I have never renewed my insurance with my previous insurer because there second year quote is always ridiculous !! Right sure gave me a quote for my renewal slightly less than the previous year so was happy to re new my policy obviously after checking other quotes , can’t recommend then enough

Having reviewed your journey, we can see that your policy was cancelled due to you incorrectly putting down your occupation.
When you purchased the policy online via GoCompare, you listed your occupation as a self-employed chauffeur. During our validation call, you confirmed your occupation is a courier. As the information was incorrect, your policy needed updating, but unfortunately this type of occupation is unacceptable to the insurer.
The correct information must be provided to any insurance company. Had your policy been allowed to continue unaltered, you could have faced serious problems in the event of needing to make a claim. It is better for you if we check your information at the start of your policy so that if you need to make a claim, it can be handled swiftly and without delay.
Your policy was cancelled as per our Terms and Conditions. When you bought your policy, you agreed to our Terms of Business and confirmed this by ticking a box.

Having reviewed your journey, we can see that the policy was cancelled due to the increase in premium as a result of the car purchase date needing to be corrected.
When the policy was purchased online via GoCompare, you were asked 'When was the car purchased?' with a clarification as 'Enter the date you became the owner/registered keeper of the vehicle as shown on the V5. For example, if the vehicle was gifted to you, use the date the ownership was transferred to you, not the date the vehicle was originally purchased, which you gave as August 2013.
During the validation call with our team, it was advised that the vehicle had changed ownership and then changed back to you in August 2026, as per the V5 document. As with any change in information to given, your policy needed to be updated, which caused an increase in your premium. As a result of the increase, you decided to cancel your policy.
Your policy was cancelled in line with our Terms and Conditions. When you bought your policy, you agreed to our Terms of Business and confirmed this by ticking a box. Cancellation charges are in place to cover some of the costs we incur in setting up policies that are cancelled through no fault of our own. We keep this as low as possible and only apply it to cover genuine costs.
