Good Charger, Worst App ever made

What can i say, everything was perfect and worked.

then they updated the app, changing everything. now it just dosent work, to start a chage you have to hold the screen for 20 seconds. plug your car in after your schedules charge is due to start. no problem it just wont change, even if you over ride it, it just waits to the next day's scedule.

you now have to re-plug the car everytime you start, stop or to change a setting.

i have to set an alarm 10 mins after my night rate starts at 12pm just to check if it actualy starts chaging. usualy i have to get dressed go back outside and re-plug the car in a few times.

i have no idea why they changed a pefect app and made us beta testers. so far supoprt has said they are looking into it.

Just roll the update back, and let people use the charger as they had.

if you look at almost every review it's the same, the reviews on IOS are all the same, it's broken.

it's a shame, should have stuck with Pod point.

Hello Carl, sorry to hear you are very unhappy. We can resolve this issue for you and have reached out with next steps.

We have changed the app so you only have to hold down for 2 seconds to authorise a charge. Note that it may still take a few seconds for the charge to prepare (the orange circle).

Unplugging to start a new session or change a setting has always existed (even with the old app). The old app allowed you to override this by forcing a charger reboot remotely in the app but we removed this function on advice from manufacturer to avoid charger damage. We are working on a touch-free solution for this.

Really impressed with my charger installation 5 stars for the installer. App seems to work well and total cost was fantastic will definitely recommend Powerverse to anyone

The app worked pretty good

The app worked pretty good on the automatic scheduling but when I tried to change to the solar charging it took a few attempts but as I was not sure if I was doing it right

Very professional service

Very professional service. Communication was excellent from the start. The price was also unbeatable. The box is very neatly installed and the app has worked perfectly with my Tesla. Many options in how you use the charger which makes it future proof. Highly recommend.

The price was very competitive.

As said in the title, the price was good.
The installer was very friendly and didn't mind going under the floorboards on his hands and knees to put an earthing point on the water pipe.
I still struggle with the app, when putting the car on charge it states that it will be so many seconds before charging will begin (never lower than 6,000 seconds) unless you manually over-ride it. If, whilst charging, you unlock the car to how much charge has gone into the car it stops.
We were called by the company saying that an engineer needs to call to make an amendment to our charger which we thought may have sorted the 2 issues we have but it has made no difference.
What we now do is charge the car and leave it alone until the charging light on the charger shows that the charge is complete.

Hi Guy, thank you for your review! I wanted to address your app issues as it should help:

- The randomised delay is a government imposed UK regulation to protect the grid and is the same for all chargers.

- The car will be stopping the charge once it's unlocked. It's common for most cars but you may be able to adjust the setting if you contact the manufacturer.

Good communication and professional

Good communication. Kept up to date by phone and email. Install very professional and tidy. Engineer knowledgeable and worked very hard. From ordering to install was over 2 months but I would recommend this company as the value for money compared to others is exceptional.

What a fantastic experience from start…

What a fantastic experience from start to finish. Sonny at PowerVerse made this whole experience easy and seamless and kept me well up to date. 5 weeks from placing order to having a fully installed EV Charger. The charger looks and performs fantastically for my 73 plate Kona.

Have recommended to others successfully and will continue to do so! Thanks Sonny & the wider Powerverse team

Waste of money, choose 3 pin home charging instead.

Waste of money.
Does not trigger charging (esp set time at night off peak) and have to manually click charging.
I have it for 6 months.
Not a single day of satisfactory charging.

I am considering money back option if there is any.

Works great, superb customer care

Revised to 5* Post PV action on feedback

Positives
1. Great value - cheapest I could find on the market.
2. Installed (chargedEV) - knowledgeable with neat install.
3. Fairly quick install time.
4 Superb Customer Service (Special mention to Alex / Nadine)

Negative which turned into a positive
* Charger makes a beeping noise when finished charging, raised issue on this review. (Neighbour commented on its beeping noise at unsociable hours).

Impact was within 24hrs Customer Care called me and PV are working on a patch to remove the beeping from my charger as a test / trial.

For a new company that has listened to its customers, you can’t ask for more than that!

It's not usual behaviour and we will be able to apply a firmware fix for you before the end of the week. Check it works with you pv system

System recommended for PV charging but not possible as installed. They should have known this. Software is clunky and designed for engineers

Waste of Money & Time

I purchased the charger because I was told it is very good and it is solar ready?????? Whilst the charger/hardware is good, the Powerverse app is an absolute disaster, why trial an app with customers when you should be doing it offline before the launch. Solar compatible, it has never worked for me !!!!!!

Update:
Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I agreed for a trial, but it should not be forever, it has been one month since you have launched the trial with no end date.
I reported my issued-on 5th April, followed by two call with your technical team (developed and product manager) but no one came back until 22nd April, when I started sending emails and making phone calls for updates and answers.
Please do not blame your customers as if I have made a mistake opting for trials. All trials should have been checked and tested before the launch. Overall it is very very poorly managed!!

You kindly opted into our Early Access program for our new app and the solar charging function wasn't working as it should be. You were extremely patient during our investigations. This was something that we had previously tested without issue and were really disappointed that it caused you inconvenience in a real-life setting. This is part of why we run Early Access programs and it wouldn't be possible without participative customers like yourself.

We've traced the cause of the issue you've been experiencing to a component of our platform provided by a 3rd party, and we're working closely with them to get it fixed. We'll ensure you're kept informed throughout the week and ensure you are fully satisfied with the outcome before the case is closed.

Of course we will ensure this issue is resolved before the app is released to the general public.
