After years of dealing with inefficient solar companies SMAR came to my rescue. The problems were quickly identified and nothing was too much trouble. Scaffolding organised in double quick time and job completed professionally and efficiently. Staff polite and a pleasure to have in my home. Solar panels and battery now working properly for the first time in years. Thank you SMAR would thoroughly recommend this company.

The initial inspection and work were carried out by friendly, professional operatives who turned up on time and explained things so that I could understand them.

Told me panels had iso fault and inverter may have a fault. New inverter fitted by myself after and full system is working fine. This company was going to charge me £3500+ and I sorted it for much less. Felt like this company played on customer ignorance, not good.

Website states that company undertakes maintenance on Solar Thermal Systems. I therefore e-mailed with a request for a service call. After 10 days, no reply received and when I called to chase, was told that company no longer deals with thermal systems.

I found this company to be extremely helpful and professional, with good communication and competitive prices. Their engineer Dan arrived promptly and did an excellent job replacing my solar inverter in the attic; as a disabled person, I was particularly impressed by his kindness and understanding of my situation and the trouble he took to make his visit as trouble-free for me as possible.

I managed to get my app working when I had a visit to sort it out. So now I'm back online. I was worried before but all sorted now

Firstly rang back within 24 hours to discuss the service. Arranged for an appointment easily and engineer or technician turn up on time which was a novelty. Left to review system and diagnosis our problem straight away. Firm carries all types of replacement equipment out to each call and having possible cost on initial contact the job was fixed and paid for within 1.5 hours. Gent who came was polite, friendly and informed me of everything being done and what my options for the future. No hard sales tactics took what I said without any further pressure. Would recommend them to anyone who as a solar system.

On the whole Solar Maintenance & Repairs did a really speedy good job of installing a new inverter to replace our broken one, and we are now making money again. The engineer was friendly & seemed to know what he was talking about, and did a tidy job of installing the new inverter. The issues that I have is that the new inverter can be managed by an mobile app or online, but I was not told this before the engineer left (I found out when I registered the invertor on Fox ESS site). Also being shown this and how to use the app/web page would be a better service after inverter installed. However after reading some of other reviews I am now thinking I was sold a new inverter at a greatly inflated price that I also may not have needed.

Punctual,friendly and got my inverter changed and running in no time.
Checked the health of all the connections and panels too.
So glad I found them on line after calling around for ages.

The company responded very quickly to our call to fix our solar inverter which had stopped working. David & Henry and Louis the engineers were excellent, giving clear information about replacing the inverter, welcomingly open about pros and cons and very patient helping us with App installation, solving a glitch straight away.
The office, however, became a different matter in that our maintenance contract and warranty did not arrive as promised and we had to wait 2 weeks for the App to be functioning properly so we could keep track of generated energy peaks - and manage our usage.
The admin team might usefully consider having the engineers say how long before the App is available and what happens for customers needing assistance, ensure contracts and guarantees are emailed asap and practice active listening when customers do present issues.
This feedback is intended to be helpful in improving SMAR service and I hope will be received as such.

The engineer was extremely helpful and competent .He gave me good advice and was very pleasant .

A breath of fresh air compared to our experience with other solar companies, installation was scheduled, happened on time with experienced technicians. The whole installation was done quickly with no fuss. And later when we did have a small problem, the company answered the call, scheduled a technician and resolved the problem with no fuss. We are happy to recommend this company.
