Honestly had a really great experience with this team for my move. As far as long distance moving services go, they were super easy to work with, kept me updated the whole time, and pricing was totally transparent with no surprises. The workers were friendly, careful with my stuff, and everything showed up on schedule without any damage. If you’re looking for state to state movers or a trustworthy interstate moving company, I’d surly go with them.

This review is for Cross Country Movers DOT # 2552260. Many companies use the same name, so I wanted to be clear.

We spoke to (a sales agent whose name was removed due to TrustPilot's conditions not to mention names) who at the beginning of the process seemed nice--until 3 days before delivery, HE told us that they would not deliver any of our stuff until we paid over $800 more. Then ghosted us.

After being promised on the phone we'd have clear communication within 24 hours, Matthew refused to then answer our calls, only emailing us that we needed to pay or the things would not be delivered. (They claimed according to Google maps they needed a smaller shuttle truck to deliver into our driveway, even though we have pictures of freight trucks in our driveway with no issue. They also had our address MONTHS before delivery and offered a binding agreement quote, so if they thought this was an issue, could have easily let us know ahead of time.) Wanting to get our stuff back quickly, we paid the hostage fee.

The driver and team who unloaded clearly stated they were contractors, though through the sales process, we were told that all the staff would be professionals working directly for Cross Country Movers, which was obviously not the case when they arrived. They banged things up, several boxes had broken items, and one box never arrived.

We have filed complaints and are looking into legal remedies. I will update if we have any resolution from the company, which based on their prior communication or lack therof, I am skeptical.

UPDATE: After filing with the BBB, the company has refunded an amount that effectively covered the additional cost of the shuttle.

They will not stop sending me marketing emails. There's no unsubscribe link and they have ignored my multiple requests for them to remove me from their list.
Do not reach out to this business or they will have your contact info and they will spam you with no way to stop it.

Just moved using Cross country movers and wanted to write this review before I forget. This was the first time I've ever moved to a new state with a full apartment of stuff. Being that back was against from Covid-19 I had to make some life changing decisions. The company that I had worked at for 8 years had to let so many people go and I was one of them. There was nowhere in my area that was willing to pay anywhere what I was close to making. So I could either take the financial hit and stay in the same area or relocate for the same amount I was making with room to grow. I'm sure you can already guess which option I chose based on me reviewing this business. Cross Country Movers made this exciting and scary life changing decision possible. The whole team was very nice. Pricing was competitive and the movers respected pandemic rules. Very happy I chose these guys.

Our estimate was created quickly but was very accurate. Over the phone, they were patient, nonjudgemental and answered all questions. Even repeated answers when needed. Procrastinated a bit and called last minute to book the move but they still handled it with no sweat. Pricing was reasonable and they were super easy to work with. All movers wore covid masks and respected regulations. Would 100% use them again in the future.

There were some challenges with where to put the truck for loading because of limitations of the building I was renting in. They quickly adapted and developed a good strategy. They parked the truck in an alley half a block away and carried everything that way. These guys worked so hard and moved quickly too. I have the utmost respect for them. We moved out of NYC and into a beautiful new apartment just outside of Boston. All thanks to these guys. All movers wore masks and gloves.
