Made my purchase back on Jan. 2021. Almost 7 yrs later, the user interface is still the same! No updates, no improvements, not even s change in colors or page layout. Straight up garbage!!

BEWARE!!!! A total rip off for a worthless app and no instructions how to fully utilize the application. This WAS a waste of hard earned cash. Stay far away from the so called too good to be true offer of $27 for the application with almost no features that you can't utilize for any meaningful narration! That is if you want to UPGRADE to the next level which will allow you realistic narration features if you can figure out how to use it. ...That is if your ever able to figure out very limited compared to the upgraded version which will cost you $47 dollars every three months or almost $200 a year to pay for it in full. Once they have you debit card or credit card they will charge you $47 every three months! I finally had to FREEZE my Debit card to avoid being robbed further!!!
DON"T GIVE INTO THE TEMPTATION OF BUYING AN APPLICATION BASED ON THE ALLURING ADVERTISEMENT!!! AND DEFINATYELY DON"T GO PAYING for a year upfront! You may never get your money back once you realize you bought an app with much hype and no way to get to use the way they falsely lure you in for $27...

This has saved me countless hours recording voiceovers
I purchased the standard version, tried it, and it worked very well. There were a limited number of British voices which we use so I went ahead and purchased the lifetime pro package at a one-off cost.
The Pro package has lots of voices to choose from. The quality of them does vary and we find the female British voices are better than the male ones.
I run a marketing agency and we use Speechelo to create voice-overs for text reviews & testimonials which we turn into videos. We also use it for YouTube channel intro videos and several other things like that. It has saved countless hours of me recording voiceovers myself and a lot of money in getting them done by a voice-over artist.
The voiceovers are really good provided you use plenty of punctuation in the script, which is what they advise.
We've never had to contact support as everything has worked well, so I can't comment on what that is like.
Overall I'm delighted with the product and it's fast becoming an essential tool in creating videos very quickly for our clients.

I was really iffy about whether I should give Speechelo and Scriptelo a try. I decided to give them a shot and have not regretted it. Being able to use Speechelo Pro to create the voice overs I need to promote the business was great but having Scriptelo and Speechelo working together was AMAZING! Customer support was really great to work with as well. They answered every doubt I had and were really supportive and understanding even when I showed frustration. Thank you guys for your patience and time. You have WON a Raving Fan!!!!!

I smelled a scam right away as the ad consists of tons of pages that you are supposed to scroll through only to get confused. Typical of a scammer selling another version of snake oil!

Not sure if this company will give refund
I was looking for a text-to-speech app and found Speechelo. It looked interesting and they are pretty hard sell, but I wanted to see (and hear) more examples of their voices. It appeared the only way to do that was to sign up for their standard option. Since they say several times on their website and in their videos that they will give you a full refund within 60 days, I thought it would be safe. It's now appearing I may have been wrong. In response to my request for a refund (the only US female voice available was awful), customer support pitched me to buy the pro version, which I do not need nor want. Now, I'm not sure whether they will honor what they advertise on their website about refunds or not. Will definitely keep you posted.

Their advertising is completely misleading. They provide far fewer voices then they promise because they consider the AI version of a voice to be a different voice! And their AI voices are inferior to other companies. They also seem to have multiple listings on google that appear to represent them as different companies!

Speechelo gives the impression that you have a one-time account, which is not the case. Subsequently, double debits are made from the credit card. There is no clear opt-out possible.

No billing document
It works fine for our needs. But I never received a billing document. Not receiving a billing document seems very unprofessionel, and the fact that there is no customer service/mail/number to contact is weird. So, here I am on Trustpilot to ask Speechelo to send me a billing document - can you please do that?

Update 2022-12-05 : it's been 7 days and 5 banking days and I still have not received my refund yet. I wrote to them but they still haven't replied yet.

Warning!!! Do not purchase any of their products. I went ahead and wanted to try out Speechelo since there was a 47 dollar discount. I filled in the details on my credit card and got overwhelmed with several popups and videos offering me the pro version. I look at it but decided to decline the offer on the pro version. During checkout I noticed that they went ahead and charged me for both versions so I checked my bank account and it was true. They went ahead and stole money without my consent.Not only that, after the purchase I found out that it was a subscription which was not stated anywhere before the purchase was made- I tried to contact customer service and the link was broken, after several attempts i got hold of "clickbanks" Chat support and got help from "Lourdes". I explained the whole deal and wanted a full refund. I was offered to try the package and get a partial refund but I got even more annoyed after being scammed twice so I asked for a full refund. "Lourdes" said that she was gonna process the refunds and I truly hope that I will get it in full the following days to come... A very poor and desperate sale tactic that just ticked me off... Oh almost forgot. " Lourdes" added the text saying:"The cumstomer can't afford the products and wants a refund" Way to go to not tell it the way it is!! So aggrevating....

Beta software for full price // No response from support
1/10 user experience. To get to the actual software you paid for ($US53) you have to navigate numerous upsells and promotions. I bought the standard package (which I was not able to preview beforehand) and was surprised to find out there's only one female voice... and that voice is unusable. It sounds like a robot. The other male voice samples are a little better. You get only 4 voices to choose from. Yet the company boasts that there are 72!! I have contacted support twice and have yet to hear back. Buyer beware, this is one shady company. PRO TIP- spend your money on Synthesia.. it is a far more legitimate product.

WARNING - Subscription needed to make it useful
Sold as a one time purchase on massive discount for full access. Upsell to pro to make it useful is actually a subscription. Even if you spot this on the page it is too late as you have already bought a product that wont do what you want. The product works ok but the sales model is misleading and unethical. I have asked them to modify it to make it clearer and look forward to their response.

I use the software only in Italian and I must say that the result is very performing. Its use is very interesting and intuitive, easy and above all the results and the realism of the voice are truly exceptional. Great for online presentations, reading audio books or when needing to speak over images or videos. To be recommended absolutely.

I did a "trial" and was charged multiple times. Read ALL the "fine print" & DON'T use a bank card!! I tried reaching the "company" multiple times with no success. Lost hundreds of $ until I threatened my bank. Great concept, but a #moneysuckingscam!

I am so impressed with speechelo. The voices are great and it’s easy to use. The app could use a little work and therefore the 4/5 stars. I had trouble downloading on to my machine a couple times.

Speechlo is the best TTS tool
Speechlo is the best TTS tool. But needs improvement. Some of the voices are awesome, You could not hear any trembling or some ticking sound when the voice character's speech, unlike other TTS tools. That is why I am impressed with this tool.
The developer is great, unless when you use the other voice character that is not yet developed.
But I know maybe in the future they will improve the other character so that to have a lot of different unique voices and characters that are perfectly performing like BILLY JOEL Character and other Pro characters that the voices are quite performing perfectly amazing.
In order for you to hear the voice perfectly performing, you need to add some punctuation marks according to the situation of the paragraph.
Always remember this friends.
Quality services or products will last longer and will give you a very outstanding dignity from the present and in the future to come.

Not worth even half the price!
They don't tell you about the Pro version that you need to pay extra for. The standard version is useless and pro version isn't much better. Very basic with a small selection of voices. You can't make many adjustments to the speed, tone or pronouncation. Murf.ai is far superior to this
