Great cap, terrible customer service
I want to start by saying that Shhhowercap makes a great product. I’ve used one for years and love it. But ordering a new one has not been a good experience.
I ordered a new Shhhowercap on January 16, 2025. Within a week or two after placing my order, they took their website down. I was trying to replace a shhhowercap I bought a few years earlier that I loved but had ripped. I needed a replacement quickly. When I saw that it hadn’t been shipped by January 29 I sent an email. I was worried they were going out of business. I asked to either have my order shipped or please cancel and refund my money.
Someone responded with the following:
“Hello Tiffany,
I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience you're facing with your order, especially since you're in need of a replacement quickly. I checked the details and, unfortunately, your order #SHHH_315683 hasn't been shipped yet.
To address this promptly, I'll escalate your request to ensure our team looks into why there has been a delay and to explore possible solutions, including the options you've requested. They will do their best to provide you with a resolution as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding in the meantime. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to let me know! 😊”

Now, 3 months later after ordering I still haven’t received my order and there was no further communication. I sent an email March 20, 2025 and I got a wishy washy boiler plate response.
I don’t know what else to do now other than make this complaint. $50 is not cheap. I sympathize that this company is woman owned and founded, but they should not be taking orders they can’t fulfill. I personally know someone whose daughter was an advisor to the company for 7 years.
I love my old Shhhowercap. I want to receive it. But if it can’t be shipped in a timely manner I need a refund. I will be happy to edit this review when the issue is resolved.
Update (response to Shhhowercap reply): There is nothing suspicious about me just wanting the product I paid for in January. I am a real person with no reason to write a review other than I’d like to receive my shower cap, which I stated is great. I also don’t want to harm your company, but email was not getting me anywhere. Your reply is disingenuous and doesn’t address the root problem, which is not my review.
2nd Edit (5/5/25): STILL NO SHOWER CAP, and now you’re arguing with me about who I know (or supposedly don’t) to prove I’m “suspicious.” I said I knew the mother of an advisor. Not the advisor. I’d be happy to give you their name via email, but it’s unnecessary and besides the point. And I removed the name of the competitor because you asked me to. Again, I’m not trying to harm your company. You have my name and order number and my email, in addition to my $50. You’re treating a real customer horribly and should be more focused on shipping my cap than conspiracy theories.

I purchased my first cap in 2020 and have since enjoyed giving these beautiful, long-lasting, well-fitting for any length hair, waterproof caps as gifts.
Just received my newest order for two caps last week along with a lovely handwritten note from a specific individual and the Team for being a steady customer and being patient as there was a delay with my order. It was worth the wait.
I highly recommend Shhhowercap for the product, designs, and fantastic customer support!

Well worth the wait
I had my previous Shhhowercap for over 7 years before I finally decided it was time for an upgrade. I know the company has been going through some stuff behind the scenes, but I'm so glad they've finally restocked and are back up and running. My new cap was shipped quickly, and came with a lovely handwritten note. If you've been waiting for them to come back, please give them a chance! Their products are SO worth the wait.

Everyone who is interested in this product PLEASE READ THIS: I had initially posted a negative review on this site expressing my frustration with the company, and how I had waited almost 3 weeks for my product. After reading the numerous reviews on this site, I believed my frustration was valid, and that the company was scamming people. It turns out that is absolutely not the case. The founder of SHHHOWERCAP reached out to me personally to explain the incredibly unfortunate situation she is in. A competitor has been attacking their company and disrupting their operations. You all should go to the FAQ page on their site; it explains everything. I must stress this point. The reviews here on TRUST PILOT IN NO WAY ACCURATELY REFLECT THE STANDARDS OF PRACTICE OF THIS COMPANY. PLEASE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THIS COMPANY. I already made a second purchase, and however long it takes for my product to arrive, that is ok, as long as this company is recovering from these countless attacks from competitors. Please take the negative reviews on trust pilot with a grain of salt. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these were fake. Thank you for reaching out to me, and best of luck in your fight!

DAY 1 CUSTOMER - JUST AS OBSESSED 10 YRS LATER
I have been a shhhowercap user since day1! After meeting Jackie at her very first trade show, I fell in love with this product. It’s without a doubt my most essential hair care item next to the hair dryer. There is no comparison, no cap comes close to the way the shhhowercap wears and feels! The attention to detail in its construction makes the shhhowercap sleek and functional, but the turban design and seasonal patterns make it chic and fashionable. I will forever rave about this product!!! I cannot recommend it enough!

Awful customer service!
I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing from this company because as many have said before, the customer service is awful.
I ordered a Shhhowercap, and for two years (!!!) they took my money but never sent the product. Instead, I was met with a never-ending, ever-changing, excuses as to why my order wasn’t shipping.
I sent over 25 emails requesting a cancellation and refund, only to receive the same canned response that their "team was working on it" or they would just not write me back.
I resorted to commenting on their social media—because that seemed to be the only way to get their attention. They insisted I DM them, but Instead of resolving the issue over DM, they blocked me and deleted negative comments.
I can assure you that I am a real person and a real customer, and I have receipts.
It took me two years to get my money back, and I wouldn’t wish that experience on anyone.

Love the product!
I have had my original shower cap for eight years finally needed to replace it. We had some issues getting it out, but the customer service has been fantastic. I even spoke to the owner and she was wonderful. They worked very hard to get my order correct and get it out to me.

Same here as others....HORRIBLE customer service. Ordered two expensive shower caps on November 30, 2024. for Christmas presents for my daughters. Received ONE shower cap in an envelope around December 9. OF course the packing slip said "2". So now Shhhowercap can just blame me for stealing one and trying to get another free one.
There is NO way for me to prove there was only one in the envelope. I would have had to video myself opening it, which is absurd to do each time you receive something you order. Emailed 11 times. ELEVEN. TWICE received the "we're sorry...we'll forward to the appropriate team and get back to you as soon as possible.." emails (at least I got a response, unlike some other reviewers). So far, (as of January 18, 2025) NOBODY besides that automatic reply has reached out. I do like the product, and I don't think the company is a scam. I DO think it is understaffed, understocked and mismanaged. Not sure how long they will be able to stay in business trying to sell $49 shower caps with this POOR customer service. So far, I have one Foxy shower cap that cost me $83.05!!! Order #SHHH_315138

Ordered 12/12/24 for a Christmas gift
Ordered 12/12/24 for a Christmas gift, contacted customer service on 12/19 and told they were backlogged and would ship by 12/31. I asked for a refund and last I heard from them. Made a dispute with PayPal and was declined due to seller response which I can't find out what it was. Somewhere they stated the order was cancelled but I'm still out my money and no cap received. Do not buy from this company it is a total scam and ripoff.

Wish I'd read the recent reviews first
I have previously ordered from this company and really liked the product. My most recent experience has been horrendous. Ordered 2 shower caps in November for Christmas presents. One email from company in mid-December, in response to my query about whether or not the item had been shipped, suggesting I escalate it with them if I didn't receive the goods within another 10 days. Two more emails to the company, no response. Ended up buying a handbag for my favourite cousin instead. I'd really like a refund but I'm assuming I'll get diddly-squat from that request too.
Edit - In response to the supplier responding to this review, I have been in contact about this matter. And I’m not a bot or a viral attack on your IP.
Edit - I’ve even tried contacting the company via linked in. They’re now suggesting the order has been fulfilled (not backed up by their own order tracking systems or a shower cap appearing at my house). Can’t claim on the shipping protection because the shipping protection company noted that it has not been shipped.
(Further Edit in response to seller’s offer to respond here with an update) As per my recent email to the seller, the “reshipped” item has apparently been delivered to a postbox somewhere in Illinois. I have not ever been a postbox in Nowhere Illinois. I am a woman in Australia. I still have no refund or any shower caps.

BEWARE purchase elsewhere
I recommend, reconsidering purchasing from this company. I recently received 2 shower caps, USED + UNBOXED. Arrived in a flat envelope! I reached out and submitted a claim to request return…it has been days, no one answers their phones, and no return label has been issued, they claim it’s under review. WHAT REVIEW. PLEASE look at other negative reviews, we cannot all be wrong! A hygiene issue as well as poor business practice.

Product never received and no way to contact them Update: I found a phone number online and was able to get through and order was sent. Arrived in plain flat envelope, no box or wrapping. Looks ok but rather flimsy.
I read a glowing review about these shower caps - expensive but the best. I placed an order and was told item was shipped on November 6, 2024 and to download the app Route to track. There is no record of shipping or tracking on this app. I have attempted to contact this company now 10 times. I have emailed customer service 4 times, each of the other options listed (ie, Press). There is no phone number on the web site but I did find one by doing a search. The phone is always busy which makes me wonder if the phone is not in service. I looked them up on Better Business Bureau and there have been hundreds of complaints. Next step is to file a formal complaint with Better Business Bureau in New York.

Terrible company
Terrible company. I made an order for last Xmas and it wasn't filled until I stopped the charges on my bank card in April. I filed for a return and refund, since I no longer needed the products. They made me send three pictures of each cap in the boxes; then I got a message that they would send an approval of my return. I never got that email. It is a scam! I spent about 30 minutes filling out their stupid return form for nothing; they never intended to return my money. They advertise being guaranteed satisfaction--not true!

I never received my 2nd order
I never received my 2nd order. Shower Cap said for months it would be shipped soon, but they just lied. This went on for months, then years. They ignored my repeated requests for a refund. EDIT: In response to you saying "we are not liars" I say you are lying about not being liars. And you must be so proud that 80% of 273+ reviews are one star.
