Home insurance renewal
Home insurance renewal was due and I had an ongoing claim. Unsure of how to disclose this when getting quotes I asked for information and was passed back and forth whilst getting no answers.
When trying to renew I had questions that could not be answered without speaking to the underwriter who wasn't available at the time. Told they would call me back (renewal due the next day - a Saturday) and they never did. Then when I had to call on the Saturday to renew there were no notes of my questions on their system.
Essentially I was forced into a renewal at a cost nearly double the previous year because a claim from over 2 months ago was still ongoing and uncategorised. Not necessarily Rightsure's fault but frustrating.
The issues I had have been resolved now after a conversation which answered all the relevant questions I still had. Much more satisfied with the service provided now, however the advisors I initially spoke to could advise better to avoid the need for resolution after leaving a review.

after insuring my van and paying the…
after insuring my van and paying the first 2 months i come to realise i was duel insured and cancelled insurance with rightsure asap and was told to send proof of no break in insurance with the other broker which i did for a refund which i did not get, only for 3 months later been sent a letter from a debt agency out of the blue claiming i have outstanding balance. I just got off the phone with rightsure and was told nothing we can do, no refund, no care and not their problem. zero stars will not use ever again

We've reviewed your journey with us, and we would like to provide some clarity on the matter. We wholly disagree with your comment that we don’t care or that this isn’t our problem. Your calls were dealt with thoroughly, professionally and with courtesy.
As you've stated, you called to cancel your policy as your previous insurance auto-renewed. On that call, our adviser explained the cancellation procedure and suggested sending proof of insurance certificate from the other insurer, so we could ask your new insurer to cancel from inception. You were also told that you'd be charged for cancellation plus time on cover, in line with our Terms and Conditions, and that because you paid by instalments, Premium Credit would contact you to recover any shortfall.
We received your cancellation instructions but no proof of insurance from your previous insurer. Your policy was therefore cancelled with effect from 11th August 2026
Once the policy was cancelled, we confirmed the difference to Premium Credit, who then emailed you on 2nd September 2026. In this email, it was requested that you pay within 30 days of the email. Payment wasn't made, which is why the debt was passed over to a recovery agency.
As this debt now sits with the recovery agency, any questions about repayment or payment arrangements are best raised with them directly. Alternatively, if you can send us proof of insurance certificate from your previous insurer, we'll ask your new insurer if they would honour a refund so that we can clear the outstanding debt. Please email this to post@rightsure.co.uk, including your policy number and our Customer Service Team will investigate.
