Outstanding customer service
The member of staff who helped us understand, select, and buy a riser recliner chair was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and went over and above to help us get what we needed. He was a real expert and offered invaluable advice. Also the selection of these chairs available at Sterling was fantastic. Much better than every other store we visited. The chair was delivered to our family member within days and was exactly what they needed, they love it. I cannot recommend and thank Sterling enough. This is our third purchase from Sterling this year and we will now always go there first when looking to buy furniture.
Edit based on Sterling's reply: the employee I refer to in my review is Kerr at the London Road branch, who deserves the recognition.

Delivery company damaged the brand new flooring, and waiting for Sterling to confirm how this will be fixed over a month later.

Very happy with my new sofas
Very happy with my new sofas. All staff I dealt with were helpful and friendly from sales point to delivery. Furniture was ready earlier than expected however it was no problem to store it until I was ready for delivery.
Delivered at stated time and delivery team took care in the property.

Was advised that delivery would be approximately 6 weeks, I was kept informed .

The delivery men were fast and efficient. They brought in the two sofas, positioned them where I wanted then removed all the packaging and took it away with them. The sofas themselves are sturdy, well built and the material is of good quality. The accent cushions didn’t remain fluffy for long and have flattened but they are in constant use.

I bought the perfect mattress for me. I was given great advice from Karen who helped me choose my mattress and she gave me lots of time to make my purchasing decision. I bought during the sale so got a good deal and was able to get interest free credit for a year making it more affordable.

I didn’t get the bed I ordered although…
I didn’t get the bed I ordered although shop say I did. When I questioned it I was told I had to “bed it in”. I’ve never heard anything like this in my time of buying a mattress. Wouldn’t change it as it was unwrapped(not by me) as a health issue. Left with an £800 mattress that does not met my requirements. Won’t be using Sterling ever again.

The man that we ordered the sofa and chair from did not pressure us at all and just left us to look and view the samples, which was great and then we approached him to order the furniture. The man was great and it was a pleasure to shop there.

Carpet and Customer Service
I recently ordered a carpet from Sterling. The customer service from Lauren was great, she was so friendly and has a wealth of knowledge on carpets - I asked lots of questions and really appreciated her knowledge and advice. Carpet fitters were great - I had to have a join and you can't even see it, so great job done. Really pleased with my new carpet and customer service from Sterling :-)

Recently bought a new suite, tables, lights, picture etc. The staff, Jamie and Billy were very helpful. Our new picture got damaged and the store replaced it which was very much appreciated.

Staff very nice and helpful,however I…
Staff very nice and helpful,however I have asked on 2 separate occasions for a material sample of my ordered suite,once on the day of ordering and again 4 weeks later. I also used the search ordering direct service from Ercol and have still not received a sample. Overall I have made 3 requests 2 via Sterling's and one direct to Ercol.
I would like a sample of material to enable me to continue shopping for matching accessories.
