Attracted by their market-leading rates…
Attracted by their market-leading saving rates, my wife and I thought it would be relatively straightforward to open an account. After applying online, 3 days later we eventually received a response saying we might be PEPs (Politically Exposed Persons). I think they have lost the plot if they think we are politicians!
They sent us a questionnaire with 8 questions to complete. Question 3, "Please explain the purpose of your UK Raisin account and what it is to be used for."
It is a savings account being used to save money!
I would not entrust them with my savings.
This review is to serve as a warning to others.

We would like to clarify that being asked to complete a PEP questionnaire does not mean that Raisin UK has determined that you are a Politically Exposed Person. As a regulated financial platform, we are required to carry out customer due diligence checks and, where further information is required, we may ask customers to complete additional questions before an application can proceed.
We appreciate that some of the questions may appear straightforward, particularly when opening an account for savings purposes. However, information such as the intended purpose and use of an account forms part of the information we may be required to obtain and verify.
These checks are there to meet our regulatory obligations and help us maintain a safe and secure platform for our customers.
We’re sorry that this gave you a negative first impression of Raisin UK and hope this provides some clarity as to why the additional information was requested.

Good investment banking opportunities and choices
I've been doing investment banking through Raisin for well over a year now... good service, broad choices of investment products including Islamic shariah based opportunities... initially, it took a bit of while to understand the technical processes of depositing and withdrawing investments, but afterwards, it became understandable... good customer services as well as timely communications vua emails and SMS messages etc... would recommend Raisin as it's fully FCA compliant and robust with relevant protections and safeguards in place...

I invested a large amount in a 32 day notice account ..I have notice to close account after two years the 32 days has passed and I haven't been given my money back . Five agents are unable to explain where my money is. Not happy that my lifes savings are not being returned. 77 year old disabled pensioner gets treated like this 🥹😢

With Notice Accounts, funds are returned once the applicable notice period has concluded. Having reviewed your account, we can confirm that your funds were paid out within the expected timeframe following the end of the 32-day notice period.
We can also see that our Customer Service team provided information regarding the status of your funds when you contacted us. We are sorry if the process or expected timing was not clear and caused you concern. Information regarding the notice period and applicable payout timeframe can also be found in the Terms and Conditions for each savings product.

I have not logged in to my account for…
I have not logged in to my account for some time due to the death of my oldest daughter. I have tried unsuccessfully to log in to my account and have sought help via a landline to access assistance. I held on for more than half an hour and then sent an email. The replies are from a BOT. i AM FURIOUS THAT ALL REPLIES HAVE BEEN AUTOMATED. What has happened to Customer Service? I am unable to use a mobile phone and I find the discrimination against non mobile users completely unacceptable. I require an immediate personal contact, not this hostile non human interaction.

You can also contact our Customer Service team without using a mobile phone. We can be reached on 0161 388 2399, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays, between 8:30am and 4:30pm. We apologise that you were unable to reach us when you previously called and for the length of time you spent waiting.
We understand your concerns regarding the automated email responses you received. Our automated replies are intended to provide immediate guidance where possible, but they do not replace our Customer Service team. If the automated response does not resolve your query, replying to the email will allow your query to be reviewed by a member of our team.
We have also requested some further information from you privately via Trustpilot. If you provide these details, we can locate your account and review what has happened so that we can help you regain access.

I could not withdraw my money easily. I was allowed to withdraw about two thirds and it is not documente in the transations. This is a control freak website. Beware.

Happy
I tend to go with fixed bonds because my ISAs are maxed-out. The interest rates are there-about best in market. The benefits are that when you are all ready set up, 1. you dont have to add your details again with a new bank when you switch and 2. you can move the whole amount, whereas my bank only allows £20k per day.
