Purchased 75 amp Gel batteries and they have exceeded my expectations. Previously was able to get around 18 miles on my scooter but now getting around 25 miles with increased power on hills. Will definitely purchase from this company again.

Called SLK customer service as I had a problem with my mobility scooter batteries, they could not have been more helpful, friendly and courteous.
Replacements received within 48hrs.

Purchased some mobility batteries recently and couldn’t be happier. The batteries are great quality, but what really stood out was the excellent customer service. Friendly, helpful, and kept me updated every step of the way. Would definitely recommend and buy from them again!
I bought a pair of batteries to replace my 6 yes 6 year old batteries and they worked well to start with.unfortunately one month after the warranty ran out they failed,like all the other people with complaints slk came up with quote, you failed to charge them correctly. I was an engineer for 50 years and i think I know how to look after batteries. They will not accept the fact that batteries can be dud. My advice is to steer clear of slk, ok they're competitive but it's not reason to sell rubbish. My neighbour bought his buggy 5 years ago he uses it 7 days a week, when asked about charging he said oh when the light starts flashing.
We purchased two 12V 36Ah SLK batteries to replace the batteries that had been in our scooter for over five years. We bought these batteries on July 29, 2024, and they were shipped very quickly; however, that is the only positive aspect of our experience with this company.
The batteries were installed in August 2024 and worked well after a full charge. They have only been used once a week, and sometimes we even missed a week of use, so the usage has not been heavy.
However, eight months later, the batteries are no longer able to hold a full charge. We have tried two different chargers to confirm the issue. When used, the batteries only last about 15 minutes with light use.
This performance is disappointing, especially considering our previous batteries lasted over five years. When we contacted SLK, we were honest and mentioned we sometimes charged every other week as the scooter did not get used much. We were informed that not charging the batteries after every single use voids the warranty. This information was never provided to us when we made our purchase, nor was it included in the email receipt or in the packaging with the batteries.
Given that this is a company selling mobility products, they seem to have little regard for their customers. Stephen Knell has replied to my emails but has never addressed me by name and shows no concern about the batteries' poor performance. One response stated,
“Hello,
Unfortunately nt charging the batteries correctky would cause damage and this would be the reason for them not lasting.
This would be the same with any batetries. It is very important you look after them and charge them correctly.”
This response reflects a lack of customer care, with rushed replies and spelling mistakes.
I cannot recommend this company and strongly urge potential customers to consider other options for better products and a company that values customer service and provides empathy to their paying customers.
I have no doubt that ‘caring’ Stephen Knell will reply to this review stating his only comeback after every email to him. This being that because we did not charge after every single use, (god forbid we miss a charge after only 10 minutes of use), this voids the warranty.

I ordered batteries for my mobility scooter in your store on eBay 3 times over 1.5 years, the last time in October 2024, the batteries lasted for 3 months (the seller gives a one-year warranty for them). When I asked about the warranty, I was firstly accused of not studying the attached instructions (which were not in the box with the batteries at all, as well as a warranty card), improperly charging the batteries and ruining them, accordingly, no warranty is provided, secondly, the seller slk mobility blocked me on eBay. I ordered SLK Gel Platinum batteries in January 2025 directly on the website of the company slk mobility, having previously clarified how fresh the batteries were, and what would be in the box - instructions, warranty card, etc. They sent me batteries made in July 2023, there were no documents in the box, except for a form for tax exemption. When I asked about the quality of the goods, I was accused of lying once again, saying that all the papers were presented, and roughly speaking, they sent me away. So, the company SLC Mobility does not care about its customers at all. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Update: The seller once again tries to prove that there should be instructions with the batteries, but they were not in any of the packages, and I ordered them 3 times in a year and a half. Probably, if the batteries were of high quality, they would last longer than 3-4 months. Of course, it is much easier for the seller to accuse the buyer of improper use than to admit the fact that he sells outright rubbish. I carefully studied all the positive reviews and came to the conclusion that buyers mainly write reviews immediately upon receiving the goods and evaluate the delivery time, and not the quality of the goods, which cannot be assessed immediately, it takes time to understand how high-quality the goods you were sent are. My initial review of the company remains the same, I just added a few details. I hope that my experience will be useful for buyers, and I wish the seller to test the quality of his products on himself.

I ordered the battery's that I needed for my rascal frontier scooter and I had them within 48hours. I would recommend to anyone who wants to buy batteries for their mobility scooter.

I purchased two SLK Platinum 100ah batteries which initally gave my mobility scooter a range of 33.5 miles but after only 38 days that deteriorated to a meagre 17.3 miles - only 3 miles more than the 3 year old 75ah ones they replaced!
NO PROBLEM
The failing batteries were collected for testing and replacements promptly delivered. GREAT! Except they proved even worse - delivering only 25.9 miles which fell to 14.7 miles after 32 days.
The Consumer Right Act 2015 states that if a fault developes wthin the first six month of purchase the retailer has one opportunity to repair or replace the faulty goods, after which you are entitled to a full refund and you do not need to accept further repair or replacement.
SLK MOBILITY does not comply voluntarily to UK Trading Law and insisted that the batteries would be replaced by the manufacturer if found to be faulty! But UK Trading Law states that the buyer's contract is with the retailer and it is their resposibility to resolve issues.
So, it is now down to making an Amazon Complaint and making Section 75 Claim against my credit card company as necessary.
SLK Mobility have numerous negative reviews but their prices are so competitive I decided to take the risk. However, I did take the precaution of keepig a detailed record of Charge Cycles and Mileage Returns backed up with photographs of Mileometer and Battery Percentage readings as evidence. It's just as well I did as SLK Platinum batterries are clearly not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose and certainly not as described on their web site, as required by UK Trading Law.
BE WARNED AND STEER CLEAR OF SLK MOBILITY - unless, like me, you have a comprehensive understanding of conumer rights and LOVE a good fight!!
UPDATE:
The reply below from SLK Mobility proves they do not understand UK Trading Law nor abide by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They have already collected, tested and replaced cowboy produced batteries with equally useless trash - and are now legally obliged to give me a full refund. They only have one opportunity to repair or replace goods that prove faulty within six months of purchase after which I am entitled a full refund without any deductions.
I suspect their reply is an automated response as it does not remotely adress my complaint.
BE AWARE OF RIP OFF MEARCHANTS!!!!!!

Amazon's telephone call back facility is amazing - everytime I've used it they've called me within a minute or two! So far it looks like I won't need to claim via Section 75 as Amazon seems set to refund within seven days ........ but we'll wait and see ...... will keep you posted with next update to the updates!!!??

1 KNOW YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS
2 DON'T BE FOBBED OFF BY COWBOY COMPANIES
3 ALWAYS PAY BY CREDIT CARD SO YOU HAVE A LAST RESORT IN SECTION 75 CLAIMS
4 RESPECT AMAZON. I HAVE HAD MANY TRADER DISPUTES, BUT AMAZON HAS ALWAYS RESOLVED ISSUES.
There are citisims about Amazon killing off our High Streets, but I have to say, I have often lost money there, but Amazon has always been fair with me.

I have ordered batteries and recently a charger from SLK and have always received excellent service and fast delivery on time.
Once I had a new battery that didn't seem correct I was asked to return it for testing and received a reply stating yes the battery was indeed faulty and was replaced immediately.
Would thoroughly recommend this company.

I needed new batteries for my mobility scooter and ordered via Amazon however I ordered the wrong size of batteries. SLK mobility were very helpful and advised me on how to return the batteries to them. I ordered my replacement batteries directly from them and they arrived within a few days. My refund for the returned batteries was sent to my account very promptly. They were helpful professional and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this company

Bought my second set of batteries from SLK as I had no problems with the first set , unfortunately the 2nd set barely got me home on my first journey (they were fully charged over night before 1st use) . Charged again when I got home , then checked they were charged before next journey, didn't get me home , tried calling SLK No joy, charged batteries again overnight had to be recovered. Decided to email after many failed attempts to call, left a voice messages . Finally had an email back to be told cos I only charged the batteries 3 times I'd damaged them as they need to be charged 15 times to reach their optimum performance, I said my previous batteries were fine for 2 years so it must be a fault with the new ones , they kept telling me I had caused the cell damage . New batteries fully charged should get me into town and back again (less than 3 miles) SLK were not having any of it , I had the batteries tested and the failed but SLK said of course they failed cos " I " had caused cell damage , despite me telling them my last SLK batteries were fine they wouldn't accept it was more than likely a manufacturing fault . As I paid through PayPal I raised a dispute through them but they wouldn't honour my dispute and closed my case today , I'm so angry but I guess I will have to put this down to experience. In the future I will read the reviews on anything I purchase online . I see SLK have replied and as I said in my emails THE BATTERIES WERE CHARGED AS PER INSTRUCTIONS , I only managed 3 uses because the batteries failed , but SLK aren't listening.
