Disappointing Return Experience

First of all, I’m writing this in response to your reply. When I initially placed the order, that flash discount was not active, and the product returned to its original price within at most one week. Even considering the 100-day risk-free trial, what you mentioned doesn’t really apply — in other words, you haven’t made an exception for me.

Second, you directed me to the FAQ, but under the returns section it only says:

*"Once your returned item is received and inspected, your refund request will be processed within 7 working days. We will return the money by the same means of payment which you used for the purchase.

If your order is refused and returned to sender, a refund will be applied within 14 business days, minus any applicable shipping fees."*

Customers base their purchase decisions on this information, not the FAQ as a whole. This part already reveals misleading practices, because nowhere in the returns section does it state that the customer must cover the return postage costs.

Although I never used the product, I was surprised by how difficult the return process was. They made it almost impossible for me to exercise my right to return. My request was rejected simply because I had purchased the item during a temporary discount, which was used as a reason to deny the return. Throughout the process, I encountered constant obstacles. Even when I offered to return the item, I was told that I would have to cover the return shipping cost, and the entire process was handled in a way that clearly discouraged returns. It was disappointing to experience such a lack of customer care. Because of this, I won’t be recommending this brand to other parents.

To clarify, the item you purchased was already marked down as part of our permanent sale collection and was further discounted during a limited-time flash promotion. As outlined in our return policy, which is available on our website, all sale items are final sale and not eligible for return.

That said, in an effort to be accommodating, we offered to make an exception and accept your return despite the final sale status. However, you declined this option because you did not wish to cover the return shipping, which is also clearly stated in our return FAQs.

We do our best to be transparent about our policies and to support our customers whenever possible. We're sorry that this experience did not meet your expectations and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Looks beautiful… but poor design and quality

We were initially so pleased to receive our puzzle playmat as it provided a safe and beautiful space for our baby to play on. However, within just 6 months multiple areas of the mat started peeling (I put this down to the biodegradable aspect of the material). Given the price of the playmat, and that it is supposed to withstand regular use and play, we expected it to be durable, and of a high standard, but instead were left very disappointed with the quality. After contacting customer service to make use of the manufacturer’s warranty and receive a replacement playmat, there have been a number of issues and going 4 months on still nothing has been done to resolve the issue. I would not recommend this product.

We’ve shipped your replacement mat twice, but unfortunately, both deliveries were returned to us by DPD. While we do our best to ensure smooth delivery, we do not have control over how third-party couriers handle shipments. That said, we’re continuing to work with you to find a solution and ensure your replacement gets to you successfully.

We're also sorry to hear about the peeling. Please note that the biodegradable additive used in the mat is not related to this issue and does not impact surface durability. We understand your frustration and are committed to resolving this matter as quickly as possible.

Beautiful look but disappointing quality...

Was so disappointed by this product... Read in some reviews that the quality wasn't good, but I bought it anyway because it looked so beautiful. Although we were extremely careful, the playmat was damaged in no time (even after a few days, little pieces of the plastic surface came off). For a playmat of this price I would've expected it to last at least a few months without any issues :-(

J’avais mis un commentaire négatif il y a quelques jours car je recevais des mails ( beaucoup ) me disant de finaliser la commande or mon compte avait bien été débité … je ne comprenais pas d’où venait l’erreur …je voulais juste avoir la validation de ma commande !

J ai compris d’où venait l erreur J’avais payé avec Paypal qui est lié à 1 autre adresse une ancienne adresse pour le paiement et je me connecte à Paypal avec mon adresse actuelle …
je n’aime pas laisser ce genre de message sur trustpilot mais c’est très efficace pour avoir une réponse rapide à vos problèmes.

Inaccurate marketing

The website states that they offer replacement tiles for non-warranty damage but customer service advised that they only cover warranty damage. Misleading and inaccurate to offer coverage for non warranty damage on the website and not follow through.

To clarify, our replacement tile policy covers tiles that arrive damaged or become defective through normal use, whether under warranty or otherwise. However, we’re unable to replace products that have been intentionally altered or damaged, such as those that have been cut or modified.

In your case, the tiles in question had been cut in half with scissors, which falls outside the scope of our replacement policy. We aim to be as transparent as possible on our website, and we’ll certainly take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve our communication and policies.

Mats don't always last long and the Company responded well!

Update: Mat peeled after 4/5 months the process to submit the warranty was not easy or simple. However, they did respond when I filed a complaint and have replaced my mat entirely which is actual incredible!! Thank you Toddlekind

Love the quality and the people behind the brand

I’ve bought several Toddlekind products now, including a playmat and the change clutch, and I’ve been really impressed. The quality is great — durable, easy to wipe, and clearly made to last. I also love the thought that goes into the design. It’s obvious this brand is created by moms who understand what we need.

Extrèmement mécontente,

J'ai commandé un tapis pour le bébé de ma fille qu'elle n'a toujours pas reçu mais, je recois chaque jour un message:" comment avez-vous trouvé votre commande".... et je réponds :" je n'ai pas reçu ma commande". Cette société m'envoie un numéro pour "tracker " ma commande mais il est absolument impossible de se connecter en France.
Je ne sais même pas si je vais arriver à être remboursée.
J'ai écrit en français puis en anglais , me disant qu'il n'avait peut-être pas de traducteur ( humour noir)... ça ne change rien!
Aujourd'hui 25 mars, je reçois la réponse de toddlekind...qui ne doit rien vérifier puisque finalement nous avons fini par recevoir ce "fameux"tapis. Malheureusement, j'ai néanmoins mettre cette société en indésirable ainsi qu'essayer de la bloquer, je continue à recevoir des messages....c'est fatigant...A fuir

Dreadful company

We purchased a premium mat and after normal use and proper cleaning methods still every tile has peeled.

I contacted Toddlekind to claim under the warranty, was forwarded to a claim portal where I submitted all of the details required including photos.

The response on the portal has been dreadful with weeks inbetween messages. I had to email them again to see what was going on.

Toddlekind response is that their UK factory is now closed and are working on a solution. It has been weeks and nothing has been solved.

Avoid buying from this company including via Amazon as there is no support and the products are shocking

Faulty Product, Zero Customer Service

We purchased a Toddlekind playmat in July 2024, but by December 2024 it was peeling in multiple places. I reported these issues (not least due to the safety hazard) and was referred to the Claimlane website to submit a warranty claim. The playmat is clearly faulty and we expected Toddlekind to address the safety issue promptly.

I submitted the requested information shortly thereafter, then replied with follow-up details on 13th January 2025. Since then, I have not received an update despite chasing on 3rd February, 16th February, and 25th February.

We will be discarding our playmat due to the ongoing safety hazard, and will be purchasing from an alternative retailer. We would urge other parents to do the same.

Hors de prix pour mauvaise qualité

Voilà 4 ans que j'ai reçu les tapis pour la chambre de ma fille, j'étais heureuse du joli motif original mais trés vite j'ai été absolument déçue de la qualité , la couche de couleur se décolle de partout et la partie prés de la fenêtre à changé de couleur par rapport à celle du fond de la pièce, malgré un entretien très soigneux et presque aucune utilisation car les enfants ne jouent jamais dans leur chambre mais dans le salon des parents! C'est hors de prix pour la médiocre qualité ne vous faites pas avoir par les belles couleurs c'est du vol! Salut les parents !

Nos produits sont couverts par une garantie fabricant de deux ans. Malheureusement, votre commande ayant été passée il y a plus de quatre ans, nous ne pouvons actuellement pas traiter votre réclamation au titre de la garantie. Comme de nombreux matériaux, une exposition prolongée à la lumière directe du soleil pendant plusieurs années peut naturellement entraîner une certaine décoloration, et nous regrettons la gêne occasionnée.

Slechte kwaliteit en service

Speelmat gekocht in november voor €180. Nog geen 6 weken later zitten er putjes in terwijl de kinderen er normaal op spelen. Dit hoort bij de slijtage geeft toddler kind aan en ik krijg niks vergoed. Ik had op z'n minst nieuwe matten verwacht. Slechte service en slechte matten

Inmiddels te horen gekregen dat we toch nieuwe matten krijgen. Heel fijn want dit mag niet na een paar weken. Bedankt voor het oplossen en de service!

Tapis multi usages

Superbe tapis, esthétique et fonctionnel, dont j'ai détourné l'usage en le plaçant sous la chaise à roulettes de mon coin bureau pour protéger mon parquet. C'est le 2ème que j'achète, j'avais envie de changer de coloris et j'ai été séduite par ce modèle noir et blanc. Il remplit parfaitement sa fonction de protection du parquet.

Awful quality

Awful quality! Be mindful before buying. I bought their “luxury” mats for a little over £100 because the design was pretty, the mats were for my son who wasn’t yet on the move, so I was shocked when the pattern started peeling out of the blue!
Naturally, as this could cause harm to my baby I wrote to them and due to their delay, I ended up going out and buying a new set of mats from a tried and tested retailer. Not only did it take some time for them to get back to me, we were back and fourth for over a month attempting to resolve the situation. I kept explaining I was now out of pocket due to buying new mats and I didn’t want a replacement but they outrightly refused to any form of monetary return (I would understand if I had owned to mats for months and it was my child’s fault but I had used them for a matter of weeks). My only choice was to accept a replacement even though I had already bought new non~peeling ones.
Therefore Be mindful if you are willing to risk spending a lot of money and for them to be broken within weeks without any wear or tear. I dread to think how quickly they will peel when your child is acctually on the move.

Absolutely atrocious quality

Absolutely atrocious quality. We put the mat down and looked at it funny and it ripped. They did allow us to ship it back, but waited two weeks after receiving it to issue a refund. These days, most places refund you when the shipper receives the return.

This was a very disappointing experience.

The best playmats and customer service!

Their products are of incredible quality! We have the premium play-mat and love the design and the soft feel of it. We also had a slight mix up with their gift system (our mistake) and customer service has been nothing short of amazing and helped us get the item immediately over to us free of charge!
