Mr Rajesh Deshmukh is a Consultant Eye Surgeon with world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Having passed Advanced Senior Fellowship in the field of Cataract Surgery and Vision Correction from Moorfields Eye Hospital London, Mr Deshmukh completed Certification in Laser and Refractive Surgery from Royal College of Ophthalmology and Post Graduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from Ulster University. Mr Deshmukh is an expert Cataract Surgeon and has supervised and trained many ophthalmologists in cataract surgery since 2013. He offers a full range of refractive surgery options with experience in various intraocular lenses including Multifocal (for distance, intermediate and reading vision without glasses), EDOF (extended depth of focus for spectacle independence), Toric (to correct astigmatism) and EVO ICL (Implantable ‘Contact’ Lens). Being a high-volume cataract surgeon, he performs more than 1000 cataract surgeries annually with complication rate (PCR) of 0.3 % as opposed to national average of 1.1 % (National Ophthalmology Database Audit). Successful treatment of eye lens opacity in minutes
My consultation was to enquire about treatment of lens opacity in right eye. Mr Deshmukh inspected the eye and confirmed that laser work would deal with the problem. He agreed to do treatment immediately as my eye pupil been dilated already. The laser work was totally painless and lasted only a few minutes. The outcome was a miracle as normal vision was restored. He is a very skilful & friendly person who put me entirely at ease for the procedure.

Dr Deshmukh performed cataract…
Dr Deshmukh performed cataract operations on both my eyes (two separate operations- one eye on the NHS and the other privately). I chose him to do the surgery as I had read great reviews of him. I wasn't disappointed. He was extremely reassuring, explaining everything both before and during the operations. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a eye surgeon.

Floaters and Flashes
I saw Mr Deshmukh in the morning.He explained to me about my eye issues and then showed me with the plastic eye sample.answered all my questions and put my mind at peace.Have been doing my exercises and my eyes are better and improving 🙂

Cataract
Cataract. All good. Only draw back was I got to see Arsenal score an injury time winner against my beloved Wolves. The NHS and all of its workers are incredible and we must never take it for granted.

How clearly we can see
I had my cataract removal & lens replacement (EDOF) operations 2 weeks apart done by Mr Deshmukh at the Moorfield Eye Hospital. My driving (even at night), watching TV (reading subtitles), sharp colour vision and in general just being able to see everything clearly is wonderful. I just have to wait for my brain to remember that I do not have to look for my glasses!!! Thank you Mr Deshmukh.

Mr Deshmukh performed a cataract…operation and changed my view of the world.
Mr Deshmukh performed a cataract operation on both my eyes nearly 4 weeks ago and I am amazed by the result. I have worn glasses since I was 6 years old and I am now nearly 76. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes. Amazing. Even the stigmatism in my left eye has been completely corrected. I will just have to unlearn my life long habit of reaching for my glasses. I also found the actual operation to be completely stress free.

An excellent eye surgeon with the knack of working so fast, sure and steady that you don’t have the time to worry! Couldn’t believe how quick and fuss-free my cataract removal/replacement lens was. First class experience
Visited in November for YAG capsulotomies which he performed very successfully. Good explanations of procedure given to me and very courteous.

Such great service
Such great service. Rajesh and his team were all friendly, polite people. They could see that I was nervous from the start and calmly took me through each stage of the surgery.
The actual surgery performed by Rajesh was completely pain free. I am so grateful to him and the team for the gift of clear sight again.
I would wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone having eye surgery.

I had cataract surgery on my right eye…
I had cataract surgery on my right eye and I am thrilled with the results. I now have 20/20 vision in that eye and just need +1 for reading. It means I can drive again and see the golf ball when I play! I was very impressed with the excellent standard of care I received. The surgery was very important to me as my right eye is my one good eye so ensuring the surgery went well was all important.

I had cataract surgery on my left eye
I had cataract surgery on my left eye. My experience was very good and Mr Deshmukh was happy to explain everything. It was quick to arrange, all went very well and I now have good eyesight in that eye.
Happy to recommend both him and the team at Moorfields.

MY DAY IN MOORFIELDS EYE HOSPITAL.
Thank you for giving me this opprtunity to express myself after my right eye surgery on the 11th September 2021 under MR RAJESH R DESHMUKH. CONSULTANT EYE SURGEON at Moorefeild Eye Hospital.
He care for me as I did not feel any pain. His instructions was very simple and clear. His touch was gentle as he will say 'I am covering your eyes and it was gently cover. He is soft spoken. He knows what he is doing with people's eyes. It did not take him time to carry out the surgery. I am very pleased with the surgery. I will be happy to be put under him for my left eye surgery. You are more than a credot to NHS. Thank you for a job well done. I can recommend others to him.

Having already had one cataract…
Having already had one cataract operation I was very nervous about the 2nd and really wanted a general anaesthetic or sedation. I was assured it wasn't necessary and that all would be well. My surgery was painless as promised, and I suffered no after effects. In fact, by the next morning I would not have known I had surgery! I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Deshmukh.

my experience at moorefield private hospital.
i was given an appoinment for Moorefield private eye hospital and met Dr Rajesh Deshmukh on 12.july,2021 for my cataract surgery. Mr Rajesh Desmukh is very friendly,professional and very committed to his patients results.i am extremely satisfied with my post surgery and highly recommend him to any one who needs opthalmic attention.
