Swiss Chalet Recensioni 

We have been going to Swiss Chalet weekly for some time because our small, thin grandson eats so well at Swiss Chalet. Since the Festive Specials started, we have been ordering Festive Specials. In the past, we have received a complimentary appetizer of chicken spring rolls with our CAA card. But this last time, we were told that we cannot get anything free with our CAA card because we ordered Festive Specials and that the server was incorrect to give them to us in the past. Festive specials are significantly MORE expensive than regular meals so we were very upset that we were denied this incentive that we had received in the past. If you order a cheaper meal, let's say with a discount coupon, then I understand but when you are ordering a MORE expensive meal, it makes no sense. Also, why take rice pilaff off the menu for sides? You have the rice for the chicken stir fry anyway. We'll be taking our weekly restaurant visit with our grandson elsewhere unless you can correct the concerns outlined above.

Our waitress at the Fairway Road location, Betty-Lou was fabulous.
She was witty, sassy, and kept us smiling. The restaurant was very busy and the food took quite a while, but she made the wait worth it. Food finally arrived, hot, plentiful and we were very pleased. Give this lady a raise!!

Nice waitresses, but it was gross and gave me diarrhea. French fries tasted like they cooked them in the microwave.

Recently had Swiss chalet frozen chicken pies & they were awful. Trust me when I tell you, stay away from there frozen chicken pies

We went to the Swiss chalet on Dufferin Street on Thanksgiving. We were there early. The service was incredibly slow because they were understaffed. And as it got busy and got even worse. Then they brought us our pumpkin pie, which was frozen. But the waitress just came and gave us three pumpkin pie to go to make up for it. and by the time I got home, the taste of the pumpkin pie was haunting me. It was horrible.

Thanksgiving Feast is usally a winner. This time not so much. The chicken piece was soooooo small!!! Nothing to give thanks for. The Market vegetables with cheese was salty and so full of garlic!!No gravy, stuffing was soggy and a tiny amount of cranberry sauce. The potato was okay. This was my Thanksgiving meal. As a senior I can't afford to waste this kind of money.

Dinner for 2 - portion sizes were small for the chicken, soggy burnt fries, dry chicken in the spring rolls. Uber eats would not give me a refund, live chat from support wouldnt do anything said its ubers problem. Wrote a bad google review, than the owner of the location called and peronally apologized and made it right. Swiss customer service at home office is terrible. UBER eats customer servie is even Worse.

spent $45+tax for so so chicken, 2 soggy fries, one baked potato with no butter or sour cream and ver dried donuts for dessert. was disaster. never again

I came into the restaurant today for the first day of school to buy 2 swiss chalet poutines for my kids and had to wait over 15 MINUTES while watching another customer come after me, ordered his meal and RECEIVED IT BEFORE ME!!!! The restaurant was not busy at all. I normally don't make reviews but enough is enough. I have been coming to this restaurant from the time it has been open and its all ways hit and miss, long waits in the drive through staff untidy looking and making food. Totally a waste of a restaurant.

Terrible dining experience. Swiss Chalet Restaurant, 1240 Rymal Rd. E., Hamilton, ON:
Small chicken leg; requested bacon on caesar salad, got none; no celery in caesar cocktail, had no celery in restaurant; got charged $0.99 for an extra chalet sauce even though their website says no charge for this; received no credit for "scene" in restaurant points even though we gave the card to the waitress; no water was offered and we got only one glass for two of us when we asked; slow food service; their bathrooms were absolutely filthy. Restaurant NOT recommended.

I was staying at a motel in Barrie and thought I would get a take out meal at Swiss Chalet(Bayfield St.)
Asked for pepper, salt and malt vinegar a Pepsi zero. and a lemon pie. When I got back to my room, no utensils, no salt pepper or vinegar, no servettes or Pepsi zero and the pie was upside down (what a mess) I specifically requested utensils and salt and pepper when I ordered at takeout.

Great customer service

Terrible dried out chicken ribs . Ordered extra bun received no butter . The fries looked like they sat on heat rack . By the time delivery was made this so called food was not fit for a dog . Spending $43.95 plus tip I was totally taken back that they thought this was fit to send . Won't ever order from Swiss Chalet again . 😒

Can I give Swiss Chalet Delivery zero stars? Do not order from them online ever. Ever. Bottom-of-the barrel crap service. It’s all automated, of course. Like many modern businesses, all automated and online. I got an automated text from them at 3:35 saying my order would likely be here in 23 minutes. It’s now 4:57. Nothing. The maraschino cherry? They’ve already stolen my money on my credit card. No cash at the door option. They’d actually have to deliver food they’ve ALREADY CHARGED ME FOR ON MY CREDIT CARD. Do not order from Swiss Chalet. Ever.

I suspect that the reason for so many bad reviews of Swiss Chalet depend upon location. I attend the location at Henderson Drive and Yonge Street in Aurora daily. Yes daily. My experience with this Swiss Chalet location has been exceptional. The staff have been very friendly and accommodating (always bringing my order out to my car rain, snow or shine). The food has been tasty (I eat my dinner there every night) and I feel like I am a valued customer. I highly recommend this Swiss Chalet location (which is also a Harveys outlet).

Dirty place - dirty floors, greasy chairs, sticky tables, not inviting at all. Disgusting.

I should have read the reviews before visiting. We Visited around 18:00 on a Saturday. Place was less than 50% full but several groups were waiting.
Swiss chalet are advertising rib deals but guess what? No ribs!! And its Saturday? Empty parking lot and less than 50% full tells a story.
Ordered a chicken meal and a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was piled on and loads of fries. The 1/2 chicken meal was skinny. One of the smallest chickens I've eaten (I felt sorry for it). Sides were small
We actually went to McDonald's afterwards.
The server was ok, but didn't provide a nova Scotia welcome.
Overall really disappointing. Especially after the advertising and hype.
