With that volume, occasional operational issues can occur under normal circumstances. What is not normal is the inaccurate and misleading narrative currently reflected on our Trustpilot page. The current reviews do not reflect our business, our ethics, or our 10-year track record. They are the result of a documented competitive attack. We have been actively working with Trustpilot to address this ongoing reputational harm. However, the platform’s response has been insufficient. The same gaps in policy and enforcement that allowed this exploitation to occur continue to allow it to persist. As a result, the original harm is being extended — long after the underlying issue has been resolved. While we are shipping orders on time and fulfilling all customer obligations, the false narrative has created unnecessary customer concern. This has led to increased sensitivity around routine shipping variables, escalated interactions for our Care team, and additional operational strain as we manually review patterns of inauthentic activity across platforms. This is not a reflection of our business. It is a consequence of platform failure. The continued visibility of inaccurate and manipulated reviews is materially harming our company and misrepresenting who we are. It also impacts customers directly — creating confusion and undermining trust where it should not. We have been in business for a decade. Do not order from these guys!!

Great product but no customer service whatsoever. Do not give them your money you will not see it/the products!

I placed order #157879 back in July/August 2023 (valued approx AUD$150 including shipping) and in September 2023 asked where it was at - I was told by their customer service team via email that I would receive either a refund or the goods would ship by end of September.

That’s the last I heard from them despite multiple emails from me to the customer service email address throughout 2023 and 2024, all of which have been completely ignored. I have not received a refund either.

I realise they had some legal issues but back in Jan 2024 there was an online video from the owner apologising and promising that all was now resolved and all orders would be shipped. It was clearly BS, or there are other problems they are not telling us about.

Bummer

Bummer - I really like this product... Ordered a cap for my mom's birthday almost 2 months ago. It still hasn't shipped and I've received zero responses to my emails inquiring about my order. Meanwhile, the website boasts that orders ship within 48 hours. This company is clearly having a difficult time functioning. Please stop accepting orders if you are unable to fulfill them!

Don't order a shower cap from this company

Like so many other people writing here, I am waiting (and waiting) for shhhowercap to send me the cap I ordered months ago. Like so many other people here, i am constantly getting emails telling me how wonderful their product is, but no replies to my emails to them.

Two years ago I would have given this company five stars (my daughter loves the shower cap I bought her). Now I wish I could give them no stars.

Terrible service and can not get the product

I tried to order about a year ago from Shhhower cap because I have an older one that needs replacing. After months of not receiving my order I finally received a refund.
Recently I thought I’d try again because I really like the product and thought all the stock and shipping issues from Covid would be resolved. I was wrong.
The website advertises that orders will ship within 3 business days, or if it hasn’t shipped in 30 days an automatic refund will be issued. Neither of these scenarios happened for me.
I contacted customer service twice and specifically asked they look into my specific order. I only received generalized and auto-generated responses. Finally I had to request a refund. I did receive my refund.
I will never order from this company again and advise others against it. They have an excellent product, but terrible customer service.

Horrible company

I ordered a shower cap from their website in November of 2020, order # SHHH_299697. Item never received, but the product in the colorway I ordered was continually available to order on their website for all these years since. And after years of back and forth emails in which the company lied about shipping the product to me or sending a refund, they finally sent me a check for a partial refund which I received in January of 2025. The refund is short $6. They offered to send me the product, finally, as well but I declined.

How to report this company? Do not buy from them, do not trust them, do not give them your money

Scam. I order a shower cap in August 2023 and I'm still waiting for it. I wrote to customer service multiple times to request updates, updates, updates, and a refund only to get their automatic response each and every time "Due to high volume of tickets and inquiries, it may take us a bit longer than usual to respond". Isn't 10 months plenty of time to get back to your customers letting them know the company is a scam, they will never receive the product they ordered, and they will never get their money back?!
(In the mean time they make sure to keep emailing you with their scam offers.)

Back in 2020 I had ordered a shower cap from them, it was delivered very quickly and I loved it. Things have changed I suppose. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, DO NOT TRUST THEM, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.



Note about their reply below “We're excited to get to the bottom of your experience and make it right by you!”, I never heard back from them and still haven’t received my money back.

I ordered 3 Shhhower caps but got only 1

Buyer beware! I ordered 3 Shhhower caps 2 years ago and have received only 1 and that single cap was after emailing and spending to the CEO. I think they have a great product but customer service and fulfillment needs work. FYI they charge you as soon as you place the order, NOT when the product is shipped.

Buyer Beware - Customer Service Nonexistent

I've purchased several shower caps from this company over the past eight years and really liked the quality. Last year, I purchased another one and it fell apart relatively quickly. I reached out to customer service in December, followed up in January and February with no response. I wrote a review in March and they responded, asking me to reach out via email or IG with my information so they could send me another shower cap. I reached out on both platforms, received a response on IG a few weeks later. The CEO/Founder left a voice memo saying a new shower cap would be sent to me. As requested, I provided my info (again). After not hearing anything, I followed up and was asked to fill out information on their returns page, which I did. It did not work so they said they would process it themselves. I follow up a couple weeks later and they tell me they can't actually help me and to reach out via email to their customer service team (who hasn't responded to a single email I sent since December). I convey this and am told they're caught up and will respond. I send an email and receive no response back and after following up with the social team on IG several times, they now tell me they are not customer service and I need to reach out via email. When I remind them their CEO promised a new shower cap would be sent, they tell me to stop mentioning her name to them. The CEO then leaves me another voice memo saying she doesn't know where the order is, that she would ask in her morning meeting and asked me to send a voice memo because she can't remember my exact situation. I leave a memo, mentioning dates and that I've tried to reach out to customer service via email multiple times, with no response. She then leaves a voice memo, doesn't acknowledge the fact that this has been going on for six months with no resolution or that her team hasn't responded via email (which is their preferred method of customer service communication). Instead, SHE ACCUSED ME OF LYING AND WORKING WITH A COMPETITOR, TELLING ME TO NOT CONTACT THEM AGAIN! The social team added a sarcastic, "Nice working with you!" message after the rude voice memo. I have never experienced such horrendous/rude customer service. I paid $45 for a defective shower cap - what a waste of my time and money.

Update 2/11/2025:
Shhhowercap responded to my review on 1/6/2025 indicating they implemented a new team and were looking forward to making this issue right, stating that customer service was their number one priority. They requested more information from me, which I provided within 24 hours. It's been over one month and I have not heard a word from them, leading me to believe their response to my review was only written create a positive perception for those reading reviews.

A year later I still haven't received my order

I placed an order in June 2023. I wrote to customer service and received a reply that said my order had shipped (but with no updated tracking). Later that summer I received a bulk email to their customers, saying that they were struggling to fulfill their orders due to some internal errors, to please be patient, and consider giving them a good review somewhere. I finally received an order in April 2024-- but it was not what I had ordered. I have written to customer service twice since April 2024 requesting my actual product or a refund, and have never received a reply. The lack of customer service is abysmal. I'll never buy from them again.

Complete total utter immense…

Complete total utter immense disappointment. Yes the shower cap is nice. But the DRAMA it took for me to receive it was next level ridiculous!! I would have honestly bought more and then bought them as gifts for friends and family but the experience was so awful, I can’t justify ordering more or recommending them to anyone. If I found in a store I might buy one but otherwise, hard pass. I ordered 2 and the first one took over 6 mouths and many emails and threats of escalation and posted reviews complaining. The second one never came after over a YEAR. My account was updated as returned/credited but I never received a credit and clearly no shower cap. Many more emails resulted on no response or empty promises to get back to me “soon”. I ONLY received a response requesting a Zelle for refund AFTER I submitted a claim to the NY Attorney General which included documentation detailing how I’d been defrauded of a product I’d paid for over 16 months prior. Talk about ABSURD and PATHETIC customer service!! I’m a ridiculously loyal customer and refer people to my favorite products and service providers routinely because I believe in supporting good people and products. Create a product I love and provide good service, I’ll tell everyone about you. The same goes for a company that screws me over. I found MANY reviews complaining of the same issues I’d experienced so buyer beware! BTW to SHHHOWERCAP… unhappy customers share their story to 10x that of happy customers. I tell EVERYONE this story about my experience. Next time, grab a USPS BOX and put the shower cap in it and move on. That would have been the smart play here… even better… apologize profusely, tell me how you corrected the problem and send me a few caps to share with my friends! You did the BARE MINIMUM despite how seriously aggrieved I was from this experience. Being cheap never works in your favor.

We hope once you learn more about the true story that you're able to have understanding and empathy for the situation we survived and accept our sincerest apologies for the delays and confusion on certain orders (yours being one of them) while we were navigating the ongoing complications.

We're happy to be on the other side of it now as a brand and company and yes, agree that it was RIDICULOUS (!!!) and, that we should give you whatever you'd like in order to maintain a positive loyal customer on the other side of this!

We're sorry that we disappointed you, truly. But, we can assure you that your satisfied fulfillment had nothing to do with the escalation - in fact as a Small Business those types of things made the situation harder to manage during this challenging time. We worked day and night to overcome this and no escalation served as prioritization for one impacted customer over another. We love and respect all of our customers equally and the timing of that is just a coincidence as we worked diligently to satisfy everyone.

We hear your frustration and understand where it comes from; and want to do everythhhing we can to make you happy! Sometimes, the most upset customers can turn into our most loyal future fans! And, that will be our goal for you after this experience.

We're really glad, ultimately, that you *like* the innovative best in class patented product and would be open to repurchasing from our major retailers because that brand and product love is what we've always had -- and, will continue to -- now that this nightmare is behind us.

Almost 2 years ago I ordered 2…

Almost 2 years ago I ordered 2 showercaps. I never received them and was initially given excuses for the delay in shipping. I have repeatedly written, asking for them or a refund. I still haven’t received them & was finally driven to ask the Better Business Bureau to intervene. They sent a letter to the business & did not get a reply.
I’m still waiting …

I’d actually leave negative stars if I could. I placed an order with you over a year ago, two caps… never got them. You acknowledged that you were backed up and that I’d receive them, never did. I reached out again, you said I’d receive them and a full refund, never received anything. Now, I’ve reached out several more times and you don’t even respond anymore! Everything about your company is terrible. You took my money and you lie! The order number is #SHHH_308095 I can also send you copies of our back and forth conversations about this order.

Scam!

My order never shipped. I asked for a refund and they say they gave me the refund, but it never showed up in my bank or credit card statement. Customer service then stopped responding to my emails.

I totally love Shhhower cap, I’ve had my shower cap for too many years and it has held up so well. It’s great quality and it holds all your hair perfectly, keeping it dry and the prints are sooo cute. Great purchase.
