Mr Deshmukh performed cataract surgery for both my eyes during August and September this year. During consultations and surgery he took time to carefully explain the whole process very clearly to me, which gave me a lot of confidence and allayed any fears I had about the procedure. As a result, I was very relaxed during surgery and confident in Mr Desmukh and his team’s abilities.

Almost immediately after the operations I had my full vision back. My eyesight is now as good as it was in my younger days! I am thrilled with the results and thoroughly recommend Mr Deshmukh to anyone considering eye surgery.

Mr Deshmukh is an excellent consultant. He always has time for his patients. He and his team work very well together at Darent Valley Hospital. Shame Moorfield is closing down at Darent Valley Hospital. I am sure all his patients will miss him and his team.

My experience in Moorfields eye clinic was on the whole a very pleasant one from the reception to preliminary tests and examinations from the anaesthetist and nurses was smply great !
On the day of the surgery my anxiety continued to heighten and then came along Mr. Rajesh Deshmukh in a very calm and gentle voice and explained to me what he's going to do. He asked me just to keep my eyes open and I felt relaxed instantly by his manner and I knew I was in good hands.
I felt calm throughout the procedure had no pain and would recommend Mr Rajesh Deshmukh to all. I got my sight back and can see all the cobwebs in my house!!

I had cataract surgery in 2018 in my right eye. Unfortunately over the past few months I noticed my vision in this eye was deteriorating again. I had an appointment with Dr Deshmukh and he diagnosed dense posterior capsular opacification. Sounds dreadful! But he told me he could fix it in two minutes with laser treatment. So we arranged another appointment and true to his word, it did take only two minutes! He has a great manner with patients and explains everything very carefully. I highly recommend Rajesh. Now I am arranging for my left eye cataract to also be treated by him.

I was sad and frightened when I was discovered to be totally blind on left eye due to mature cataract.I met up with DR Deshmukh following appointment.As he examined my eyes he explained the procedure in detail and spoke about need for surgery .His soft words gave me confidence that I was in the right hands.He operated on my left bad eye and I could see as soon as I left theatre table.The procedure was not traumatic as I had expected .I was so relieved that I had been given a second chance in life to appreciate the world around me .I had subsequent surgery to right eye .All went well and has been well .Thank you so much for restoring my sight .I have regained
my confidence and will recommend you to any of my friends with similar eye problems .

I had a consultation re my cataract with Rajesh Deshmukh very recently. I cannot recommend him enough - he performs over 1,000 procedures a year. He was meticulous in both his examination and discussion of possible complications due to the prostate drug I was taking. The cataract procedure was performed last Monday at Bishops Wood with the same meticulous approach and instructions for aftercare from him and his team. I cannot believe the result. The world is a very bright place and colours so vivid! Just a few days now before I am back on the golf course!!

I had a very successful cataract operation with Dr Rajesh. He is got very good patient care. During the operation he talked to me throughout although I was half asleep and put music for me in the background because I was very nervous but the music calmed me down. He is got magic hands as well!! When one eye was successfully done I was called in to have the second one done and asked the nurse if Dr Rajesh was going to do it and she said yes and I was very pleased. My vision is now clear in both eyes

Dr.Rajesh R Deshmukh is a wonderful eye surgeon. I developed cataracts.My vision in right eye was very poor.That eye had an injury in my childhood.I consulted several eye surgeons. They told me that I might not get full correction after operation as the right eye already had an anatomical problem.
Dr.Rajesh explained everything and did my cataract surgery.I got complete correction of my vision in my right eye.Now I am looking forward to surgery in my other eye.
I am sure he can help many like me with his experience and compassionate approach.
