Extremely annoying

Extremely annoying! I received seven (7) reminders of a reservation I made, then received two follow-ups. I want to delete my entire profile but there does not seem to be a way to do that!

Resy ruined a dream trip to New York

Resy cancelled four reservations on a dream trip to New York without any request to do so from us.

They claimed my partner’s account was automatically closed due to suspicious activity - we received no warning, simply cancellation messages.

Their support has been appalling.

First they claimed the restaurants cancelled the reservations before then changing the story to the “suspicious activity” one.

TERRIBLE

Never ever have I used Resy with any success. Sign up enroll put your info in they’ll send you a code then they’ll send you an email. The problem is the emails take 6 to 8 hours to arrive and so process failed.
I will never ever use this stupid crap app and I will never ever go to a restaurant that will not allow me to make reservations through their own phone number. I have never spoken with anyone who has had success using this stupid app. I am so angry. This is the last time I will lose reservations for an important event because of this POS.

Frustrating support interaction

Edit: Their support team asked me to reset my network settings, which eventually resolved the issue, but they didn't tell me that I'd be losing all of my wifi and bluetooth connections and passwords. So in the end I don't think it was related to Resy or their services, but their support team should tell the user the ramifications of what they're asking them to do in order for us to make informed decisions about whether, and when, to do it.

I've received dozens and dozens, every 5-15 minutes, of "reminders" for a reservation that is already in the past. I reached out to support and their advice was to reset my phone network settings, which deleted all of my wifi passwords and bluetooth settings, creating a giant hassle for me, and it didn't fix the issue.

Don't share your information

Very bad experience with RESY, which is sad because the restaurant in question is excellent. I've already advised the restaurant of the negative experience with RESY. I had to provide a cell number (I'm older and don't usually share that information) and my phone has been BLOWN UP with scam, robo-calls and other inappropriate violations of my privacy since using RESY. I will NEVER use this service again.

This app totally sucks! They suck your cell # and email out of you, then won’t even let you make a reservation. Go back to take notes from Open Table and learn how to conduct business. Joke!!

Unnecessary rules for a stressful situation

I had a bar event booked for the night time and we were extremely excited to book a restaurant for lunch. We woke up at 5 am and waited 10 minutes refreshing the page to get this reservation so we could eat hours before and their website gave us an extremely disturbing error that we would have to cancel our other paid bar top event reservation for later that evening which the times did not conflict at all. I found this to be super disappointing and disturbing. We were looking forward to eating there and just because we booked bar tickets for that evening your website gave us an ultimatum. I don’t know if I will ever be able to visit this place in my life. We reached out to Resy and they told us it was one each time frame (breakfast, lunch,dinner) and that it’s up to the restaurant to decide. We tried to book lunch for 2:30 pm (lunch) and had our bar too reservation for 6:30 pm (dinner). I highly doubt that either of them consider the other reservation in their time frame. Rest just uses this to place the blame away from themselves when they are the ones who made the rule in the first place. They claim this is for the benefit of the restaurant but are willing to cancel your previous reservation to maintain your one reservation a day. So they obviously don’t care about the restaurant, it’s just to meet their stupid rule. to Extremely disappointed. It ruined our plans and we are devastated. I’m sure that our grandparents won wwii so we could be limited to one reservation a day.

Making reservations is the absolute…

Making reservations is the absolute worst on this app and it’s extremely disappointing every time a restaurant chooses to use this app over open table. Especially for reservations where you need to book right as soon as they open. My fiancé and I tried booking a reservation at the same time. She was the only one to get in. We were booking a restaurant for lunch at 2pm but because we had a literal pop up bar with 0 food booked at 7pm we couldn’t make the reservation and lost the booking. We had already paid $30 for our bar reservations and could not cancel. Absolute garbage system.

Fraud fraud fraud

Fraud fraud fraud. Got charged 220 gbp for a booking I received no confirmation for and that they cancelled. The restaurant was also useless in providing a resolution. Do not use!

Whew

Whew, a shockingly incompetent product. A failure of a simple functionality. Attempts to prove I'm not a robot were rejected by this horrid "service's" robot.
If this company endures, it will be a sure sign of the end of times. A piece of utter sub-garbage.

I made reservations at a restaurant…

I made reservations at a restaurant that is very hard to get into, I reserved 2 weekends in a row. One weekend for a date and the other weekend for my boss and they cancelled them and accused me of selling reservations although its MY credit card on file to hold the place!

Resy Codes not received

I have tried three times to make a restaurant reservation this week but when Resy says they are sending a code it does not come through, so I cannot complete the reservation. I will call the restaurant when they open and let them know.
About a month ago I experienced a different problem when trying to get a reservation at another restaurant and Resy indicated no times were available after 6:30pm. We booked that but when we got to the restaurant they told us they had plenty of room at later times. They wondered why they were not getting reservations and therefore losing customers that night. We have not experienced these issues with Open Table. I will not create an account with Resy as I do not trust them.

Absolute infuriating rubbish

I've spent over an hour trying to make a booking. Ran out of charge on my phone it took so long. Tried on my computer and although it appears I've made the booking have had no confirmation- had to email the restaurant in the end. Defeating the object of the restaurant not having to deal with booking queries!
This is all after the website forces registration and takes card details. Doesn't work with a secure password manager either. Completely stressed and infuriated by it. Will avoid businesses that use this in the future.
Examples of issues: Website doesn't scroll on phone screen- can't access dates/times to book.
After registering account, doesn't recognise account.
Doesn't work with a password manager.
Doesn't provide confirmation of booking.
Doesn't allow toggling between views on phone (to retrieve text code, back to Resy site) so have to start whole process again.
Grrrr!

Got charged $420.00 in reservation…

Charged $420.00 in reservation cancelation fees in error. We showed up early on one day and canceled 24 hrs in advance (have proof) for another res. and got dinged anyway. Apprised restaurant owner of problem who dismissed us. Will leave reviews for him accordingly. Stay away from this app. DO NOT use a CC or DC to secure a reservation!

Bad experience about data transfer-writing from restaurant site

I’m writing from restaurant site. We are all good working with resy. However their decision about leaving Australia market leaving us no choice but change to other platform. It’s funny how their system won’t allow us to download all data (for transition) from our end. All other platforms have this function. I had to contact support, they said it is to protect guest data…. Aren’t those guests our own guest?

They say it would take few days for the data report to be sent, which means I would never get the latest data for the transition as we are still getting new bookings everyday. This is the worst management I have ever seen. How come they took forever for this, and this kind of simple function should be authorised to restaurant end.

REZY NEVER AGAIN

An App that requires a credit card to book a reservation. NO. I tried multiple times to make a reservation and it failed ultimately they took $75 on my credit card.

Terrible user experience

Terrible user experience!

It’s buggy, laggy and designed really badly. It’s nothing short of a frustrating app to use.

It’s not a bad idea, but UX needs some serious work!

I usually get put off when restaurants require this app to book, I’d rather call through or just find something else.

And I would highly suggest swapping booking providers until this one changes/improves … one day. It’s not worth losing customers over.
