I have never experienced such unprofessional, disrespectful, and dishonest treatment from a retailer as I did with The Perfume Shop. After ordering over 20 perfumes as gifts, two items were either canceled without a refund or simply never arrived. I provided clear proof that these two items were never delivered, including payment screenshots and order tracking.

Instead of resolving the issue, The Perfume Shop accused me of lying about not receiving the items and then accused me of dishonesty by claiming I hadn’t paid in full, despite my evidence showing the full payment was taken.

In the end, they did admit that I never received these two items. Yet instead of apologizing for the experience, their disrespectful tone, or their baseless accusations, they simply blamed “logistics.” I repeatedly asked for a sincere apology, because if this had happened to someone unaware of their rights, The Perfume Shop would have gotten away with dismissing them as a liar without any proof, just because their warehouse claimed they “don’t make mistakes.”

Throughout weeks of back-and-forth, I was met with deflection, blame-shifting, and empty apologies for logistics but never a real apology for their insulting and unprofessional behavior. The entire ordeal dragged on unnecessarily, over items worth as little as €8.80, yet their team treated me with arrogance, gaslighting, and complete disregard for basic customer respect.

No customer should go through this. I’m sharing this experience so others know exactly how The Perfume Shop treats paying customers: with contempt, incompetence, and a refusal to own their mistakes.

Avoid The Perfume Shop if you value your time, money, and dignity.

I was looking for a new perfume to use for summer, and when I went in Sinead really helped me choose between all the different scents. She did a great job.

I was shopping for aftershave for my nephew and found Sinead to be very helpful and knowledgeable about popular fragrances for his age group.
