I have dealt with Polar Bear windows of Bristol several times now. Even from covid times they have delivered a good service. I have had windows and two composite doors installed. They are NOT cheap, but the quality is obvious in both materials and security. Communication is excellent and their fitters are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. There has not been a single problem with a door fitted 7 years ago and it still looks good as new. I expect my new front door to live up to the same standards. You have to pay for quality, but in the long run it is definitely worthwhile.

I requested a quote to get my windows replaced and Melissa assisted with making the process extremely simple. Great customer service!

Glenn was very polite, helpful and professional when carrying out the quote for our windows and patio doors. Whilst the windows look good and the fitters did a good job. I found the office staff very PUSHY, I had phone calls & emails on consecutive days after receiving the quote putting unnecessarily pressure on me to fix a date for instillation , once i agreed the quote and had paid a deposit I received more emails demanding payment to be paid up front weeks before the installation date, on the 1st day of the installation of the windows, I had an email demanding final payment from me, the works had hardly started. I was considering having other windows replaced by Polar Bear Windows, but having received threating emails for small final payment for windows and doors that have only been fitted in the last 4 days I would not use this company again nor I would not recommend this company.

Went to Polar Bear Windows to replace an old patio door with new bifolds. They had the best price and just as importantly their customer service and fitting were a really high standard. Great company will definitely use again.

Need to review to warn people 7 yrs on rubber gasket coming apart on bi folds which were chucked up. No doorstop put on. Rubber missing around window. Now they have outsourced to Britannia for issues which guarantee means 0 the cost for visit is £££ and getting hold of anyone is a nightmare plus the gasket is not one you can get anymore. Couple of top windows also not closing easily.

Door looks brilliant. Well priced, tidily installed. I'd definitely recommend them.

Excellent service from a really good reliable company the fitters turned up on time! Tidied up after their work and even hoovered the carpet once the job was done I would not hesitate to receive this company .

Not even a customer but they have left rubbish outside my house, blocking my path, for more than two days now after working on a nearby property. Have called multiple times and been told it will be collected but they have not come. The rubbish left behind is longer than my house is wide and there is nowhere for me to put it without causing a nuisance to other neighbours. Absolutely awful, would give 0/5 if possible.

I recently had three windows and a front door supplied and fitted by Polar Bear Windows. From the initial enquiry, the survey, the second visit and then the fitting of the above, it has been absolutely flawless. Every encounter has been professional, friendly, helpful and definitely not pushy. I was kept up to date on every aspect and cannot recommend this company enough. Installation was quick and done to a high standard which is expected and the after sales service has been nothing short of excellent. I thoroughly recommend this company and am delighted with the work they have carried out for me.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. They were able to fit the door earlier than first arranged .The fitters were friendly and did a great job. We have used Polar Bear Windows before and we are very pleased with their products.

Very unpleasent experience from polar bear window. My UPVC front porch build by polar bear in year 2017. Water leaking from between the front porch and the house after 18 months. I complained to polar bear window. They come to put silicone on the flashing lead to prevent leaking again. But it leaks again in heavy rain. I called polar bear about it but they just get the technician come to check and promised will come to sort it out for me. At the end, they didn't come and use a lot of excuses to not to follow up anymore.
Apart from that, when they finished the UPVC front porch. I found they used Black UPVC on two sides but it should be all WHITE UPVC. Apparently they are not happy about I had complaints about some of the UPVC panet got some crack and they revenge on put different colour on the porch. I complained to their office again and they eventually asked anyone to take out the BLACK UPVC and fitted the ALL WHITE UPVC instead.
Another argument is the concrete base. They promise that will put all new concrete base for the front porch. But when I found they just tried to extend the concrete base for the old base but not the whole new base. I complained about it again. At the end they compromised to put a new concrete base but when they finished the porch roof. I found more than ten roof tiles got the cracks. I have to complain about the cracks and they eventually replaced the cracked roof tiles.
I just wanted to share my unpleasant experience from Polar Bear Window for my Front Porch. Until now, the front porch still got leaking when heavy rain. I will never recommend to anyone due to my horrible experience.

Great service and very knowledgeable

Do not use Polar Bear Windows unless you want £1,000's worth of damage caused to your house that they will refuse to pay to repair.

We hired them to replace ten windows and two doors, the installer fitted all of these in less than one day. It was clear he was rushing, and we raised our concerns with Polar Bear Windows. These concerns were dismissed.

Roll forward a year and we notice the wallpaper on our landing peeling, we removed it to find a massive damp patch. We called out a specialist Damp Surveyor who carried out loads of tests and identified the cause of the damp was the landing window not being installed properly by Polar Bear Windows, they also stated the plaster and wall were contaminated with hygroscopic salts due to the extent of the damp, and therefore the plaster needed to be removed and replaced. We reported this to Polar Bear Windows, who accepted the findings, sent someone round to reinstall the window correctly (we have had no further damp since it was reinstalled) but have refused to cover the repair cost despite a surveyor stating it was due to their negligence.

We are currently progressing legal action to cover the cost of this damage

We also found damp in a bedroom so we checked that window and found there was no sealant at all on the outside of the window and you can see the expanding foam! luckily this room wasn't wallpapered so we discovered it prior to any serious damage occurring.

Other issues included being told that in order to comply with building regulations we had to have trickle vents installed, yet when they installed the windows there were no vents. When we questioned this we were told we should have checked our quote properly, however we assumed that as it was something we had to have to have by law then it wouldn't be on the quote, anymore than you would expect to see seatbelts listed on a car invoice.

All in all they are a terrible company who treat their customers awfully, so I would definitely not recommend using Polar Bear Windows

Today I met John from Polar Bear Windows. He came to survey my back door which needs replacing. He was very personable, friendly and professional. He listened to what I wanted. He didn't try to persuade me to have something different or bombard me with unecessary facts and figures. He was confident in his job and his company which in turn gave me confidence that I was dealing with reputable people. I was happy with the quote I recieved and am now waitng to proceed. So far so good.

I have used polar bear windows previously so didn’t hesitate to use again this time. excellent communication from Rosie, and a great service from the surveyor and fitters. The job was finished In half a day and the men worked hard and were really clean and tidy. Really pleased with my new windows, would definitely recommend.

Had my new pvc windows and patio door fitted by polar bear windows. Couldn't be happier with this company absolutely no issues from ordering to fitting by Jamie and Rickie who were so good very polite and kept me informed as to what was going on. Left every where they worked very tidy at the end of the day. Would very much recommend Polar bear windows for anyone thinking of having new windows or doors in the future.
