DO NOT USE - Waste of time

Absolutely terrible customer service, avoid at all costs. Ordered a bar from the web site on 30th April, my 1st warning should have been there is no Phone number to contact anyone - I missed that one.

My "proposed" delivery date of 12th May came and went so I reached out to find out when I may receive my order. 4 emails & 2 web forms later I'm still waiting on a response. In the end, I contacted my credit card company to begin a chargeback request for my money.

They are fast enough to take payment but don't bother to respond to you when you want an update or answers. My advice is buy elsewhere, it will save you a lot of hassle.

Shocking customer service

Did not arrive on day it should UPS…

Did not arrive on day it should UPS said my address was not Valid when it was and had to ring and sort out not the suppliers fault though . Bar arrived and some slats were damp and to short to fit at the front , no bottle opener , no shelf at the back either as per picture does not feel very sturdy and feel like it’s gonna topple over is good quality wood though and can work with it

Terrible product and service

So disappointed with the service and the product. After placing my order I waited over 4 weeks for the parcel to arrive. After countess emails to try and establish when we would receive and never getting a response. Finally the product arrived, light assembly was stated in description. This is untrue you need to fully assemble. To then have multiple pieces of the wood too small and we now have gabs either side. Again emailed to say can someone help me as I am unhappy and again not reply. Also the bar is very flimsy not very safe. Overall completely disappointing and would not use again

Very poor service

Having placed an order, when it failed to arrive I chased it only to be told it would take 12 working days to arrive.
Now a month later I still don’t have the order, the company refuse to communicate with me and I’m none the wiser as to where the bar I ordered is!!

After finally getting around to…

After finally getting around to assembly, the pieces of wood which make up the counter were the worst. Uneven, warped and cracked. Going to be difficult to use in this state.

Porter Bars responded to this feedback and asked me to contact their customer service department. I have emailed them twice and had no response. Clearly they are more concerned about customer reviews than customer service. Very poor

Painless Delivery, great qulaity and easy to assemble

2 about 2 hours to put together (mainly because my knackered old drill wouldn't hold a charge for very long)

clear and simple instructions but would definitely recommend the use of a drill/electric screwdriver as there are a lot of screws involved in putting together.

All in all very pleased

Rustic style bar

The bar came after several delays by UPS (not the suppliers fault) and some pieces of wood were wet. The instructions we could not read as they were soggy too. The bar was easy enough to assemble without them, and once built is very fit for purpose.

AWFUL

It still hasn't even arrived so can't review. Ordered on 20th April. It's now 10th May. It took nearly two weeks just to get an order confirmation through after I paid and it was a hassle trying to get someone to respond to my messages. Wouldn't shop here ever again. Also just got another message from UPS to say parcel is delayed again. Annoying.
UPDATE - 13/05/23 - It finally arrived yesterday. Unwrapped it today and it's all soaking wet inside. Instructions unreadable. Wood is cheap, mouldy and wet through. Comes apart in our hands. Screws were just chucked in the bad packaging and fell out everywhere. Awful awful awful. I feel completely scammed.
