We ordered marble tiles from Starel stones on 2 occasions. The tiles are stunning so we’re very happy with them.

What also added to the experience was Ryan who delivered them both times. He took such care unloading and delivering the pallet and no tile was damaged during the delivery process. In comparison we refused delivery of another large marble tile company because all their tiles came broken. Thank you Ryan!

Just placed an order for floor tiles after already getting samples and writing a good review on here about the sample process. However now I’ve ordered, I have received absolutely no confirmation of order, no delivery scale nothing. Just a blank email and one to review. I hope this isn’t how the order means to go on. I was a bit anxious about ordering after reading reviews on here so fingers crossed they send a proper confirmation of my order soon. I have would expected it to be an automatic thing as soon as the order was placed.

Wish the the office was as forgiving to deal with

Ordered a vanity unit from them with an expected delivery of 4 weeks. It took 9 weeks. Extra delays incurred us extra labour costs too, not that they cared. When delivery was finally due I asked for a photo of the top as I just knew the company felt so incompetent that mistakes would be made. They sent no photo and instead delivered someone else's marble top. They did nothing to compensate for this mistake. Communication is the worst I have experienced from any company. I confirmed via phone that I ordered a splash back and they said yes but nothing turned up and they tried to make me pay another £400 if I wanted one. Didn't want to give this company a penny more so I am left with an unfinished product. The marble could be nice but it arrived scratched and damaged and the company don't care to reply about it. AVOID this company if you want to save yourself months of stress and financial loss.

I was on a deadline and contacted Starell Stones to make sure my order was dispatched. Julia went to so much effort to check out my order, make sure I had ordered the correct amount and had them packaged off that day. She was so friendly and helpful. My tiles arrived in super condition and are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you again

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with Starel Stones has been extremely disappointing.

I placed an order for tiles on a Tuesday and received very little communication afterwards. As it was a job lot order, I emailed to confirm the quantity and details, but received no response. By Friday, I still hadn’t had a reply and had no update on when my order would be dispatched.

When I eventually managed to get through to someone by phone, I was told dispatch could take up to 10 working days. This wasn’t clear when I placed the order, and I had understood delivery times to be much shorter. When you’re trying to coordinate tradespeople and book tilers, being told several days later that dispatch could take up to 10 days is far from ideal.

What frustrated me most was the lack of customer service. There was no apology or attempt to help. The response was simply that this was their process. As the timescale no longer worked for my project, I asked to cancel the order. The response was effectively, “Fine then,” and the call ended.

I then received no cancellation confirmation email, so I had no written evidence that my order had been cancelled or any indication of when I would receive my refund. When I called again, I was told a cancellation email wasn’t necessary. I disagree completely—customers should receive written confirmation of cancellations and clear information regarding refund timescales.

To make matters worse, I was then told I needed to complete an online refund form. However, every time I entered my order number, the system produced an error and would not allow me to submit it. I emailed screenshots and all the requested information instead, but once again received no response.

The lack of communication has been the biggest issue throughout this experience. Emails appear to go unanswered, obtaining information requires repeated phone calls, and there seems to be very little concern for the customer once an order has been placed.

For a company selling premium tiles at premium prices that claim they’re a family run business I expected a much higher level of service. Sadly, this has been one of the poorest customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. I am left not knowing if they have accepted my refund or if I’ll get one. She also said their refund can take 30 days?!
