I was having trouble with the Resy app and I reached out to customer support. Morgan, the Hospitality coordinator wouldn’t even give me the courtesy of providing a phone number. He just emailed back-and-forth and as I explained that I had done everything suggested and nothing worked. He said, “call the restaurant”. I thought that was interesting because of course I can call the restaurant, but isn’t that the point of the app? I chose to work with Resy but no more. They have a lot to learn about customer support and customer service. They are customer no service in my case.
Coastal Prime Boothbay waiter Jamie and food
On June 20,2024 my wife and I had dinner at the Coastal Prime restaurant in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
Our waiter “Jamie” was absolutely the best we ever had. So friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He seemed like he was enjoying us being there with him as much as we were enjoying everything he did for us. The food and presentation were excellent also. “ Jamie” was the best. Coastal Prime is lucky to have him.

I pul the information in twice but did not see a confirmation no. I meant to check email but got busy. THERE WAS NO RESERVATION WHEN WE ARRIVED AT RESTAURANT-1-½ hour wait. I have deleted app and will not use again. Restaurant advised me to always use the telephone!
SCAM
I was contacted by someone via text that indicated they worked with Resy. They were trying to recruit me for work. I asked how they got my phone number, they stated through a number generation software. After researching the company, I see that this appears to clearly be a scam and politely declined and sent them the link to their bad reviews here. Be careful, it’s dangerous out there and scams are at an all time high. They asked for my SSN as well. I hope this helps.
Too hard to log in and get reservation…
Too hard to log in and get reservation confirmed. Requires both text verification and log in credentials (then crashed, in my case). Faster and easier to just call the restaurant, I’m afraid.

Just wasted thirty minutes of my life…
Just wasted thirty minutes of my life on this godawful site. Blinking red dot from hell. Has the reservation gone through? Has my login been accepted? Why is today's date on the reservation instead of the one I want? Hire a real person all restaurants, and stay away from Resy. I almost bailed on reserving altogether. I will be communicating this to the restaurant. Imagine the number of customers lost who didn't bother.
Reservation not made
I tried to book a reservation for for a restaurant in London using Resi and thought i had made it given i gave my CC details and had chosen a time at the restaurant. Instead they only took my registration details and did not confirm that the reservation had NOT been made. This is beyond belief for an application whose sole purpose is to take reservations and nearly cost me my reservation (thankfully I managed to book at the time I wanted anyway).

They are lucky they get one!! These jerks stole $2297 from me!!! They won’t give it back and the owners when I contacted them told me that they weren’t the owners!!!!
No luck with this app
Tried to make a reservation, but the app didn't all me to complete the reservation using my Platinum card, so I tried using a different CC, but this time, the app said that the table was no longer available ... all within two minutes. I hadn't refreshed the page or left it. So, I'm guessing my experience mirrors that of the many others who hate this app. Sorry.

This is the worst app in the world. Not user friendly. Now they won't let you use it if you have android. They took over every restaurant god knows how. The people that work there must know how bad the app is. Why are you doing this to us?
Deleted this app after my first attempt…
Deleted this app after my first attempt at using it. Received very confusing "confirmation" email that required reaching out to support to clarify. Later, there was no apparent easy way to add a person to our dinner party - I can't rule out my human error, but I never had this difficulty with Open Table app. App took more time and created more hassle than simply calling the restaurant.

Would give no stars if possible. I don't know how they can make such a simple product with so many established competitors so poor.
Firstly log in and registration is completely busted. I had to create a second account as I couldn't log in or reset the password for my first account.
Second - they don't send any booking reminder or confirmation a few days out from a reservation whuch is just plain weird. You would think at very least if there is a no show fee you would double check if someone can still go ahead of time

The service is dysfunctional. I couldn’t log in despite having an account. Password reset doesn't work. UI is confusing. I can’t believe they are still going.
Useless booking UI
Useless booking UI - reset password function doesn’t work and when you try to set up a new account it keeps clearing certain fields of the webform. Wish restaurants would stop using the widget on their websites - means I’m less likely to book there!
Resy Cancellation Fee even though we attended the meal
We were looking for an authentic Indian Restaurant in NYC and saw Kebab Our Sherab in the Michelin Guide.
We booked through Resy and went for our meal, which was just about OK in terms of food quality and price, 4/10.
A few days later we received a notification email from Resy app which we used to book the reservation say that we had been charged a cancellation fee of $40! We certainly did not cancel so this is pretty much a scam/theft on behalf of the restaurant or Resy and so far neither of them has got back to us, Resy does not also let consumer leave negative reviews on their partner restaurants so how is this a transparent platform?
I will be taking this up with the restaurant, Resy app and my credit card provider and if this fee is refunded I will update the review. If the review hasn't been updated then please take this as a warning that Kebab Aur Sherab and Resy App have a scam going to charge their customers days after they have had their meal in the hope that they don't notice the extra charge on their credit card statements.
Account ohne Vorwarnung gelöscht
Gestern wurde mein Account ohne Vorwarnung gelöscht und Reservierungen gecancelt. Angeblich stände ich unter Verdacht, dass ich Reservierungen verkaufen wollte. Ich habe erklärt, dass ich es nur für touristisches Zwecke nutze. Der Support empfiehlt ein neues Account zu eröffnen, warnt aber gleichzeitig, man würde die Untersuchungen meiner „Aktivitäten“ fortsetzen.
Wie kann man unschuldige Menschen nur so behandeln????

This was a ridiculous experience. Thought I had reserving a table at a resturant that I wanted to try. After Resy gave me times to choose on a Sunday, it turns out the place was closed. Will never use this stupid service again.
BAD system and non-inclusive for EAs and Executives
This is such a BAD BAD system and non-inclusive for EAs who need to be able to book tables on their boss's name with their own email address. Also non-inclusive for Executive Management who is being burdened by admin, having to forward the booking confirmation to me so that I can then put in the invite and receiving any admin relating to the booking. This creates so much more work for all of us who are meant to be simplifying our bosses' busy lives as it's first super fiddly to do a booking because it requires the account with the same mobile number bla bla bla, then I can't do it on my email with my boss's name so I have to then contact my boss to send me the booking confirmation so I can attach to the invite. If there are issues with the booking, he will receive these, since I can't use my account for the booking to be on his name - he will likely miss these emails, especially reminders of any cancellation policies, resulting in money lost on bookings that potentially needed to be cancelled just because the system doesn't allow an EA to book on someone's behalf. So I then have to go to the restaurant website and check all the info about booking cancellation policies and put a separate note for me somewhere in case my boss forgets or doesn't have time to forward the booking to me, in order to avoid any unnecessary card charges!!! Why add this stress when you can simply have 2 fields in the form that ask if you're booking for yourself or someone else??? OpenTable is soooo much better so now I'll avoid booking anything that isn't on OpenTable!!!! What a waste of time this Saturday morning when instead of relaxing, I had to spend a whole hour just to do 1 booking......... Have amateurs created this?
Poor system that cost wingmans
Really poor system that keeps asking for details and makes you set up and account, enter your number, a confirmation code, email address and then go through security just to be able to attempt booking a restaurant.
Making booking a place to eat far more hassle than it needs to be. Put me off booking a brunch at Wingman's in Soho London, for 10 people. the hassle wasn't worth it and we just went somewhere else.
