Lost for words really
My father died unexpectedly and in the most awful circumstances at the end of March. My brother and I via our solicitors have sent through no end of paperwork in order to release Dad's funds. Despite driving 240 miles to my brothers home in order that we could both hand sign a Letter of Authority in ink - this document has now been rejected. Having talked to a customer services representative this afternoon, he advises that the notes tell him that we have signed digitally and need to sign again by hand?? Navigating the loss of both your mother and father within 14 months is bad enough, but I am at a loss for words as to how this company handles it's customer. When we first called some weeks ago, the call handler could not hear us as she was obviously working at home and kept chastising her noisy children. In the end my brother and I had to ask her to go to another room or remove them, in order to have a confidential conversation. At a loss for words really.

In relation to the documents required to release funds from an estate, certain documents must be completed and signed in line with the relevant requirements before we can proceed. In some cases, this includes providing documents with a handwritten signature rather than a digital signature. We appreciate that this can feel frustrating, especially at such a difficult time, but these checks are required to ensure the funds are released correctly and securely.
We also apologise for the phone experience you described. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, particularly when customers are discussing sensitive account matters. We can confirm that your comments regarding the call will be reviewed as part of your ongoing complaint, and our Complaints team will respond to you directly in line with our complaints procedure.

I have been with Raisin a few years now and have found them to be very good overall being able to offer choices in both interest and time periods of saving. If unable to make a decision yourself a call and a chat with an advisor is a great option.

Awful experience, wanted to promote this business and they declined my application for the affiliate program and don't want to help. Just don't seem interested in any sort of help. Stay well clear of this business! Customer service don't care.
