Avoid Regus if You’re a Small Business
My experience with Regus has been nothing short of awful. From the very beginning, they gave me an office space that was completely different from what was stated in my contract. I raised the issue expecting it to be resolved professionally, but that was only the start of the problems.
What really pushed me over the edge is their ridiculous billing system. I paid for my office space in advance and even paid for the following month before the end of the current month, yet somehow I was still charged a late payment fee. This is not the first time they have done this. As a small business owner, I feel like I have been repeatedly mugged off by a company that clearly doesn’t value smaller clients.
Trying to get anything sorted is an exercise in frustration. Their staff are extremely rude, and instead of providing solutions, they simply pass you from one person to another with nobody taking responsibility. You spend your time explaining the same issue repeatedly and get nowhere.
The whole experience has been infuriating and incredibly stressful. I can honestly say I will never use Regus again. If you’re a small business, I would strongly advise you to think twice before signing up with them. From my experience, they seem far more interested in catering to large businesses while leaving smaller companies to deal with poor service, unfair charges, and endless frustration.
Absolutely appalling experience.
This is my reply to your response
My name is Nat, so I’m unsure why you’ve addressed me as Temitayo.
Unfortunately, your response does not address the key issues raised in my review, and therefore my review stands.
The problem was never simply a “confusion” over office allocation. Regus made unilateral decisions that affected the company without any proper consultation or agreement. This resulted in months of unnecessary correspondence and frustration.
It took over six months of chasing to get these issues addressed, during which time the company was incorrectly charged late payment fees despite payments having been made in advance. Your response fails to acknowledge or explain these unfair charges.
The fact that access to the office was not denied is irrelevant. My review concerns poor customer service, incorrect billing, the time and stress involved in trying to resolve these issues, and the lack of accountability throughout the process, for a small and growing company, this is another layer of stress, money and energy that could otherwise be used for more productive ventures.
Based on my experience, the best resolution is to end our business relationship. I remain of the view that Regus operates in a way that leaves customers dealing with unfair charges and unnecessary administrative problems, and I believe prospective customers should be aware of that before signing an agreement.
