goal was to find one that was going to be upfront and honest. I was trying to avoid the whole get a fake quote thing. I hate getting a price that's one number and then at the end of the move it turns into another because an extra hour or 30 mins was added. Anywho..back to my move.

My husband and I searched around online and this place has done tons of moves and it appeared to have made a lot of people happy. I decided to test that theory and get pricing to move our 3 bedroom house that we recently sold in west town, Chicago. We needed everything moved to Gold Coast within a week. Some of our stuff was fragile and we rather a professional pack that for us. The rates they gave were pretty good and they seemed competitive to go against the rates of others so we went with them. Glad we did too because they really delivered. Service was great, movers were friendly and they were very tolerable of our children running around while the move was taking place.
Took about 4 hours from start to finish which I'm more than ok with. It was definitely one of the better if not best companies I've dealt with for a relatively big move.

Trico did a solid job moving belongings for a new business that I was helping open up. Cabinets, chairs, desks, couches were all moved by their staff in a timely manner. Movers listened, worked quick and had a very positive attitude. The quote was very close to the final price that was given. Everything was paid up front and no extra chargers were added later on down the line. Move was 3 states away. They were great with unloading and placing items where they needed to go as well. All around good company that I would use again if needed.

Trico gave me the 5 star experience with my move. They took care of all the heavier pieces of items I own and provided me with extra boxes and packing stuff. Very cool people I worked with. I was pleased with the way it all turned out.

Talking with a few friends I found you can actually have movers pack your things for you. What a relief. I specifically used this company to handle both my packing and move. It was actually pretty simple and painless. I didn’t really need to supervise either during the packing process. I felt comfortable with the moving crew. Everything stayed super organized through the move. All I had to do was pay in the beginning and that was it! Thanks guys!

I want to express my complete praise for the AMAZING team from Trico that handled our household move. My roommate and I could not have done it without them. Having a lot of furniture, packing and lifting was a big concern of ours. The Trico staff arrived perfectly on time. Trico was beyond professional in the way that they inventoried everything. They worked quickly and carefully, and yet they were kind in addressing every area of the house to be sure we felt good about the entire process. The whole process was a joy. I even told my co-workers, family and friends that I would recommend them again and again. I would move all the time because they were wonderful. Thank you and your team for everything! Thank you for being so polite and attentive to our needs, for going beyond any expectations that prior moves have created, for treating us like royalty and addressing each other with such manners with such high professionalism. Trico provided us with outstanding customer service and they deserve the recognition! My family and friends will definitely receive a referral to use Trico for all of their needs!
