The trip was well-organized and well-paced. The guides, especially in Bariloche, were excellent! They were able to pivot and provide an alternative hike/activity when the original first-day hiking trail was closed due to rain the previous day.
The hotels were well-situated and comfortable.

My family of four that includes two teenagers had a wonderful time in the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco. Southern Explorations coordinated everything perfectly allowing us to just have fun. Jose Luis was an incredible guide with an enormous depth and breadth of knowledge about Inca culture, architecture and the surrounding environment, flora, fauna as well as life in general in Peru. Really amazing once in a lifetime trip!!!!

Everything either met or exceeded our expectations. The excursions we booked from the Hotel Los Torres were wonderful, and often, we had private or almost private guided experiences. The food and lodgings were great. The cruise through the Chilean Fjords on the Skorpios III was terrific - great itinerary and glacial viewing, very attentive and friendly service and good food. We had a very fun and enjoyable trip.

Thanks to Southern Explorations we had a fantastic Patagonia experience. Everything from the transportation arrangements, accommodations, and guides were perfect. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful full of good stories and information that made the experience all the more satisfying.

Eric, listened to where I wanted to go and what I wanted to experience and set up all the arrangements which were professionally executed with loving care.
After we arrived in Quito, we had 7 flights before we left Santiago to go back to the USA. Southern Exploration set them all up with transfers and hotels as well as an Amazon cruise, the lakes crossing in Patagonia from Argentina to Chile and finally excursions around Puerto Montt.
Eric never tired of my endless questions and gladly changed things as requested. He even checked in about 1/2 way through our itinerary to see if all was well.The accounting staff is totally squared away, too.I can only say good things about the total operations of Southern Exploration. You will be very, very pleased if you use them. They are still the first class tour company my friends and I have used starting in 2008.

This was so well organized it was unbelievable! The Galapagos is a must see! I feel that it would be hard to beat this trip! And southern explorations!

Great choices of hotel and restaurant, great guide and driver (shout out to Andy and Jose!) , and a thoughtfully planned itinerary.... so convenient and luxurious to be met at the airports, taken to the hotel, etc.

Just such a beautifully planned trip -- comfortable and rugged, just the right amount of time in each location, and the guides were incredibly thoughtful, charming and knowledgable.

Southern Explorations planned an amazing trip for us!! Jonathan listened to what we wanted and made an exceptional itinerary. Everything went flawlessly! Pickups were prompt, the service at all the lodges was terrific, the choice of locations and lodges were perfect! Our guides were great, particularly Victor at Arenal. We were on the go practically every minute, tiring, but exhilarating! Ziplining, canyoneering, snorkeling, hiking, rafting, what a variety! Nayara upgraded us to a Rainforest Pool Villa, gorgeous, we think the bathroom alone was about 350 square feet! Definitely have to be hearty and adventurous for this itinerary, but we were up to the challenge and did great! Second Southern Explorations trip and would use them again for sure!
