Great experience in the Guildford showroom with Margarita

I was on a deadline and contacted Starell Stones to make sure my order was dispatched. Julia went to so much effort to check out my order, make sure I had ordered the correct amount and had them packaged off that day. She was so friendly and helpful. My tiles arrived in super condition and are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you again

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with Starel Stones has been extremely disappointing.

I placed an order for tiles on a Tuesday and received very little communication afterwards. As it was a job lot order, I emailed to confirm the quantity and details, but received no response. By Friday, I still hadn’t had a reply and had no update on when my order would be dispatched.

When I eventually managed to get through to someone by phone, I was told dispatch could take up to 10 working days. This wasn’t clear when I placed the order, and I had understood delivery times to be much shorter. When you’re trying to coordinate tradespeople and book tilers, being told several days later that dispatch could take up to 10 days is far from ideal.

What frustrated me most was the lack of customer service. There was no apology or attempt to help. The response was simply that this was their process. As the timescale no longer worked for my project, I asked to cancel the order. The response was effectively, “Fine then,” and the call ended.

I then received no cancellation confirmation email, so I had no written evidence that my order had been cancelled or any indication of when I would receive my refund. When I called again, I was told a cancellation email wasn’t necessary. I disagree completely—customers should receive written confirmation of cancellations and clear information regarding refund timescales.

To make matters worse, I was then told I needed to complete an online refund form. However, every time I entered my order number, the system produced an error and would not allow me to submit it. I emailed screenshots and all the requested information instead, but once again received no response.

The lack of communication has been the biggest issue throughout this experience. Emails appear to go unanswered, obtaining information requires repeated phone calls, and there seems to be very little concern for the customer once an order has been placed.

For a company selling premium tiles at premium prices that claim they’re a family run business I expected a much higher level of service. Sadly, this has been one of the poorest customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. I am left not knowing if they have accepted my refund or if I’ll get one. She also said their refund can take 30 days?!

Patrycya was amazing from start to finish. She managed to squeeze us in at short notice to have a look at the slab showroom as we had come from Scotland; the entire team went out of their way to help make ours decisions easier & we couldn’t recommend them enough.
The stone is simply gorgeous.

It was a pleasure to visit Starel slab showroom in Southampton. Which offered a large variety of high quality stones. We had the pleasure of being shown around by Patrycja who was very knowledge and offered us great customer service.

I have had a horrible experience with them. I ordered a vanity from them in May and they said it will be delivered in 2 weeks. They were responsive while the payment was due and post that no response from them whatsoever. It has been more than a month and they are neither returning my calls nor responding to emails and I have people moving in next week.

Don the driver from star el brilliant service came with a smile and was super helpful. Stone came in excellent condition and we will be ordering more in the future.

Hello. I don't like to complain in a public forum but I am trying to get someone to respond to me.  I have had an incorrect product and pallet sitting at my house for a long time now and, despite the multiple emails that I have sent and the many phonecalls I have made, the matter has not been resolved.  I have had no response to my last five emails, two online enquiries and various phonecalls. Grateful of some help please.

We have had great customer experience with Starel Stone specifically Sophie. There was a mix up with our sinks for our vanity unit but they very quickly sent out new ones and took away the old even though it was a few months ago we bought their vanity unit that I LOVE. thank you

We recently visited Starel Stones in Southampton to choose a marble slab for our utility room and were looking for a very specific combination of soft muted greens and warm creams, which was far from an easy find.
The experience was excellent from start to finish. Starel Stones has an incredible selection of slabs, and what really stood out was the transparency throughout the process. Buying natural stone can often feel overwhelming, but they take all of the mystery out of it and make it easy to compare options and make informed decisions.
A special thank you to Patrycja, who went above and beyond during our visit. She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping us find the perfect slab for our project. Nothing felt rushed, and her attention to detail made all the difference.
