Fantastic service
Following previous positive dealings at the Tillicoultry branch we have been recently frequenting the London road branch cafe and have been delighted with the quality of food and especially the very polite friendly hard working staff there.
We weren’t actually in to buy furniture on Monday but ended up buying a new mattress at a great price.We were served by Margaret Gibb who was a pleasure to deal with.
For the record we also bought a new sofa,chair and large rug from the Tillicoultry store in May which have been a fantastic addition to our home.
We can’t wait now for the new mattress to arrive and finally get a decent night’s sleep with both of us together in the same bed again.

Chiltern suite from Sterling furniture
Ordered Chiltern suite received in July after 2 weeks notified Sterling about problems with suite,had an assessor out to investigate 2 faults we had.The first assessor investigated a noise from suite when sitting and the cushion was flattening he informed us the legs were slack he tightened them and put felt pads on the feet he commented on the cushion but did not report it.2nd assessor came out after we had to phone customer service to asked what is being done regarding cushion,assessor agreed foam in cushion was flat and ordered a replacement,advised it would take 4 weeks for replacement, since then the cushions on the sofa are exactly the same, going flat.the advise given was you need to plump your cushions up.
This is not acceptable as it appears to be a inferior foam , I would avoid ordering this manufacturer at all cost and don’t entertain them don’t buy
I am also disappointed that a company like sterling are prepared to deal with this standard of furniture and reviews for this manufacturer Ashwood concur with our faults wish I checked their reviews before ordering a lesson learned looking to replace suite expensive mistake

Failure to Deliver Bar Stools 11/08/2025
We visited the Sterling store on 27/06/2025 where we ordered two Starley bar stools (dark Brown). We placed the order on the basis that they could be delivered in 4 weeks (as advised by the sales assistant). This would have meant that we should have received these around the end of July. On contacting the store today we were advised that it will be September before we receive our order and at this point in time the date Sterling cannot advise when we will receive in September. Having paid in full (what we thought was the right thing do since it was only 4 weeks until delivered) we are still awaiting delivery which we have been advised will now be September (date uknown). Had we known it was going to be a September delivery at the time we would have went elsewhere. Unfortunately the sales person lied to us. Not only that but Sterling then sent out this customer feedback review event though we have not received our goods. Overall disappointing as having been a Sterling/Forrest customer for many years and never experienced this issue before.

Helpful and attentive sales staff
Looking for a new comfortable sofa which is sized for short people. After looking online there were 2 or 3 sofas I liked the look of but frustratingly only the overall dimensions were listed! There was no detailed diagram showing seat heights and depths. So I went to my nearest store at opening time to ensure finding a member of staff available. My first choice of sofa looked nice, was comfortable but too big and heavy. My second choice of sofa was not in that store. So along with the salesman I tried out a variety of smaller sofas. The Lorca seemed perfect, the right size, good choice of fabrics and neither traditional nor too modern. Went home to check sizes and that it would fit in the space and more importantly go up 2 sets of stairs to the top floor. All good and returned to the store later in the day to order with the same salesman. A result thank you Sterling.

I recently bought a new bed from Sterling Furniture, London Road, Glasgow. Eric was the salesman. What an outstanding salesman. He was very knowledgeable on each and every product in his large department. He told me that he had nearly 30 years experience in selling beds. I found him to be very patient, knowledgeable and understanding. I did not feel rushed or pressurised into choosing an expensive item as I went to the store on two occasions. I listened to his advice and chose the correct product for me. What a credit he is to your company. It’s a pleasure to go into your store and be served by someone who knows their product and who gives outstanding customer service. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. I left the store very happy that I had chosen the correct product for me. Thank you again Eric.

Excellent service
Went to London road store today and had the pleasure of dealing with Evelyn and Lynette. They were warm and friendly right from the minute I asked them for help. I was looking for two lamps and only saw one on display. They quickly located a second, wrapped them in bubble wrap and helped me out to my car with them. Nothing was too much trouble. Take heed Uddingston branch. I visited there last night and they only had one lamp in stock and staff member didn’t offer to check other stores for me.. it was patently obvious she wasn’t interested . Take a bow Evelyn and Lynette , you are a credit to your company.
