Southern Explorations made our journey through Patagonia very fluid. Transition from park to park & through borders & then on to the a cruise ship was seamless. Would use them again and again

Experience was beyond our expectations from start to finish! We were met at the airport and escorted to our bus transportation with our luggage seamlessly! Our boat and staff were excellent and luggage was moved to and from our staterooms with no problems. SE took us through the Quito airport on our departure day also! Only let us go once everyone was through security and on their way. Our guide and hotel in Quito were incredible! Old town tour and gondola ride great! Wonderful trip!

Working with Jonathan on our trip to Costa Rica was a great experience-he listened to our interests and customized a perfect itinerary that was fun, adventurous and paced out well. He was also responsive, resourceful and transparent. The trip was very smooth with no glitches and we also found the SE App helpful while travelling. Our local tour guide Juan Carlos was amazing and we learned so much about the country and saw so much that we would not have seen if we rented a car and planned our own trip. Pura Vida!

Our trip was everything we could have wanted and more. Jonathan set us up in wonderful hotels and booked us everything we wanted to see or do every day we were in Peru. Our guide Jose was incredibly knowledgeable and always went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time.

Outside of Peru, our trip to Antarctica was truly outstanding. Deanna knocked it out of the park. The staff and guides on the Ushuaia were so friendly, helpful, and informative that I can't imagine a better trip. All of our time on the ship and out on excursions to see the sights was unforgettable.

Southern Explorations made our Patagonia dreams come true! From the very first call, the amazing folks at Southern Explorations made sure that they understood what we wanted and then got to work putting all the pieces of our amazing adventure in place! They booked great hotels, airport transfers, guides, and coordinated all the many many moving parts to get us to Rio Futaleufu and our amazing Patagonian adventure!!!! The itinerary was exactly what I requested. The company made several recommendations regarding details and suggested experiences based on what we told them we were most interested in. The logistics - transports, pickups, airline flights - were all taken care of without any glitches. The guides were very knowledgable, friendly and interesting. They all showed so much passion for the places we visited. The hotels were very high quality. We did not have any negative experiences in the 2.5 weeks of our trip.

We have just returned from a 3 week trip to Argentinian Patagonia, Torres del Paine, and Easter Island. Eric B and the team at Southern Explorations did an AMAZING job organizing this trip. He and his team were:

To say thank you falls far short of how much we appreciate the incredible trip you (Southern Exploration, Justin Laycob and Jonathan Borgida) planned for us! From the start your detailed planning and timely communication in addition to being readily available by phone to discuss details and changes were appreciated. We had a two-part trip, starting with a 9-day rafting trip in Patagonia (Futaleufú, Chile) followed by a 16-day trip to Argentina and Uruguay.

The 9-day rafting trip in Patagonia (Futaleufú, Chile) was one the most incredible trips, we have ever experienced. The actual transportation (2 flights, bus ride, multiple transfer to hotels and airports, hotel accommodation) was coordinated without any problems or issues. At each point of transfer, we werer met with guides who were prepared, informative and very kind. The Camp at Futaleufu (Bio Bio River Expeditions) was amazing. The entire staff was some of the nicest and kindest group of guides one could wish for in a trip. The Camp staff emphasized a memorable and personalized experience with focus on safety. The rafting trips, fishing experience, hiking, horseback riding, were based on the participants desire on daily basis. The daily rafting expeditions were exciting and exhilarating while maintaining safety, depending on river conditions.
The Food was delicious, fresh prepared daily and available all day. We were treated to amazing local and traditional cuisine with great variety. There were many different options for guest with special dietary needs.
The staff were personable, friendly, kind and warm. We felt like we had known them for years, which made it very difficult to say goodbye. They made everyone feel welcomed and paid attention to different guest needs and wishes.

The second part of the trip for us was an amazing journey to Mendoza, Buenos Aires, Monte Video, Cabo Polonia and Jose Ignacio. The attention to details was evident in every aspect of the itinerary. From the incredible destinations, amazingly stunning locations to the wonderful hidden treasure of hotels and inns they selected, which made our trip truly unforgettable. We are so grateful for your knowledge and insight of the countries we visited!
Additionally, every pickup and drop off was timely and without any problems! All the guides and tours were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and personable! We enjoyed meeting all the guides and learned a great deal from them! They added a dimension to our experience and knowledge of the history, culture and local flavor.
The timetable and itinerary were efficient and yet flexible, which allowed us to enjoy the sites and cuisines of each city without wasting time or feeling rushed!
