This is the 5th Shhowercap I have…

This is the 5th Shhowercap I have ordered, all prior caps have come in a nice packaging, except for this last one.It took nearly 2 months to receive,came in a brown envelope and the product was very cheap feeling unlike all the priors. I would never invest in this cap again or give as gifts as I have in the past. Thoroughly disappointed.

We did make a switch to default to e-commerce shipping envelopes a couple years ago like so many businesses. This helps us ship environmentally friendly and faster as we we recalibrated! But, we never got rid of our gorgeous box packaging and you always will have the option to add it at check out under "Giving this order as a gift?"

Don’t Bother

Not only did I have to wait MONTHS after placing my order to receive the product, not only did no one respond to my emails (I genuinely thought I was getting scammed), I received my products. They are SO small, I can’t get them over my head — the shower caps cut off circulation to my head. I never wear it. I didn’t even bother trying to get a refund because customer service was so unresponsive — they even shut down comments on social media. So yeah, I’ll take the L and try a different product because this was not it.

However, the hundreds of thousands of SHHHOWERCAP® out in the world, incredible reviews, and our very low return rate over the past decade validate that our expandable sizing tends to work for the majority of women!

I started two years ago trying to order…

I started two years ago trying to order a shower cap because my daughter ordered a couple. When I saw them in her home and asked about them she said they are great but took forever to get them. I tried for a year and could not even get one ordered . This year my husband ordered it as a surprise for me back in the spring. Paypal took the money and we never received the cap. He sent many emails with poor reponse and finally disputed it to paypal. Their response was that it was delivered. We have yet to receive a cap and no one responsed to my husband's last email. Now you have the nerve to keep sending me advertising your product.

If this is true, we'll re-shhhip it to you! However, what you explained is incredibly rare (and misleading) that this would happen twice over years. PayPal said it shipped than it did. We can't have that reply or resolution without submitting a valid tracking number to your address on file.

If not true, or no longer true, please remove or revise your review.

And, if your daughter ordered "a couple" please encourage her to come back to this website and leave a review on the product she says is great. Because it is! So is the brand, company, and team. <3 <3 <3 They all deserve an honest picture of the business we run on TrustPilot.

Don’t trust with your money, you won’t get your order, a very weird experience

The first time I purchased a cap, my experience was normal. I purchased another one, and didn’t receive the cap or a refund for over a year, or even a reply from customer service about my issue. Meanwhile, I was still receiving advertising emails. I pretty much gave up on it, until a year and a half later I got an email response about it (really a year and a half later!) and then months after that they sent a cap but it was just a plain cap and not what I ordered. I let them know it wasn’t what I ordered and they eventually sent another one, which was again not what I ordered. I gave up after that. I haven’t purchased any more because I don’t trust them with my money at all, I doubt that I would ever get my order.

I have been waiting since November 2022 for…

I placed an order in November 2022 for two shower caps. One arrived February 2023. I have spent the past 2 years communicating with the company. They constantly promise me it will be sent and have gone as far as to create fake tracking numbers for the missing cap that still show it sitting in a warehouse in New York. Stay away from this company. They steal your money.

This company is completely unethical and devoid of any humanity

I ordered a shower cap from this company on 7/19/25. It is now 8/2/25 and it has still not shipped. I emailed the company 6 different times and 4 emails went ignored, 2 emails someone said they’ll escalate it to the proper department, but nothing ever came of that. Now it’s been days and no one’s reached out to me. They have my money and they’ve just ghosted me completely. I paid via Venmo so I’m not even sure how to get my money back. I’m probably never going to get my money back but better believe I will spend the rest of my days letting everyone know what’s terrible business this is. And such a joke- a woman owned company is how they pride themselves- but they’re nothing but a bunch of crooks.

Pay for THREE. … Only ONE sent after MONTHS

I ordered three shower caps in January 2025. I never received a confirmation email with order number but my PayPal account WAS charged - more than $100. In March … I emailed and received a sweetly worded reply stating they understand how frustrating dissatisfaction can be and promising to fix the situation. Finally a package came with ONE shower cap. Emailed again- which resulted in requests for pictures of the package, package inserts, etc. I complied and really resent that I must prove that they screwed up AGAIN. Still more time passed and nothing happened. I emailed again and again. I found a customer service number finally and called. No human. Just a recording stating they will get back to me asap. Since I ordered, I have moved I still want two shower caps that I am due. How can a company have a great product and fail to fill orders? I have used a bit of humor in my emails to get a response, I have used pleas, I have used compliments. Nothing seems to help. I would never recommend this company. I too receive all sorts of offers to buy yet another and I have offered to accept whatever design or color is currently in stock! No response. No product being sent!

Lies lies lies

I would love to rate this product zero stars since I never received anything. I was unaware of this company’s customer service issues before I bought a “Foxy” shower cap on June 13th 2025. In fact, I was unaware of the issues until shhhowercap actually Streisand effected themselves on July 2nd when I received a promotional email from the company trying to get me to purchase a cap. I replied to the email and said I would love to try the one I had ordered and asked for an update. The AI auto reply advised me that the company has a 30 day processing time and to check their FAQ page so that’s what I did. When a shower cap company has an extensive FAQ page it should be a red flag. Their faq page even has a link to Trustpilot encouraging customers to assist them in bringing their rating up.

After receiving even more promotional emails about their product but not receiving any more updates about my order I was starting to lose hope that I would ever receive my $50 shower cap so on July 10th I initiated a dispute via PayPal’s resolution center. Shhhowercap responded in a timely manner to my dispute claiming I ordered on June 14th (lie), and my product (which they actually called a dress wtf) had already been shipped (lie). They also claimed their 30 day processing time is “clearly noted” (another lie - it’s only noted in their FAQ page. Honestly, who checks a FAQ page for a SHOWER CAP?). I followed up asking for a tracking number via PayPal’s resolution center and followed up with an email on July 10th and 11th with no response.

So that brings us to today, July 13th 2025. I escalated the issue and I am waiting for PayPal to finish their review of the case. I really just wanted what I ordered. If by some chance they really did send my cap out and I actually receive it, I plan to return to sender because of the bad taste this situation has left. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER trying to buy a product even if their store says the item you want is in stock. Just this morning I received another promotional email (even though I unsubscribed) saying they have restocked a different print. I thought about emailing them again asking if I could just have that print since it’s “back in stock,” but I’m sure they would have continued ignoring me so I didn’t even bother. I will update this review when paypal has finished their investigation into this case. I’m not holding my breath though.

Edit: November 1, 2025: I have no idea what shhhowercap is talking about in their reply below about the FAQ’s. I’ve provided additional details so trustpilot doesn’t remove my review but also my order number was SHHH_316650. Hopefully Trustpilot leaves this review up since I provided that information. Paypal ruled in my favor and issued a full refund on August 9th.

Order not shipped still since May 10th 2025

I live in Canada and made an order on May 10th for 2 shower caps. I’ve been tirelessly trying to get any information about what’s going on with my order and why it hasn’t shipped/when it’s going to be shipped and their “customer care” team responds with zero help or information about anything to help resolve this issue. This company has the absolute WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. This is coming from someone who has worked customer service for 11 years and counting. They answer (maybe if you’re lucky) ONE email every two weeks and nothing happens and nothing gets resolved. I’ve now requested a cancellation for my order before it’s too late to get a refund and am currently still waiting to hear back. Next step is filing a report with PayPal while I still can. This company should NOT be gladly taking peoples money and accepting orders if they are unable to fulfill them within 30 days. (As per their FAQ stated on their website.) I wish I would’ve read the reviews here before I placed my order. Biggest online shopping mistake I’ve ever made.

Haven't received my shower cap that I ordered in June 2024

Placed an order in June 2024 for 2 shower caps.
The first thing that went wrong was that it said if I ordered 2, I would get free shipping, but it never took shipping off and charged me £20. Had multiple communications with the team throughout 2024 as I had ordered this for my sister's birthday in June, and wanted to know where on earth my order was. Finally got my order on the 9th April 2025, but only 1 shower cap was delivered. Contacted them multiple times to find out where the other one is and still haven't had a response. Quite frankly would like a full refund for both shower caps and the shipping- they aren't cheap.

Garbage company

Garbage company. I ordered 5 showercaps from them in December of 2024, with the intention of giving them as christmas gifts.
Weeks went by with no updates, no communication, nothing. I reached out via email and text and received no response.
Finally in April of 2025 I received a text message asking me if I still wanted my order and asking if they could swap out one of the items due to no stock.
I reluctantly said yes. I finally received a tracking number but then the items sat in pre-shipment status for several more weeks.
I finally asked for a refund and for them to just cancel my order as I was fed up.
Again we're back to no response and no package as of June 2025. Incredibly frustrated and completely confused how this company is still doing business.

Scammed

I would not even give them 1 star. I placed an order at the end of March 2025, it is now almost mid June 2025 and have just received a slew of messages saying that there is delay...it's on it's way...we'll send a tracking number...blah blah blah. I ordered 3 caps so needless to say I am out $150.00 and still no caps. I am furious and beyond disappointed because I have a Shhhowercap cap that is 4yrs old and was just the greatest thing ever! Nothing compares to it. Man, these guys destroyed their own business. It's a scam. Do NOT recommend!!!

SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS. Do not order.
On May 9, I placed an order for 1 item. The site said 2-5 days to fulfill and ship. I wait a week. I email them and kindly ask for a status update. They reply and say it will take up to 30 days to fulfill my item that was allegedly in stock. I reply back and request a cancel and refund. Almost immediately my order ships. They never did acknowledge my email requesting they cancel and refund the order pre-fulfillment. So I reply and say since they shipped the order, fine, no need to try to return it. They ignore my email. Another week or more goes by. Item not received. They then email me May 22 - not in reply to or acknowledging my prior contacts - and say they sent the wrong item so let them know via email if I want to return it. Account shows one order complete. At this point, it's been from May 9 to May 22. I have 0 items. Not the 1 I ordered. Not the 1 they tried to con me into taking instead.

I cancelled but order still shipped

I cancelled this order as soon as I got the confirmation email requesting that I confirm my order or cancel it. I cancelled it. Then I received an email stating it was too late and my order had already shipped. BUT I NEVER CONFIRMED IT. This company is a scam. I regret I ever heard of them.

Avoid. They will charge but not ship product

They charged my credit card for my shower cap and $17- rush shipping as soon as transaction entered but didn't ship product. When I reached out to customer support they claimed they couldn't see my order until I provided the PayPal tx confirmation. Their website claims they were the victims of fraud but they are the ones defrauding their customers. Working with PayPal to hopefully get my money back because despite multiple messages to shhhowercap no refund as of yet.

It’s been over a MONTH and my order has…

It’s been over a MONTH and my order has not even shipped?!?! I wish I’d read these reviews before I purchased. I’ve spent over $100AUD on a tiny shower cap that scammed me, I’ve got nothing to show for it. Emailed customer service multiple times and they promised they’d send it within 5 business days and assured me the person writing was a ‘real human’ (hint: they absolutely are run by bots). Never received my item nor a response

I purchased two show caps prior and was very happy with the product. I recently tried to purchase another show cap and never received the item. I then wrote team@ shhhowercap.com 3 separate times about this issue and never received a response. Now I would just like a refund and I fear I will not receive my money back. It's unfortunate that this has happened and I'm very disappointed with their customer service.

Be very cautious about shopping with SHHHOWERCAP.

My personal experience with SHHHOWERCAP:
This may seem like a small issue - but it's just a very basic issue to deliver something, or provide a refund, if a business cannot deliver. It's frustrating to have a company essentially rip you off, and leave the buyer with no method for recourse. Please read on.

It's a $49 shower cap - one would think it comes with at least a minimal level of customer service; this is not what I experienced.

In November 2024, I ordered two caps, and on 11/25/24, I received only one. I tried calling, but there is no actual phone number to talk with a human being. Actually, there's no way to communicate with them at all unless you send an email or fill out their online form.

As SHHHOWERCAP required, I initiated an email on 11/26/2024. As requested, I provided a photo of the cap I received, the shipping label, and the packing slip.

On 11/26/2024, I was assured via email that the issue had been "escalated" to properly resolve the issue.

I again sent an email on 12/22/2024, 1/14/2025, and 1/20/2025, asking for another shower cap, or a refund, or even just some feedback. I never received any further communication from SHHHOWERCAP after 11/26/2024, telling me they would look into it.

When I checked their website in January 2025, looking for further contact information, the website stated something to the effect of 'we're not in - check back with us later'. Today, 4/12,2025, I see that the website is back up and operational!

Because there is no human being to talk with - I'm completely out of luck if they won't answer their email inquiry forms. In my opinion, that tells the customer a lot about the company.

Again, in the scheme of things, I've only lost $49, and about two hours of my time chasing a resolution. But it's a very basic principle at issue. If you buy something on line, there is a mutual expectation that the customer and business will each conduct their business honestly.

EDITED 4/15/2025 TO RESPOND TO SHHHOWERCAP review comments:

On 4/13/2025, I filed a report of a purchase “problem” with Paypal; on 4/15/2025 SHHHOWERCAP issued me a refund for the missing shower cap.

Your communication (and it's anonymity) is the exact situation we've been dealing with as we stood up to enforce our Patent & Trademark rights and were faced with the issues that you described that actively misrepresent our business ethics and confuse our customers. They don’t stand behind their product-BEWARE!!

I have been trying for over a year to get a replacement for one of two caps I purchased. The adhesive strip on one came off in the front and sides and I have requested a replacement multiple times and have been met with excuses like they are back ordered or no response. I have provided pictures and everything they requested but to no avail. The second one I have at a beach house is fine, but the primary one has been unusable. How hard is it to send a replacement? For this reason, I highly suggest spending your money with companies who back their product.

Never received the third cap!

Never received the third cap. 0nly received 2 of 3. Wrote many times and they never sent the missing cap. SCAM
YOU are a SCAM!!! My first 3 orders were great . Last 2 a disaster!!!! I wrote over xmas about not receiving 3rd cap- and nothing was in a box- other 2 caps thrown into a paper envelope!!! I asked for the boxes that come with caps . Never received boxes so I had to buy different gifts and never received missing cap. The order I ordered from today show I NEVER received and wrote over 10 times. Your company is a disaster but with a good product if you receive it ,but NOW I am speaking out! Take advantage of me once but not twice AND look at your reviews- lt's all the same story. The BBB should go after you but then again you're not registered with them! Look at your reviews on that. I hope people don't get scammed as I have! you wrote me after my xmas order 2 weeks ago and said you would get back to me. BUT NO YOU DID NOT!!! and your phone number on trust pilot doesn't work. That says it all!!!
