Mr Deshmukh was extremely thorough in his examinations and really took the time to reassure me and fully explain his findings. I have a very complicated history with my eyes, having had multiple surgeries and having multiple conditions (raised intraocular pressure, previous retinal detachment, lens exchanges/cataracts and now guttata). I was quite anxious and apprehensive about another eye appointment but Mr Dashmukh really put me at ease and dealt perfectly with my questions and assessing my complex history. I have seen many ocular specialists at this stage and would absolutely recommend Mr Deshmukh - for his knowledge of all of my eye conditions, his thoroughness and beside manner. 5*s!

Today I had laser surgery on my eyes performed by Doctor Deshmukh which was a great success .
Throughout the procedure the Doctor and his staff were very attentive and caring.
I would thoroughly recommend Minefields if you are having problems

Mr Deshmukh provided me with laser treatment for bilateral posterior capsular pacification at Moorfields Private. He was welcoming, with a warm approachable manner, very thorough and careful, and I was extremely pleased with the results.

I had a consultation and YAG PCO laser treatment performed by Mr Deshmukh. His manner completely put me at ease. Everything was fully explained and I have nothing but praise for the way I was treated. The treatment has restored the sight to my left eye to what it was after my previous cataract surgery. I would like to write few lines about service I received today at moerfield eye hospital. I noticed in life people thinks it’s right to write only complains rather than appreciating someone exceptional care/ support.

It mentioned previously my experience about Moorfield eye hospital is a Great hospital, totally different service/ care than normal NHS hospital from front door to exit door.
Today I been for my planned Cataract Surgery around 11.30. Nurses helped me about pre Ops paperwork and tests. After that stage Dr Rajesh checked my eyes, explained me well in detail, I feel very light and comfortable by talking to him, actually most of my fear went away the way he gave me confidence. As I am very shortsighted, almost wearing glasses -16.5 D for that eye and surgery was not that as simple like others. A little while they took me for surgery. In my last surgery I was on sleep but this one I can see and hear by other eye, doctor throughout surgery was talking to me, asking any pain, advising me, supporting me. After the surgery he came all the way to recovery room and very politely explained me about successful surgery and eye drops and care which I need to carry on using in future.
I really appreciate and recommend Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh for eye surgery.

My 90 year old wheelchair bound mother and I met Mr Rajesh R Deshmukh today at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Mr R R D spoke firstly to my mum, then to me, introducing himself, what he was able to offer, and about mums eye issues. This was such a refreshing start to the consultation, as mum was treated with respect that she had a mind of her own. This can be so rare when people have a physical disability! Mr R R D was absolutely fantastic with mum. He was very respectful, calm, caring and a very genuine guy. He was confident in his manner and his knowledge. I would have no hesitation at recommending this surgeon for the laser eye treatment that he gave to mum today. From his first introduction, he was clear with mums condition, why this happened, what had happened and what was available to improve her vision. Mum was almost blind, through extreme short sightedness, previous cataract surgery, a chronic nevus and macular degeneration which is age related! Mr R R D explained everything in clear, jargon free speech to both mum and myself. Gave us full information on what was available, when and the plus and negative (very few) results of laser eye surgery. He gave mum all the time that she required to make her decisions. Mr R R D performed the laser treatment and dealt with mum from beginning to end with such great professionalism. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this surgeon, his skills, bedside manor and professionalism at Moorfields Hospital.

Mr. Deshmukh was very professional and put me at ease immediately, as I'd been very nervous about having my cataracts done, and quite wobbly after these procedures. I was very reassured by his manner and his ability to listen, and his explanations were simple and very clear. I left the very impressive Moorfields Ophthalmology department feeling I'd been seen by one of the very best professionals there.

I have just had the smoothest, most warm-hearted and professional cataract surgery. I have a lazy eye, and was anxious because the surgery was on my only good eye. Knowing how busy the surgery is, I was not expecting quite how well I was treated by Mr Deshmukh and his team before, during and after the surgery. Beforehand, Mr Deshmukh reassured me of the straightforward nature of the operation, of his experience and he even made me laugh. During the surgery he told me what was happening and what my eye might feel at each stage, and reminded me to breathe deeply which kept me more relaxed and specifically knowing what to expect. Afterwards, he again reassured me of how well the operation had gone and accompanied me to the recovery room. He gave me crucial information on what to expect of the eye over the next couple of days. A day on, I am absolutely gobsmacked and delighted with the result, and appreciate the ease with which Mr Deshmukh took me through the process. Thank you.

I recently had two cataract operations at Moorfields
private hospital. They were successful and I am very happy with the result. However, the doctor did not wear a mask at all times in my private room and his consulting room, though he did, of course, during the operations, and he made a minor mistake on one of my prescriptions.

My recent right eye cataract surgery in November was a very smooth and professionally dealt experience. Caroline, the secretary was super efficient in making all the appointments and scheduling the surgery. Rajesh was excellent in taking me through pre surgery requirements. During the operation, his team were super efficient, with Rajesh talking to me as he was doing the surgery. I would highly recommend Rajesh and his team. He is a very accomplished surgeon with a competent support team that takes excellent care of you from start to finish.

My mother was seen by Mr Deshmukh. Our appointment was on time and he was very friendly and explained everything clearly.
He arranged a scan whilst we were there and carried out the procedure immediately which we were extremely grateful of because my mother is elderly and we didn’t want to return if not necessary in these Covid times.

I saw Mr Deshmukh at BishopsWoodHospital,Northwood.He patiently explained exactly what the proceedure would entail
for removing cateracts from both eyes. I confess I was nervous at the prospect of surgery on my eyes but Mr Deshmukh reassured me with his calm pleasant manner which inspired confidence.

Mr Deshmukh kindly saw me at very short notice when I needed an urgent intravitreal injection of Eylea. He was knowledgeable and understanding. The procedure was expertly performed, and I am most grateful for his help.

I had almost lost vision in my right eye due to a mature cataract. I approached Dr Rajesh Deshmukh in Moorfields Private Hospital. Dr. Deshmukh explained the diagnosis and the procedure for the cataract surgery. Dr. Deshmukh reassured me that there was nothing to worry in his calm demeanour. His secretary Fatima is very efficient and arranged for the earliest available surgery. Fatima is professional and was always available for our queries. Dr. Deshmukh meticulously performed the surgery without any pain under local anaesthesia. The nurses at Moorfields are excellent. I was really impressed by the level of care I received on the day of the surgery. I am happy that I was able to see properly once again and celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights with proper vision. I am glad to have made the decision to get my cataract operated by Dr. Deshmukh. I am very pleased with the result of my cataract operations carried out by Dr Raj Deshmukh (Raj).

I am very shortsighted. Also my left eye had been impaired by a haemorrhage on the retina which destroyed the centre of vision, so I only have peripheral vision in that eye. Added to that, because I am 77 the retinas show signs of wear and tear. I was also extremely nervous of having the operations. So mine was not a straightforward case.

Somehow Raj helped me to be calm, and I was able to be a cooperative patient for him during the operation. Through his skill he was able to restore perfect vision to my right eye, and to improve the vision in my left eye enough so that it wasn't obscuring the vision in the right.

I am a visual person, a painter, and my vision is my life. I have been delightedly looking at everything I can see around me since the operation. Recently I was thrilled to see an exhibition of Titians' paintings at the National Gallery very clearly. I am also able to see my own paintings very well now, with all their flaws, and am more able to work on them.

I am so thankful to Raj for his skillful work and his kindness. I have no hesitation in recommending him as a surgeon.

With coronavirus causing a huge strain on the NHS I approached Moorfields Private Eye Hospital when I felt my cataract was really beginning to interfere with day-to-day living. I was very quickly booked in for an examination and consultation with Mr Deshmukh. His friendly, professional manner meant I was very relaxed about the prospect of surgery which followed just a few days after the initial consultation.
