Customer service utterly atrocious, but the product isn't so bad!

I ordered my bar in April when it was rated for a 12 day delivery, I received it in July, months beyond expectations (and the housewarming party I had ordered it for). Emailed weekly but only received two replies. Apparently the paint was taking a while to try and I was offered a plain wood one with an LED strip instead which I agreed to. When it finally arrived it ended up being what I had ordered so no form of compensation offered in the end despite such a crazy delay.

Product was easy enough to assemble, seems quite front heavy so will have to get some weights to stop it falling over! But it does the job.

Scam - awful quality and never replied back to our emails saying we wanted to send it back. Left messages and emails but nothing. Told the banks we believed it to be a scam but they took the money at the 11th hour so not much we could do about it. Please don't take a risk - you will regret it. Avoid, avoid avoid.

Communication with this is company is very poor ordered on 2nd July and still waiting for delivery of the bar always emailing them but no reply just don't know how you can run a business this way

Same as the other reviews, sadly. Have been chasing my order for nearly 2 months!!! Wrong item was sent and also missing parts- I was told replacement parts would be supplied but have never heard anything for weeks now- despite continuous emails!!! Customer service is non-existent!! Avoid this company at ALL costs!!!

Had to chase my order, and then it miraculously started to be prepared and in despatch etc.
Took over 7 weeks to arrive.

Customer service was none existent , ordered in 25th may 2023 arrived 7th July 2023. When opened wood was damp and mouldy. It was a horrible experience dealing with these people, avoid.

Absolute shambles of a company! Haven’t received my package, asked for an update & never provided me one. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I placed an on 16.6.23 which stated a 3 to10 day turnaround I still have not received my order I have emailed numerous times and have not had a reply the customer service is terrible and there is no phone number to speak to anyone

Waiting over 3 months for wooden bar. Still not delivered.

Appalling customer service. I actually thought this was a scam. I ordered in April and virtually no response chasing the items I had purchased. Reported to my credit card company.

Ordered a bar from here and although communication was good the bar wasn’t delivered on time. However when it was delivered it was awful wet un even wood. Definitely not the image in the picture that I ordered. I’m very disappointed in this product and 100% will not order from here again. The photos look like they sell lovely products but the reality is different.
The only reason I haven’t returned it is because of the haste of dismantling it.
But I hope this review will help others.

Bar not as described or as image on website. Very poorly made. Wood breakages at already assembled screw heads, tool marks from sander all across top. No reply received when tried to follow up after delivery via email or via website. Avoid.

This company is a "complete joke, I still haven't fecieved my order, that's since may, I tried to cancel it at least 3 times then they have the cheek to ask how I enjoyed my experience, I would say to every one don't bother with this absolute Shower

Ordered beginning of May yet to receive. Looking further at website and lack of verified company information, this is a business to be avoided.

Still nothing or response in August. Doubt I'll see my order or my money.

Ordered this for my Son-in-Law's birthday in plenty of time but it arrived 2 days late. However; he loves it (even though it is a lot smaller than I thought it would be!).

AVOID!!!!! Would rather give no stars. My father in law purchased a bar start of may… delivery date came and went.. the company responded to two emails saying the item will be with him next week… we’re now nearly into July with no bar and now emails being ignored. Now having to contact credit card for a refund! Terrible service! Do not recommend this company!!

I have been trying to contact Porter bars for an update on my order but having no luck. The shop app to track does not let me and all it wants me to do is buy things. I just either want my bar or my money back. I only wished I had read these reviews before I spent the money as I have saved so hard for this.

Bar was dispatched at the end of the 12 working days like they said they would. It arrived and was perfectly fine. All the bits came together nicely. Couple of bits were a bit damp but think thats as they are wrapped in clingfilm. Overall though bar looks good and ive had no issues getting it

If I could give a minus stars I would. It has been one fiasco after another.
the advertisement said it would be with me between 7-14 working days, a month later and 3 emails (which they never replied too) it arrive with no instruction email again and still no reply the whole thing does not work the wood is reclaimed wood, which is good but not the drill hole seam to be all over the place and none of then countersink. The packaging was sight for sore eyes wrapped in what looks like thick black refuse sack and cardboard. I would not recommend this to anyone based on poor customer service

My Son ordered a bar months ago
Problems from the start
Still has pieces of wood in his conservatory.
No fixtures, fittings or the LED bar.
They cannot use it obviously but the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.
Absolutely shocking!!!
Promises, lies and then nothing over and over again.
They should not be allowed to trade at all, and after reading all these negative reviews it seems this is wide spread.
I feel sick to think you can give them one star it should be none.
If you are honestly considering using this company PLEASE DON’T!!!!

Finally received the missing fixtures and fittings a month later after continuing resistance from Porter Bars. Then when everything was laid out to build there were several pieces missing.
Promised every day this week that the parts would be resent, nothing is happening and their ignorance is becoming extremely stressful.
Why is this company still trading?
Still not resolved but now have relevant retail authorities and ombudsman support.
I suggest anyone with similar problems to take it further.
