Glad I found Solar Maintenance and Repair, I thought my solar inverter had failed, they came the next day to check the system out, found the inverter had failed, they had a replacement one in their van, and fitted it in about 45 minutes also has a 10 year warranty. Very good value as well. They are at the top of my list if I need anything else.

Scam calls regarding Solar panels are an everyday occurrence. So it is great to deal with a good professional company. Their communication was clear. They set the correct expectations and pricing was very transparent. They turned up on time and did the work that was needed quickly. Would definitely recommend them.

Error message on inverter so requested a maintenance visit. Engineer spent less than 30minutes and told us the inverter was broken and we needed a replacement. Quoted £1500 for installation of an inverter that he said would take 30minutes - when we checked the price for the unit online it is possible to purchase the unit for £400. We asked for another company to quote who sent their engineer and established that the inverter is working but the issue is with the wiring on the roof - they have managed to get 1/2 our system working again via the supposed “broken inverter”. We were therefore charged for the wrong information during the maintenance appointment and nearly overcharged for a unit that we do not need. Would not use this company again.

The good thing was that the staff very quickly identified the fault with our solar panel system and advised me on the best option to remedy it.
A second visit was necessary in order to make repairs and the staff members were very polite and professional. They worked quietly and cleanly and once completed they briefed me on the new aspects of the system and left me confident that everything was functioning as it should.

Mo the engineer was very informative showing me what was working correctly and what wasn't. Turns out the inverter needed replacing after 11 years of service. I was offered different options to either replace the inverter only or take out a plan covering the entire system for the next 10 year's. I decided to go with the inverter replacement only at this point and see how things go from there. I thought the inverter was a little on the expensive side after checking online how much other companies charge but the engineer was there and it needed doing so just went with it. Just keeping an eye on the feedin tarrif monitor now to see if the inverter is generating power for the grid.

Steve was very knowledgeable and hopefully the problem has been sorted out.
