Viktor was excellent. Communication was great from the start and throughout, driver arrived on time with all the equipment needed. Extremely polite, helpful and friendly. Would defuse again.

Easy to get a quote off van sizes …

Easy to get a quote off van sizes and prices available for my chosen date and time. Original man had trouble on the day but I received an email telling me this and that a replacement had been sorted and would arrive at my chosen time and place, which he did. The man was friendly and nice. Very helpful, day went smooth. Thank you

Siva

Siva was fantastic. He arrived perfectly on time, had everything we needed to do the move, had a large & clean van, and he was friendly, experienced, and professional.
And he's cheaper than many of his competitors!
I've sinced engaged him again to help me with another move, and he was as brilliant the second time as he was the first.
I would totally recommend Siva for all your moves, he's awesome.

Last minute cancellation

Booked a van and two movers on 23rd Jan for 12pm today. They cancelled at 11am. No drivers in the area so the move was cancelled. No apology, no offer to reorganise for another day, no help at all.

We want to clarify that the cancellation was due to the van experiencing an unexpected breakdown, which our driver attempted to resolve unsuccessfully. Despite our efforts to find a suitable alternative in time for your move, none was available at the crucial moment. Upon your request, we proceeded with the cancellation. Additionally, our operator did apologize for the breakdown and the inconvenience it caused at the time of your call.

Furthermore, we included a sincere apology in the email confirming your full refund. We understand the significant inconvenience this caused, and we are continuously working to improve our services to prevent such occurrences in the future. We hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the future.

Pay extra and go local. Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs

I booked a few days in advance and recieved a confirmation of my driver. Called him to confirm few days before and he confirmed. On the day he never turned up and wouldn't answer my calls. Called customer service they were unaware. Called 4 times and they say oh his van isn't working and I can cancel. They could not guarantee me a replacement driver at all and said they would call me back. Instead i had to call them back. Avoid these lot at all costs. When you speak to them you will understand. They are not worthy of a star . They lack simple acumen and don't take into consideration everyone's circumstances instead decide to refund you. No compensation . Because of them I had to fork out more as needed to move on the day of booking.

The van breakdown was an unforeseen issue beyond our control, and we promptly issued a full refund as we could not meet your timing requirements. I would like to thank Chirag Dalal for his exceptional help on 23/12 this year, he took over the move at the last minute and came through like a true professional. Nothing was too much trouble and he kept to my schedule so well. Thank you Chirag I really am pleased with your help.

Really helpful

Adam Gutteridge helped us move our belongings out of storage and he was fantastic. Unfortunately due to the council messing me about I had to change the date and times but he was so accommodating. I would definitely recommend this firm and definitely Adam

Great Experience

Have had nightmares with man with a van companies in the past. This was perfect. Syed was great and helped me load and unload the van.

Bilal Driver

Bilal was very helpful, friendly and professional. He helped me for the moving on 6/11/2024. He arrived on time and everything was stress-free and smooth. Thank you again my friend.

Hired Lewis Removals

Hired Lewis Removals - damaged several of my items with scratches on furniture, broken luggage, and damaged a piece of furniture I could not use again. did not respect the items when loading and unloading (velvet sofa dragged on his van floor). left cloth items in the rain whilst unloading, did not care about items falling to the floor.
The driver himself is not agile to be completing a move, I did a majority of the lifting down 3 flights of stairs, found him to complain quite a lot and simply could not cope with completing the move. Mentioned several times I should've hired a helper - despite mentioning the details of all items of the move, the number of stairs prior to booking. He should have just cancelled the booking instead of agreeing and complaining so much, and doing such a poor job. Would highly recommend to avoid Lewis removals!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely regret that your experience with Lewis Removals did not meet your expectations.

We acknowledge that the driver admitted to breaking a leg from the coffee table, and he offered to compensate you on the spot, but you declined. Regarding the broken handle on the old suitcase, the driver used the handle in a normal manner, and it broke due to the weight inside. The driver mentioned that you assured him not to worry about it at the time. However, we understand that feelings can change after the move, and we respect that.

It's important to note that you refused compensation on the spot offered by the driver and we received your damage claim 10 days after the move. As outlined in our terms and conditions, any damage claims must be made within 24 hours after the move to be eligible for compensation. This is to ensure we can address the issue promptly and make a claim with the insurance provider if needed.

We also understand your concerns about the physical assistance required during the move. While we strive to accommodate as much as possible, certain items, like a large velvet sofa, typically require two people for safe handling. Our drivers do their best to manage with the help available on-site, but they may suggest additional help if they find it challenging to move items alone.

Regarding your point about booking based on a list of items and stairs, we cannot physically assess every job in advance, and we rely on customers to provide an accurate description of the move. Our terms and conditions state that it's the customer's responsibility to ensure sufficient manpower is available for handling the items. If the job is beyond what a single driver can manage safely, the driver has the right to suggest additional help or, if necessary, cancel the job. However, this does not waive the payment obligations, as per our policy.
