Nice signs but ...... could be better?
We had a house name plate and a driveway sign post.
Both were delivered promptly and well wrapped.
Whilst I appreciate that slate is a natural product with its own imperfections I think ours were not the best selection.
Similarly the timber posts fir the driveway sign had huge knots which had fallen out and significantly reduced the width at the base, hence I had to shorten the posts!
The timber was also stamped with lettering and not sanded smooth.
Screws didn't appear to be stainless steel either hence concerns they will rust and stain the slate!

Lovely signs
I've just had a driveway makeover and wanted new signs, one for the entrance pillar and a smaller one to replace an existing one on the house. The signs arrived really quickly and were well packaged. However, they'd made 2 of the larger size instead of one large and one small. I contacted the company by email and, after a small delay in replying, Jack confirmed that the correct smaller sign had been made and sent out.
Ok, a mistake was made, but they corrected it and the slate signs are perfect - exactly what I wanted. To me, good customer service is how a company sorts out a problem and it was sorted quickly and to my satisfaction. I would definitely use them again.

Ignore the positive reviews, they are terrible
Ordered a simple engraved slate house number sign. The slate which we received has either staining or natural imperfections which should have rendered it as a seconds item. If I could leave pictures on the review I would so others can see the poor quality item I have received.
I’m really not impressed, the quality of the item is poor compared to other (cheaper) suppliers I have used in the past.
I have contacted the company 3 days ago to try and resolve the issue and have been ignored.
I don’t like to leave negative reviews and always give people the opportunity to put things right when they go wrong. That has not happened on this occasion and I would advise people to use a different company.
I’m disappointed as I ordered here on the strength of the positive reviews.
EDIT: please don’t let the companies reply below sway your decision to order from this company. I sent a further email in response to this comment on the day that they replied. I forwarded my original email and I have still been ignored after more than a week. Avoid.

- Sign is well made
- Engraving is good
- Price was competitive
The Not So Good Points
- the drilled holes are countersunk, but the screws supplied are not, in fact they didn’t even fit in the holes
- the delivery went astray, not clear who’s fault that was
- communication was very slow and then never replied with a delivery update that they committed to do, very disappointing
